Town cyclist flying,
by, ray of sunshine mood lift,
whose beam can “bridge” that distance,
on grey monday morn,
isn’t it breathtaking then,
such heart in “civic” passage
I play poker with my self-esteem,
sometimes I am holding a full house
other times I’m holding weaker cream.
Maybe I appear to have prow-ess,
it’s as simple as rolling those dice.
Blow luck softly and give ‘em a douse.
A poor hand and you will pay the price,
profits are less than what you deserve.
Learn just when to fold, play cold as ice.
I continue to bluff and keep my nerve,
landing calculated filled with verve.

Once there was a Rabbi Yonah,
Whose Shabbos Eruv made you wonder,
Does Yonah’s art belong in the Louvre?
Does our gratitude behoove yah?
This Detroit Tiger slams a Homah!
For Yonah is Balmore’s donor,
Mesiras Nefesh, never a groaner,
Keeping Jews in the groove,

Daughter was a cheerleader beauty,
blonde effervescence.
Petite strength,
with her smile of enthusiasm,
tossed up in adolescent flight..
Friday night varsity football games,
roaring bonfire for the Homecoming
in October's night of a crisp chill.
High school boyfriend faded into
nostalgia's mist of memories.
Twenty-four years have passed,
a Mom in her forties,
my grandchildren her joy.
Two decades of life's rewards,
some sorrow.
Alma mater moments-
those times are reborn,
verve. ~

reflected in wild hearts, eager and excited,
by moonlight
soul gently kissed,
by roaring fires of joy, lighted
heart’s mist

hopes invited,

History, forgotten element of man`s life
Adage of forgiving and forgetting
Messing and proceeding on the solemn assembly
Expunging and blotting life-long terribly
but carefully committed and covered-up tracks.
If at all the inanimate had ears and eyes
We would all be at ransom for our lives
If mistakes could be made up and rounded
up to significance of our lives
humanity would erode to miniature
weeping and shrilling at thoughtless and
careless indulgence
Swoon and sulking thoughts convergence
would lead to no hope
Thanks to nimble of days
For with each that passes, history is made
A shun to excavate stone age
Quite momentous to delve in space age.
Once lived a Montgomery La Verve
He met his end on a winding curve
He was driving too fast,
With his hand in his lap
The rumor was that he was a perv.

I think of life
your eyes I see
Brightly gleaming
gentle and free
You delighted us
with verve and charm
And took great pains
to do no harm...
Taken from earth

Beyond Eternity
to Life renewed
when on one's mettle
beware the backlash spring, from

R-ose to her verve and wit,
U-ntiring viewers watched;
B-eauty and brains they witnessed,
Y-es, life's lesson was catched.
A-mount of skill was big,
N-ot few or small in volume;
N-either slight nor puny, her knowledge was in bloom.
Z-eal to rise to the occasion,
U-sing her own cleverness;
L-arge size of intelligence
U-nfolded her huge success.
E-veryone was awed by her,
T-enth October friends did greet;
A-udience in the big event rose to her verve and wit.
Come now, you days so dreary,
with thoughts mundane and weary.
Both windy rain and bitter cold,
find comfort in blains and days of old.
To sit and sigh and wonder why
this if and when the eyes are dry
and the coals no longer lit are pale
in the wake of stormy frozen gale.
Until the frost is no longer on the glass
neither inside, outside in stormy blast.
And the Spring thaw comes in strident strain
to greet us with warmth and smiles again.
It lays a comfort blanket on us in haste as
we smile inside ourselves...what a waste!!!
While sitting we muse upon our fate....
Glad it rests not in the hands of a potentate

Curb The Herb With Verve
Instead of controlling and then try and curb
California has named Marijuana as State Herb;
When there went;
Became impotent;
Smoking and use of are each correct verb.
