One doesn’t stand on the Bongo
With roller affixed to the floor,
But sway as a reed in the wind
Or risk finding oneself thrown o’er.
A lesson from this childhood game:
Our center is found only with change.
The path to an equilib life
Is balancing our yin and our yang.
unsouled seem I as binary star
a twin forever separated in time
space holds ace yet cause and effect
must harvest its dues, no tasty stew
breathed as one by the One
masculine to ground feminine
to sky ~ high is low, mirroring sows
east ties west, four feet be blessed
hearts entwined for missions divine
dualistic artistic to be realistic
black with white etheric swirls
through aeons timelines twirled
union within is goal to achieve
like worker bees we do believe
yin-yang is Almighty's conceive
unsouled we weave to finally
c l e a v e ~

Allpoetry Contest: Theme : unsouled
May 26
I wasn't long in Hong Kong,
before I saw my first tai chi,
and it gave me the strangest notion,
the exercisers, advancing all in a row,
were line dancing in slow motion.
They put their left hand in,
right hand out,
in, out, in, out,
waved them all about
and, set to soothing, soulful music,
the male practitioners suggestively sang,
"If you show me your yin,
I'll show you my yang."
Reflecting on times, ones perfectly certain,
Without shadows of doubt on the mind,
As though shining, waiting by black or white curtains,
As though truth were so easy to find,
So clear now it seems, contrary to say,
Such clarity is not in the slightest,
As black, surely, but one dark shade of grey,
And pure white, just another, the lightest.
The yin and yang
Of heavy heart
Orange female tiger
Male azure dragon with spark
Jubilant jaded laugh
Inside jaundice jokes
One can follow one’s path
Face what lies ahead with hope
It cannot be helped
You must weather storm
Life isn’t always fair
Always be in true form
Let go and let God
Grannie sings with faith
Be sure to guard heart
Save for rainy day
Do you learn white wisdom
From elegant emerald elders
Are you led by mission
Experience of life a welder’s
Fire to flaming silver steel
Molding you into amethyst art
However you may fuchsia feel
For growth we need light and dark
Where my yin meets my yang
I hear a dissonant clang
My physician traced it back
all the way to the ‘Big Bang’
Seems I hopped aboard an asteroid
went for a wild ride
Hit my head on a comet
blasphemed, ‘God damn it!’
the silence that listens -
the stillness that anticipates
what is one
becomes the other
Earth spins
from yin to yang
- dark to light
- death to growth
what is one
becomes the other
infinite duality
less than grains of sand
in a mirror that reflects nothing
but a fleeting conscience
- seeds from death
that grow in the light
black is white and...
Bequeathed of the faculty of
balanced return, of equilibrium,
turning the totem burn of caloric expectancy,
cause and effect
translating universal machine dialect
satellite positioning itself in the physics of
affection, affinity, sistered brotherhood in
reality check of relative fee.
Beneath the atmosphere, here,
clings one to another like faded dusk
to a pregnant dawn.
As he leaves, she returns, again
to meet him in circular run.
In Fibonacci launchpad portals of
action and reaction chained to loop again.
Chi and grace turns,- will and space.
Like a cog that swings the pendulum scale,
weighing relational phi in the window of pi?
Certainly in the window of possibility
where the harmonic scale is like two dragons
chasing each other's tales,
hooking claws into foothold of reality,
like a fitting piece of harmonic puzzle poetry.
There is no facade here, no illusion or trickery.
Science is poetry and poetry is the science
of the mind in artistry, intertwined.
Everything with potential, dependency.
Yin and Yang,
of the divine.
Inhale, exhale, like accordion-
organ of music in your being, conducive.
Nor elusive to your counterpart, woman.
Be thou what you love to be.
Do not listen to militants
that whisper fighting words out of insecurity,
that smell a foul smell,
of self burning the fields,
the green things of bountiful yields,
leave us choking on the smoked embers,
entrails of the tares, and quardon off cultivation
for the Valleys of shale.
Overtaken, by crawling things.
Or a boastful hare, with Men's running shoes and masculine fare.
Always in a race, bating with trickery,
the illusionist Tortoise against her own shell.
Nourishment is an honor bestowed.
Remember, that the servant is truly the King.
The provider is the Matriarch held in the greatest of steams,
saute of the home,
taste of generosity,
aroma of security.
Yang, you have quite the mistress,
indeed the support of a mystery,
remember this, well.
You know what you want, it is a golden woman,
one to impress and send you her look
that makes all else pale.
Do not take for granted that she is there.
To make you laugh as she clowns with the children, wearing many crowns of the wildren.
She is the diadem that adorns you,
the gem you need to daily win, in your adventure
that she stars along side you in.
There is no lesser or greater than.
There is only Yin and Yang,
and vessels to counterpart, therein.
Yang, Yin is your match, she is your clasp,
a star that dares you to dream, and catch.
I've heard the opposite of love is indifference,
I think something different than that,
It's hate, though the hollows of nothing, far worse,
Solidified matter of fact,
Only through hate can we know of love's place,
Just as sweltering sweat makes us cold,
And the way that the moon steals sunlight for the night,
Day to dark, when cowards turn bold,
In my relative time here on Earth I have seen,
Blinding pain allows joy to exist,
And I think about life after death, God and hell,
Honestly hard to tell which is which,
I seek endlessly for answers to questions unknown,
Choose between keeping peace or to fight,
Finding yin and yang as a guide, always wrong,
But then again, never not right,
All the same, here we are, none and all, simultaneously,
Differentiating between the twos,
When one is the other, the other the one,
Dualities transcend me and you.
Beneath Yin yang clouds
it’s all in how you see it,
what’s Sun or the rain.
Tao clears mind myriad
Hears gurgled stream trickle
Rejuvenating ease of river
Impels an outlook simple
Verdant steppes imperial
Embrace ouroboros cycle
Joined tail to mouth control
Overcomes chaotic combat
Yin Yan hug in completeness
Temple of self empty vessel
Approaches each hour in Wu Wei
Jaws of serpent ensure return
Iteration eats its tail
Tadpole twirled stronghold
Unhurried harmonious spiral
February finding out
The giftee rings true only when their offering is given without greed
and when received in gentleness without tug it will surely supersede
Love is the union of two people who willingly sacrifice themselves
Lust is a brash rub of emotion that with selfish intent often delves
Truth is honest, open and often patient, in expressing its commitment
Lies on the other hand are cunning and always eager to increment
Isolation can lead to separation along with deep seated loneliness
but recognizing same in others can be a moment of deep awareness

Even brightest of lights hold coldest
Of shadows in their warm embrace.
