My Far Away Siblings

Though miles may stretch, and oceans lie, Between us, vast and 'neath the sky, A bond of blood, a kinship deep, A love that time can never keep From reaching out, from bridging space, And painting smiles upon each face. We are like strangers, met by chance, Yet in our hearts, a knowing glance, A recognition, clear and bright, That binds us through the darkest night. We are siblings, though apart we roam, Forever etched within our home. The years may pass, the seasons change, But still our love will rearrange, And find a way, a whispered word, A memory held, a love unheard, Yet felt so deeply, understood, A family tie, of siblinghood, that knows no end, A love that time can't comprehend. So, raise a glass, to distant kin, Whose hearts beat close, where're they've been, For in our souls, a truth remains, Our love will conquer, break the chains Of distance vast, and time's slow tide, Our bond is unbreakable, side by side. Forever siblings, though far away, Our love will stand the test of time. 2000
