I Am Human: The Ancestry in Me

I am that human, who is proud and strong,
I am that human who was once wild and free.
I am that human climbing mountains, who struggles to reach its highest peak,
Only to climb back down and do it all over again.

I am that human who is adventurous,
That long to travel the oceans, lands, seas and skies,
In search of new places.

I am that human the slaver,
Who chained other humans like me.
Believing they were beneath me,
Just because their skin color, faith, and language weren't like mine.

I am that human praying for freedom from chains and cages,
Locked by my oppressor.
And I am that human who ripped open cage bars,
Breaking the chains that bound me to the ground.

I am that human who walked miles, through tunnels, and woods.
Who hidden away on boats, ships, and airplanes,
And I was that human who ran as fast as I could.
Jumped into unknown waters just to get away,
Until I could find a place where I could belong,
From the evil that you've done!

I am that human who confronted your deepest evil,
That human who wanted your land.
I am your judge, jury, and executioner,
Who put the eye of evil on you for all the sins that you did.

I am that human who others are burning at the stake.
I am the mob who is watching you burn.
I am that human begging to be believed.
I am that so-called human who is praying for your soul.
I was that human crying in pain as flames melt my skin completely away,
And I was that human cursing you with my final breath.

But I am also that human who still sees the beauty of life in this world,
But also, the ugliness and hate that engulfs it.

I am that human who is kind, caring, and giving,
But also, I can be that human who lets greed, and jealousy turn me green.
I am that human who has betrayed, and steals.
I am that human who fears the unknown,
I am that hideous person who has raped and killed just because.
But yet, I am that human who can love.

I am that human who worships and kneels before God,
And I am that amazing human who dances to their own tune.
But yet be the villain or hero in your very own storybook.

?For I am that human who has sinned.

Calling On Jesus

In sunshine bright, and days serene,
My heart will lift, a joyful scene.
I'll call on Jesus, strong and true,
His love and grace, forever new.

When shadows fall, and darkness reigns,
And sorrow's weight my spirit strains,
I'll kneel in dust, with humble plea,
And call on Jesus, set me free.

When anger's fire begins to rise,
And threatens to explode my eyes,
I'll call on Jesus, Mighty Lord,
To still the storm, and speak his word.

For through it all, he's by my side,
My constant guide, my strength, my pride.
In every moment, good or dire,
My faith in Jesus burns like fire.

He's always there, a loving hand,
To understand, to help me stand.
So, I will call, with grateful heart,
On Jesus, from the very start.

March A Symphony of Change

March strides in, bold and bright,
A bridge between the chill and light.
Its winds may howl, its skies may cry,
Yet whispers of spring begin to sigh.

The **Spring Equinox** takes the stage,
Day and night meet, page by page.
A balance struck, a turning key,
To warmer days and blossoms free.

On the 8th, we raise our voice,
**International Women's Day**, a time to rejoice.
With courage and grace, the world they steer,
Their stories echo, sharp and clear.

The 14th brings a playful cheer,
**Pi Day** comes, math lovers for,
A slice of pie, a swirl of thought,
Infinity’s beauty can’t be caught.

Colors explode under March's skies,
As **Holi** spreads its vibrant dyes.
Laughter rings, the air’s alive,
In this celebration, love will thrive.

Green and gold on the 17th shine,
**St. Patrick’s Day**, a day divine.
With shamrocks worn and spirits high,
We toast to tales of lore gone by.

A slam, a shot, a buzzer’s call—
**March Madness** captivates all.
Basketball’s drama fills the air,
Hope and heartbreak everywhere.

Pink petals frame the March embrace,
The **Cherry Blossoms** bloom with grace.
Festivals erupt in soft delight,
Nature’s canvas painted bright.

A clock’s small hand leaps boldly on,
With **Daylight Saving Time**, we yawn.
One hour lost, one hour gained,
Yet evening light is entertained.

**World Wildlife Day**, a gentle plea,
To guard the wonders of land and sea.
From creatures great to the smallest start,
Protect their home, their beating heart.

It’s **National Nutrition Month**, they say,
To fuel our bodies every day.
With healthful bites and mindful care,
We honor wellness everywhere.

March, a month of joy untamed,
Its vibrant chorus, aptly named.
An array of life renewed,
A season’s dance, a shifting mood.

What Love Means to Me

Love is the sunrise, golden and warm,
A beacon of calm amidst life's storms.
A hand to hold when skies turn grey,
A gentle guide to light the way.

Love is the rhythm of hearts in sync,
A bond unspoken, a fragile link.
It’s found in silence, in whispered tone,
In knowing eyes that feel like home.

Love is the roots of an ancient tree,
Anchoring souls, steadfast and free.
It grows in shadows, in light, in rain,
Through droughts of sorrow, through floods of pain.

Love is the rhythm of the ocean’s tide,
A force unseen, yet impossible to hide.
It carves through stone, reshapes the shore,
Its depth unknown, its presence lore.

Love is forgiving, a balm for the heart,
The glue that keeps broken pieces apart.
It mends and heals, though scarred and torn,
Transforming hurts where hope is reborn.

Love is the quiet in a restless night,
The star that gleams with enduring light.
Though distant it seems, or cloaked in despair,
It’s an eternal truth, always there.

Love is a story, penned unseen,
A tapestry woven with threads serene.
From joy and grief, it weaves its art,
The soul of existence, the core of the heart.

This is love, as vast as the sea,
A life’s devotion, a precious decree.
Through time and space, through mystery’s plea,
This is what love will always be.

The Fractured Clock

The clock face glares, a mocking, sterile white,
Each tick seemed like a hammer striking a blow upon my soul.
If I could rewind, erase the darkened night,
And make our fractured story whole,

I'd turn back time, erasing all the bitter stings,
The careless words, the thoughtless, and the cruel neglect.
I'd learn to value the happiness that you bring upon my heart,
And treat your heart with all reverence and respect that you deserve.

If I could journey back to that sweet start,
Before the cracks and fissures started to penetrate deep tearing us apart,
I'd hold you closer, and cherish every part,
And the promises of devotion I would keep.

I'd love you more, with every breath that I drew,
You would be the constant flame that I would consume for all my days.
I'd give my heart, eternally to you to keep,
Forever lost in the sunlight of your loving gaze.

I wouldn't flee, nor be afraid of my lovers embrace,
No longer would I be blinded by my selfish fear.
I'd find my home within your gentle space,
And banish shadows, holding on to you forever throughout any storm.

But time, relentless, marches ever on,
A one-way street, with no U-turns.
All I can offer is a mournful sigh,
A whispered plea, that will be forever lost in the passing crowd.

January

In whispered hushes, the year awakes,
A canvas fresh, where dreams will take.
January’s breath, crisp and clear,
A brushstroke bold in time’s frontier.

Fireworks bloom in velvet skies,
Dreams ignited, hopes aimed high.
Resolutions inked in hearts anew,
Paths imagined, leading through.

Snow-clad earth, Winter’s delight,
A **Wonderland** bathed in silver light.
Frosted panes hold tales yet to be told,
While ambered hearths shield us from cold.

Children laugh on hills of white,
Sleds in flight, pure winter’s might.
Yet beneath the joy, pause we must,
To honor a dream both fierce and just.

**Martin Luther King Jr.**, a name profound,
His voice for justice eternally resounds.
With love and courage, he dared to say,
“Let freedom and equality light our way.”

Mentors rise with a guiding flame,
Quiet heroes, unspoken fame.
In **National Mentoring Month**, we find,
The power of teaching—a gift so kind.

Steam swirls from **Hot Tea’s** embrace,
Warming the chill, grounding the space.
Chamomile soothes, and chai boldly sings,
In porcelain cups, comfort brings.

Curtains lift, a stage aglow,
The shimmer of **Awards Season** begins to show.
Golden Globes gleam; they spin their tales,
The magic of stories on wintry trails.

**Creativity reigns** in this icy sphere,
Where ideas shimmer, vivid and sincere.
Brushes paint dreams, pens write their claim,
Imagination dances, unbound by name.

Snow festivals rise, crystalline art,
Beauty sculpted—a frosted heart.
Under soft flakes, angels appear,
Children’s laughter draws us in.

Feathered messengers in skies profound,
On **National Bird Day**, their songs resound.
From sparrow’s call to eagle’s pride,
Nature’s music is a joy worldwide.

Across oceans wide, a sunlit ray,
Marks bright **Australia Day**’s array.
Barbecues sizzle, waves softly play,
Celebrating a land of endless days.

Among joy and tears, the time does flow,
The births and losses that help us grow.
Memories etched in January's scroll,
Each moment a chapter, each soul made whole.

The Weight of Waste

A flick of the wrist, a casual release,
We label it 'trash,' find momentary peace.
Yet whispers rise from a world in slow decline,
A burden building, a tangled, choking vine.

Our Mother Earth, once vibrant, strong, and free,
Now stumbles, gasping, for all the world to see.
Her painted landscapes, exquisite and so deep,
Are fading fast, as sorrow starts to creep.

Each bottle, each can, a mark of our sin,
A wound on her skin where the poisons begin.
We bury our heads in a comfort-laced dream,
While mountains of waste choke the life from the stream.

A landscape shifts to bleakness, stark and bare,
Polluted skies hang heavy in the air.
The children's laughter fades, a distant plea,
No verdant fields, no space for them to play.

Perhaps we'll stir when skies begin to weep,
When poisoned winds disturb our slumber deep.
Too late we'll learn, with gasps of aching breath,
That apathy had dealt the final death.
Remember now, before the final toll,
Before we carve a scar upon her soul.
Trash is not just trash, a careless, fleeting whim,
It's life itself, growing dim, growing grim.

So, lift your gaze, and mend your careless ways,
Recycle, reuse, let Earth have more brighter days.
Preserve her beauty, with a conscious, caring hand,
Leave not a trace, let future generations have a chance.

My Final Voyage

The journey was long, now the time has come,
My weary soul has finally taken its final run.
I close my eyes, release my last breath,
And now a new journey begins, beyond all death,
To guide me home, a peaceful rest.

Do not grieve, my family, my friends so dear,
Though my absence brings sorrowful tears.
Just know I've walked a path, both dark and bright,
And had enough of day and night.
I've seen the world, and all the beauty that shines,
And weathered storms, both good and bad.

So, dry your eyes, and let no sorrow dwell,
For in your lives, I lived so well.
To watch you all bloom, has been a precious sight,
That has kept smiles upon my face.
But now a voice, a gentle call,
Call’s out to me saying 'Dear child, you've seen enough, your task is through.’
‘All your suffering ends here, it is time to come home.’
‘A new beginning waits for you.’
‘So, take my angel's hand, do not fear,
Ascend with them, your father will be waiting here.'

I'll watch from my throne beyond the blue,
With loved ones that have gone way before you.

Just remember my dear loved ones,
Deep in your hearts, I will always be there,
This is my silent promise I give to you just think of me and I will always be there.
As I begin my final journey that takes my physical body away from you.
But know this my love will always stay with you,
Until we meet again, someday.

Who Says a Woman Can’t Rule?

Who says a woman can’t bear the crown,
And lead a nation, renown upon renown?
Who says her hands can’t hold the reins,
Guiding her people through joys and pains?

America, the land of the free,
Where the future whispers, “She might be…”
A leader strong, with vision bright,
Who dares to stand, who dares to fight.

Think of Hatshepsut, the Pharaoh Queen,
A ruler bold, though disguise was seen.
She donned the beard, she wore the guise,
But her power soared to the Egyptian skies.

Zenobia, the warrior, the rebel’s flame,
Who challenged Rome, carved her name.
With wit and steel, she took her chance,
And wove her story in the sands of romance.

Wu Zetian, fierce and wise,
With rivals crushed and no compromise.
Loved and feared, her legacy vast,
A testament carved to make judgments last.

And England’s Virgin Queen, alone she stood,
A marriage of power—her reign was her good.
Elizabeth, the monarch who swayed the seas,
Her strength is as steady as the London breeze.

Catherine the Great, the muse of reform,
Through Russian winters, she weathered the storm.
Philosopher queen, whose legacy runs deep,
A reminder that empires are hers to keep.

Who says a woman can’t rule with fire?
Who says she can’t rise higher and higher?
They’ve crushed the chains, they’ve shattered the glass,
Their stories echo from the echoes of the past.

Let America rise, let her heed the call,
For a woman may lead and lead us all.
Not bound by gender, but wisdom and grace—
A president’s power, in her rightful place.

So, who says a woman can’t rule the land?
She’ll rise, unshaken, with a steady hand.
For history whispers, both loud and clear:
The future is hers—her time is coming near.

Yogi Bear and Boo-boo Too

Oh, Jellystone Park, where echoes reside,
In the whispers of trees and the brook's gentle glide.
A haven of mischief, of laughter, of cheer,
Where two famous bears roam year after year.

Yogi, the leader, so quick with a plan,
A bear of bold wit, a most cunning fan.
With his tie so dapper, his hat tilted just so,
A schemer of schemes wherever he’d go.

“Hey, Boo-Boo, my buddy, this picnic’s for us!
Why should baskets just sit without any fuss?”
But Boo-Boo would frown, his tiny heart torn,
“Yogi, you know it’s not something we should do.”

“Relax, little buddy, don’t worry your head,
We’ll leave no crumbs, not a shred on this spread.
The ranger’s too slow, too busy, he'll be too late
We’ve got the smarts; we will surely change our fate!”

Round the park they would prance, a duo unmatched,
Through covert escapes, their plans always hatched.
Scaling high treetops, diving through streams,
Their friendship unshaken, as sure as their dreams.

For Boo-Boo, the conscience, so wise, so composed,
Would soften the edges of Yogi’s repose.
“Yogi, my friend, think of what we might lose,
If the Ranger gets mad for the baskets we take!”

But Yogi grins, his charm lighting the day,
“Boo-Boo, my logic will show us the way!
The park is our home, so lively, so vast,
We’re just sharing its gifts while the moment lasts.”

The ranger may grumble, his whistle may blow,
But Yogi outmaneuvers, he’s too fast to his slow.
With a wink and a laugh, and Boo-Boo in tow,
They vanish through pines where the breezes still blow.

Oh, Jellystone Park, a stage for the pair,
Their antics are immortal, etched in the air.
For Yogi’s bold heart and Boo-Boo’s soft soul,
Create a harmony, a timeless patrol.

Though baskets may vanish, and tempers may flare,
There’s love in abundance when these two are there.
Oh, Yogi and Boo-Boo, a duo so rare,
Cartoonish legends whose "Smarter than the avenge bear!"
