Haha! Wow! What a clever twist, Tom! Your rapier wit slashes and shines in your limerick. Indeed, not the "ring" she was "longing" for, hehe. Belated congrats for your wonderful win with this gem. I hope all is going well, Tom Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Hi Tom, a ring to her phone that things had got sour, no ring of expectation for Joan, or bright engagement ring, in fact no bling. Congratulations on your win. We had a late summer, the temperature in our driveway yesterday was 39 degrees Congrats on your win my friend, enjoy Turkey and the Med. Sea. Blessings Jennifer.

Hello Tom, Joan must have been upset not to get an engagement ring. She probably thought she was getting an engagement ring. Enjoy your day my friend. /Darlene/

Thank you very much Nancy, I often come across his name on comments, the list seems to get bigger every year, Rico, winged warrior, Caroline, Connie and Milton, sometimes poets just disappear off the radar and you wonder if are they OK. Glad you enjoyed it. Tom
