A Soul With Sight

Our souls are like small houses in a field...
Some keep their windows closed up like a shield..
Others throw open their french doors and
let the whole world in..
There are a few that peek through the basement
windows and hide in sin..
I try to stay on the top floor with the curtains
drawn open wide..
I gaze hopefully out my window, but even with or
without mistakes I can't hide...
I need to see for I can write, for the world outside
my soul is my sight..

What If

What if only there
                                        could be
                                         PEACE?
                                   For our nation,children
                                         family and
                                          friends.
                                   What kind of world
                                         would it
                                             BE?
                                    Imagine, the world with
                                          out guns,
                                           killings.
Will our world ever be able
                                          to get along
                                            together?
                                     What if only there
                                            could be
                                           PEACE?

Premium Member Journey To Eternity

Even the gulls have ceased their squawking
     V-formations over eerie, calm seas
Is it you? The ferryboat man?
Making your way across waters without breeze

No lapping waves, sand fine as silt
Makes no sound as I leave footprints
A misty morning, no shells crack ‘neath my feet
The red orb rises, causes me to squint

Alone with my thoughts by the River Styx
I sense the passage from this world to the next
My mind on heaven seems transfixed
I stand and stare by quietude perplexed

The ferryboat man reaches shore
A wave of his hand beckons me
Without a word I board his craft
Before me lays the journey to eternity

Serenity comes as we cross the river
A world without sound surrounds me
A world that I willingly choose to leave
All senses drained now, as death I foresee

Annihilation

Norman Wisdom, ninety-five, the comic actor dies in his sleep;
That is an exception, making headlines when violent ends have become the norm.
Bobby Sands, an IRA militant, died in prison, on hunger strike,
Baha Mousa, innocent Iraqi, died in custody, tortured, in chains.

Six million Jews of all ages, died in gas chambers - the Nazi Holocaust.
Two world wars of the recent past saw untimely massacre of many millions;
Hiorshima, Nagasaki, A-bombed victims were civilians,
Yet all world religions proscribe taking the lives of fellow human beings.

Death is demeaning to all who succumb, unless from age or natural cause,
Technology advances in geometric progression inflaming mankind's lust to kill;
Today's art and entertainment glorify extremes of violence and crime,
The end of the planet cannot be far off, as collective hatred explodes at will.

Oceans started to rise
As polar caps melted
Meteors fell from the skies
The Earth’s surface was pelted

The days grew dark
Radiation was high
Cosmic sparks
Lit up the sky

Religious zealots started fighting
Earthquakes continued to rumble
Mayan cults were uniting
Governments started to tumble

Fear grew rampant
As death counts mounted
Cities were vacant
Safe havens were touted

People looking for answers
As chaos ensued
Religions needed enhancers
Scapegoats were pursued

Prognosticators saying,
“I told you so
The end not delaying
Pray for your soul”

Humanity extinguished
Except for a few
The prepared distinguished
Who knew what to do

A new world was born
In 2013
The old world forlorn
Never again to be seen

The World

This world is full of people
who take life as a game. And
likes to see everybody else in pain, feeling
down and ashamed.
This world is a place
in which god put us all
for a reason.I feel everyone should be treated equal,
we are all gods people.
This world i know is full of good
even though people claim, that their act of
violence comes from living in the hood.
But it up to you,to make your life better,
don't hate everybody because you don't have it together.
You have an opportunity to do what right
no matter if it takes all your life. But,
best believe though it will change your life.
No one gets a second chance at life,so take my advice
and do what's right!

A Gift To Death's Guardian

exorcising the devil out of god
may require killing the antichrist
to blow the devil's mind

Possessed by a prophet
one who wouldn't give me a turn
at self love
and this upset god

with a deaf muse of irony
reality upset god fell out of love with the meaning of life
and in love with the wrong man
freaking out to lead the backwards logic
for certain characters to be at the right place at the right time

A poetic wizard who had written poems on the walls of his jail cell
proves everybodies innocence
with death on the scene
narrowing down the locations
that evil has left to hide

a world deadlocked with the proof
I can end the world at anytime

Mother nature a friend of mine for growing the right things that shifted my consciousness

through word of mouth of previous happenings
mankind becoming humbly aware
they too will be appeased
with the knowledge of this date with destiny
they conspire to do the right things

Tower of Babel

Written by the wisest of man
The reign of loss; the age of sand
Ancient scribes search in their hearts
For what will be once they depart

The course is vain, carved by self-need
The river flows from beauty to greed
Gods of love detached from their sight
Excuses now to murder the light

Wisdom knows the pleasure that sings
In the minds of desperate things
Just one pretext and all would collapse
Into the world which they are now trapped

Open eyes scanning for sight
The darkened mass creating the night
The ashen blood coating their dreams
In which they laugh for lack of true sleep

A world of one, Babylon’s pride
The tower formed, pleasing their lies
The wakeful flow with passion unhinged
But love is caught and numbed by syringe

Written now for the wisest of those
That may awake from forceful repose
A guiding star upon inner truth
Awake to strength or find it removed

Hollywood Homework

Since im an overbudget million dollar man
i should know how to act out one of the perfect lives
three of them a part of a matrix of pulling off a utopia
what life lessons do these actors need to act out
for the audience to understand which part of the holy plan we are at
which part of the rapture for peace can we all act out
the golden child metaphor no longer leaves you walking a red carpet grave
the hand you are dealing yourself you learn to stack your own deck

Muse of inspiration of such an elaborate plan
of writers, singers actors, working together in unison
step by step
scene by scene of three perfect lives that pull of world peace
the big plan for the planet to watch the show, and cheerlead them by song
if you have a job or are alive
either way you are hired to do this
a plan you cannot fail
because you will get it eventually
the world is a stage
welcome to the planet

Walk with me, my child, before you grow
Hear of the world I’d like you to know

A unified Earth without country divisions
One without governments to make decisions

A world where people are not judged by race
Color neutral, can you imagine this place?

Freedom to worship as each one pleases
No hate-based reproaches, just loving breezes

All would have food, shelter and joy
Care would be given to each girl and boy

Mother Nature would smile upon us all
No earthquakes, tsunamis or mudslide falls

Art would be revered and beauty bestowed
Never again would war sounds explode

Now tell me, dear child, do you share my dream
For you hold the power to build a new team

Our youth may set our tomorrow in motion
Precepts like these need not only be notions

Take Me Away From Here

I reach the emptiness of my room
The breath I take makes me dizzy
Collapsing on my bed I will fall asleep soon
As my eyes close my mind expands
I enter a new world that I love
Here I control everything below and above
In the real world I'm tossing and turning
But in my world my passion is burning
I wake to the real world which is what I fear
Please take me away from here...

Death Cloud

She said she hoped for peace for all mankind,
Made possible by man’s deep-down good will,
And sorrowed when I told her she was blind
To man’s inborn desire to maim and kill.

One universe united under one large law:
Her dream, and dream of countless men before
Who looked at life and made believe they saw
Beyond man’s greed and lust for gore.

Besides, world law meant world police and fear,
I told her gently, and she hated me
For hinting her utopia would not appear.
For checks and balances on law brings liberty--

But still at least we both agreed to dread
The poison mushroom looming overhead.

Is the land of the free
What it used to be
In it's current state
Do we wait and see

Do we continue to write words
For others to read
Or do we do something about it
And follow our lead

For things to be done
Things have to be said
Written down
And the aggrieved fed

People should stand
And declare their thoughts
With the promise of truth
For in the past we've been bought

The world has changed
From the forefathers time
Politics are different
In this world we find

Races are mixed
But we all are affected
It was not by magic
That they were elected

If they are voted in
We can vote them out
Gather together
And let your words shout

For they work for us
We don't work for them
With the write of a cross
Political condemn

The land of the free
Is all around
It is our flag
It is our ground

To be elected
Remember where you came from
Be what you were
And continue to be strong

For the votes were cast
You have to stay true
Do what you promised
For the Red, White and Blue

Premium Member Remember Those Days

(Swannet Sonnet)

Things are different and nothings seems right
But what can I do to change things around
I remember days when goodness was found
And can't stop thinking this all day and night

With my eyes this is not what I often see
I observe a world growing cruel and cold
This is a fact of what I am being told
No matter how much I hate hear it too

Sometimes this world is a crazy place to be
It's a rough place for you and me to live
But with faith and God we can survive
God is always there next to you and me

Things are different and nothing seems right
And can't stop thinking this all day and night

Imagine Reality

Imagine life without love, and you will see the possibilities of a world living chaos; societies
ruled by anarchy.
Imagine a people being killed for someone else’s belief, and you will see the innocent dying
from the misguided thoughts of the insanes theology.
Imagine a people judged because of their tan. Open your eyes and will see a culture deeper
and richer than a few more ounces of melanin in the skin. I bet you wouldn’t judge us if you
truly knew where life began.
Imagine a world filled with tolerance and acceptance that expanded from history. Would
color matter, would Martin and Malcolm be the men they were destined to be. Would you be
you, would I be me.
Imagine if my people, all my people across this world formed a company. Would you be
scared, what would be our monopoly? Probably everything you see. Maybe then you would
realize there is no end to our possibilities.
Imagine if these words meant more to you than they did to me, maybe then you would be
feeling me, and maybe you will see a future where your skin wasn’t white and mine wasn’t
black…. can you imagine that!
