Hardly Gregarious

You want to know the downside of Aquarius?
Just ask the folks who weren’t in Noah’s Ark,
or check out Jethro Tull and Linkin Park.
The paths we tread are manifold and various,
as Lewis learned by teaming up with Clark –
and now the Eightfold Way reveals the quark.
Is ‘humorous’ the equal of ‘hilarious’?
Is ‘mini-skirt’ the same as ‘cutty sark’?
About as similar as ‘bite’ and ‘bark’.
We take from this that language is precarious,
quite unreliable (if not nefarious):
don’t trust a man who says he’s made his mark.
Instead of “it is written”, “it is dark”:
for I have felt the sinews of the shark.

"Let’s Bungle In the Jungle” Jethro Tull
Don’t want to tangle
with slithery snakes.

"The Lion Sleeps Tonight” The Tokens
I won’t be walking in their
territory after dark.

"Puff The Magic Dragon”Peter Paul and Mary
This song not about drugs.

Sung by the Irish Rovers
THIS IS NOT A TRUE IRISH SONG!!

Can’t see Mick riding a horse.
His hips would sway too much.

Can’t see a bat coming out of hell
But stop pickin’ on Eddie!!!!

Not sure a crocodile can dance
Wouldn’t want to find out.

Now this song is about drugs
Go Gracie

"Black Cow" Steely Dan

Gotta watch calories now

Roland's Tower Part Ii

The gunslinger entered the tiny town of Tull
A town that was cast under his enemy's spell.
First smiles, then lies, last gunfire came,
Then Tull lay dead, in the gunslinger's name.
Through the huge desert, thirsty and sore
Still he kept walking, till he could walk no more.
He came to a way station, water was there.
He drank his fill, with water to spare.
A boy name Jake was waiting for him
Together they chased after Walter O'Dimm.
A handcart, slow mutants, a mountain to climb,
Roland liked Jake in just a short time.
But Ka is a wind, or a very strong breeze;
As Jake said, "There are other worlds than these."
To his death he fell, in the valley far below.
Roland watched him fall and he let the boy go.
Across the mountain, he caught the evil man--
They smoked, they palavered, as enemies can.
The Dark Man showed him things that would be,
The Sailor, The Prisoner, and Lady of Shadows were three.
They talked till the universe was born and reborn
The gunslinger slept for centuries till morn.

While Daydreaming About Timepiece Inventors Two Oh Clock

A quick and easy (makeshift, albeit very temporary)
Cheap Trick would suffice in the interim
(which might entail many generations)
to rock a Super Tramp off The Farm.
Lo and behold a panacea arrived

in form of Jethro Tull. Beastie Boys
(more or less marauding hooligan gangs
comprised of Arctic Monkeys)
possessed an uncanny verve zeroing
in on the challenge to enable Crowd

source sing. They designed, hand
crafted, and linkedin all known know
ledge about mathematics and physics. One
contrivance edged out other equally
farcical gizmo. Via some lack of clarification
Badfinger referred both to the longer
of two needles pointers plus included

the entire mechanism. Individuals
would no longer find themselves
in Dire Straits getting someplace
with markedly greater accuracy.

Sooner or later a confluence of
beginners dumb luck witnessed
a Motley Crue, whereat brainstorm
(of course in tandem with consciousness
expanding material) yielded a great

burst of inventiveness within The
Human League, though after end
less modifications credit for
the handy dandy blues clues
pocket watch allotted
to a plethora of anonymous minds.

Premium Member My Very First Night

With Jethro Tull playing in my ear
On a night whose memory I still hold dear
In my college dorm my Freshman year
Of virginity status I stepped clear

The intent was to study history
Biology, to me, still a mystery
I could sense her scooting close to me
When we got to D-Day there was victory

Our relationship didn’t last too long
My performance that night wasn’t real strong
But the memory still brings a big smile on
Of my very first night in a time long gone

Legacy

All I want to do is leave behind a legacy
for all my family and friends to see
so they can see the real side of me
life is like a golf ball hit from a tee
at times life has obstacles
just like a tree
or you end up in the rough
at times life gets tough
but some times you make it in the hole
and you succeed at your goal
life has taken it's tull
but long lives my soul

Sittin On a Parkbench Waitin For Jethro Tull Or Jay-Z

I love a good rhythimic beat
I can imitate a drum with the pounding of my feet
Whether it's rock & roll or rap
A stadium amp or a backwards cap
Any type of music makes me get out of my seat

Free Thinking

A day off.
Totally free
Late Summer clear skies
mind seeking someone to spend it with
Or not
Take a ride down cape
Favorite coffee in sip cap cup
Janis or Marshal Tucker?
Tull or Who?
Backroad dawdling
Scenic route to Nowhere
Maybe even write another song
Or ride the Vineyard ferry
Back and forth
Or mow the greens
and finally play some golf
Salt in the air
Wind in my hair
What do I care
About most?
I think I'll go buy
A crown roast
