I wanted this poem to show even though your pockets are empty there is somethings more important and in life that a can leave one feeling blessed.

In a world where gold is the tether, And friendships weigh in bank accounts, I walk alone, but light as feather, With dreams that climb, no matter how much mounts. My pockets echo emptiness, But my spirit struts with flair, Can’t buy me loyalty or tenderness, But I glide through life, hands in the air. Can’t be my friend cause all my money’s spent, Yet laughter blooms where coins once lay, In every moment, I’m rich in intent, My heart beats bold, come what may. I don’t clock in, no job to define, But still I dazzle, still I shine bright, With each step taken, I know I’ll be fine, For wealth isn’t all that ignites inner light. So here I stand, a shimmering sight, In the wealth of my spirit, I thrive, I may lack the gold, but that’s alright, With passion ablaze, it’s true I’m alive.
