Not The Ring She Was Expecting

Jimmy wanted shut of his girlfriend Joan
Because all she did every day was moan
She was longing for some bling
A bright gold engagement ring
But he ditched her with a' ring' to her phone.

My goodness, poor girl. Maybe Jimmy had too many bills to pay! I have to teach myself how to write a limerick, they are always fun to read and make me smile, especially this one ! :)

Thank you very much Marikate, seems to be the modern way now, what happened to face to face contact. Tom

Haha! Wow! What a clever twist, Tom! Your rapier wit slashes and shines in your limerick. Indeed, not the "ring" she was "longing" for, hehe. Belated congrats for your wonderful win with this gem. I hope all is going well, Tom Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Hi Tom, a ring to her phone that things had got sour, no ring of expectation for Joan, or bright engagement ring, in fact no bling. Congratulations on your win. We had a late summer, the temperature in our driveway yesterday was 39 degrees Congrats on your win my friend, enjoy Turkey and the Med. Sea. Blessings Jennifer.
