A dump truck and a Mercedes

If there’s a dump truck and a car,
Car’s sure at greater risk by far.
A soldier thick headed
Who cannot think ahead,
To whom boundaries and borders bar,
Thinks, let Pak be the truck,
Let India’s car get struck,
So thought a general-five-star
To whom stars were gifted
For getting defeated--
How low things in that country are.

Note: Pakistan’s Field Martial unwittingly called India a shining Mercedes and Pakistan a dump truck. He was of course heavily trolled in his country and all over the world. How he gave India, a rival, such a compliment? This limerick guesses on his possible thick-headed reasoning.

Have you ever been
haunted (no you have not)
by a ghost from the future not even born yet
in your paper thin realm
trolled from a time post human extinction
it could only happen to you so-called
dead in your grave still tossing and turning
& scratching like a deviant
moldering and unquiet one hundred years now
and the whispers yes whispers from
the parallell (this is how we spell it now)
corridoor (see previous) keeping you
a-threshold in your very well deserved
sempiternal shelf of discomfort

Out here bebee the fourth dimension
swings in ways you cannot conceive so
don't test your pretty lil head
much of which is mush and thistle
but! you may be due compensation
for the futurama funnel imposition
a leakage episode beyond apology
under section bla bla
please submit your claim within 30 days
via the usual medium and
we shall endeavour to ensure
requiem aeternam thus ceasing
your infernal insomnia
yours the 3am committee

A Lake Level View

Standing in a small boat
on one of the Great Lakes
the early morning sunrise having
turned into a cloudless new day.

Shoreline behind me, mostly trees,
some houses, a large park
that was once a factory
and water as far as I can see.

It was a matter of perspective
this view I enjoyed
the birds and ducks could see further
while planes overhead could see for miles.

and I had my lake level view

Fish came to the surface
a piece of drift wood floated nearby
a plastics bottle (ugh!) moved with the current
another boat trolled near with two men aboard.

and I had my lake level view

A seagull landed near us
hoping for a fishy handout?
While my uncle and I talked of nothing specific,
worms, seaweed and another lost fish.

and I had my lake level view

Life and It's Kick

Nobody cared for you
They're just playing around you

Out of nowhere
How am I getting triggered from everywhere

Like trapped in the cage
Life full of a tragic comedy stage

Life's trolled
To make me a fall in a pit thousand fold

No one can criticize you
Like you yourself truly do

Sadden with life's slow slideshows
At a fast pace now please make all hurdles throw

At once will I get all drained
So life then I & you can again be a friend

Maybe someday I'll break free
From this life that's drowning me

Until then, I'll keep holding on
To the hope that someday, the pain will be gone.

Premium MemberMadagascar Where Did You Go

Madagascar where did you go
For weeks you came to my picnic
My sanctuary
Unceremoniously and unwanted
And mostly uninvited
Like the proverbial red ants
Like a lover I once knew
Everyday ... there you were
A lemur
A chameleon
Perched on my blanket of poetry
Staring with those curious eyes
Yearning for validation
And perhaps a future visit
I must admit you're a nuisance
A pop-up, a laugh, a nightmare
For weeks on end I saw your faces
Burning in my memory
Trolled and uncontrolled
Now that you're gone
I look out the window
I imagine lions, giraffes, and rhino's
Running wildly towards my picnic

Note-for weeks on end, I would come to this site and be inundated with ads. The Madagascar ad takes the cake. Lately it's gotten worse.

Imagine my surprise,
When David killed the bear!
I couldn't believe my eyes,
When the lion lay there!

Little did I know then,
God trained him for a fight.
A fight he could not win,
Fighting the Giant's fight.

Sent to the battle line,
His brothers' to report.
He heard the troll's malign,
And purposed to retort.

He'll fight God's way today,
His honor to uphold,
Running into the fray,
Killing the one who trolled.

Imagine my surprise,
The eighth and youngest son!
God shepherded his rise,
The Giant is undone!

Did not see this coming,
All of us scoffed at him.
Our lack of faith numbing,
Our view of God was dim.

My son sought God's glory,
Never fought for his own.
A shepherd boy's story,
Leading to Israel's throne.

The Lord is my Shepherd,
He trains me for a fight,
My heart for Him is spurred,
When faith transforms my sight.

Relapse

I'm not sure what she's using
though I have an idea
her body she's abusing
and her mind has anaemia
as the excuses drip off her tongue
as to why she can't call
not the first to be sung
not the last bar room brawl
helpless I wait
til she tells me these truths
I'm a fish after bait
being trolled to the truth
not to sound dramatic
but what a disaster
her brain is rheumatic
her vice is her master
I hear her cry from a distance
though stifled and cold
hope I break through the resistance
a story of old
temptation is fond
of those who are weary
I'll swim through this pond
and escape the hook of the leery

The Final Act

Is consciousness different than having a soul,
reflection unhallowed—eternity trolled

Does the magic within us begin and then end,
finite conscription—one lifetime to spend

And if unrelated, then what lies between
what we feel and we ponder—perchance then to dream

Till that final unveiling where death at last shows
the truth of the matter—that nobody knows

Premium MemberDate Night In a Boat

The small Nettle Lake where we first hung out
Holds memories of our youth -
Parties and swimming and skiing and floating.
Marriage and kids and thirty years later
We forked out some cash
And bought a bass tracker.
Filled with excitement and joy
For the feeling of sweet release
Off we went in our new Dodge Ram truck.
To the past in the present
On our sweet Nettle Lake
When the motor died and we got stuck.
We fished our hearts out anyway
And trolled around the nooks
We putted around for hours.
We drank a few beers and kissed under the moon
Our date night in a boat
Over with too soon.

Premium MemberChicken of the Sea

There once was a ship,
full of chickens at sea.
They plundered and pillaged,
quite ferociously.

They sat on their perch,
with their ivory white sails.
They were led by a wolf,
with a chicken suit for a veil.

As their numbers declined,
they soon began to see.
He wasn't like the rest,
they could see his big sharp teeth.

One by one they jumped ship,
then the wolf was alone.
With his chickens all gone,
he trolled on back home.

Identity Theft

You took my identity
and so as my reputation
For it's easy to say
you're me
Took all your infatuation.

You got everything you want
All that because of me
On your hand is an access
Taking my life and say
you're me

You just stole my name
as identical as my shadow
But beneath of your plan destroys
I'm the one being swallowed

You're the kind of a crime
manipulative yet controlled
It's like a fall on a devil's trap
Now being trolled.

Casting Shame

By darkness I trolled
  in my oft-shedding skin

Hidden alleys I roamed
  for new victims at whim

But at last I must face
  the deception I’ve wrought

And repay every memory
  that festers and rots

As my twisted rebellion
  turns its anger within

No forgive or forgetting
  or my blaming the gin

In the few moments left
  as I slither and weave

Still bearing false witness
  against those I’ve deceived

My venom gets swallowed
  death final and small

With the light I once blocked
  —casting shame on it all
