When Heaven Parts

When the day descends, and the heavens' part wide, Will you stand firm, or will you choose to hide? With light ever blazing, and love pure as gold, Will you greet him with trust, or let doubts take hold? When the trumpet is sounded, and all eyes are drawn, Will you step toward the light or flee at dawn? In the gathering shadows, where whispers abound, Will you follow him bravely, though lost may be found? For what if the call comes, and you're not the first? Will you linger in longing, or quench your own thirst? Will you wait for the echoes of laughter and cheer, Or embrace the still silence, and let go of fear? In the depth of your heart, where the answers reside, Will you recognize him, with arms open wide? Or will the flickers of doubt cloud your spirit like mist, As you search for the signs, will you falter or persist? For the choice lies before you, in this moment, this hour, Will you rise in devotion, or shrink from his power? When He stands there in glory, do you know Him in truth, The whisper of love sweet, like the light of your youth? So, ponder the question, as the day draws near, Will you follow the path set, in joy or in fear? For the kingdom awaits, with gates flung apart, And the answer to all lies within your own heart.
