Her Tongue

Serpentine artisan in Eden
Crafting a second creation
A molten piece of idol
By the dexterity
Of word of mouth.

Tongue lures ear
And then à tongue kiss
To the ear, both soulmates
Titillate the neurons of the body
Stir the impulse of all senses
All segued to Judas kiss.

Telepathist tool
Transmuting visions from pluto
To reality on earth.
Forked-tongue town crier
With cymbal and gong
Improvising a dissonance
Of glossolalic tales
To the age of gullible gullivers!

Ear, O hear!
In that gaping cavity
There lies lie lair
The sword of Damocles
Gliding and Churning honey gobs
From its cavity to founts of lies
In every public square.

Like the big lie of Hitler and Goebbels
To the holocaust.
Let not all thy senses,
Emotion, reason, and conscience
Trust her tongue!

In the early morning fuzz, a smoky inhale of life
the lamppost is lit and the trees are just waking up
Five Forty Two Am: the eyes of the sky are grayly
I hold my stave high as I begin my very first poem

Bushes and creeks containing tiny quakes of light
piercing through a silent heaven, I feel alright
Sleeping in the room next door he is unaware
of the awakened altered state that claims me

Down the path of memories I go alone and safe
standing behind a closed window, vouchsafe !
Smoke blankets the city on this Friday morning
I can't touch the fire, I am only its town crier

as I write about the residue of the wildfires,
I can see the peeling back of its slight
                                 and know instinctively,
                                          It is daylight....

Big Ben chimes Bazball Zen

Big Ben chimes again
With Bazball zen
One of those men
From special stock
Shepherd of the flock
Hewn from strewn Volcanic rock

From New Zealand's Southern Isle
But only there for a wee while
Mighty flame haired flair laird

Without doubt more about Blighty's North East
They forged this bellicose beast
Ripsnorting sporting cavorting squire
Glutton & gourmand gorged feast

Test town crier
Puffed buffed chest
Inspire..burning
Proper copper topper
Churning fire..

Endless zest..desire
No dull lull
No bore draw
Simple...aspire
To score more!

It's not arcane
Stokes campaign & reign
Train like you're insane
Always entertain!

Remember us flounder
In the gutter
Trounced...17 on the bounce
Could we have found
Pound for pounder
Better all rounder

Nutter...go getter
Sounder founder
Run rate record setter
Of the evolution
And revolution
Of Test cricket

Toe to toe
Blow by blow
Heave ho
Give us a ticket

In the Baz ball or
Ben buzz grotto

Gung Ho motto

You will never know
Till you give it a go!

New Yam

New Yam

Death brings life
New, tender and green
Earth brown, immaculate white

The priest heralds her coming
The town crier drums it
The farmer dances to the market
It's time to celebrate

Let loose the masquerades
Celestial visitors from yonder
Let the melody of the odó
Echo the birth of the new yam
Like the birth of a newborn
The drums are rolled out

The market is flooded
With news of its coming
The homestead salivates
The streets jubilate

Vegetables will bleed today
The fattened cock will crow no more
The slumber of the pestle is over
For what is in the yam that the knife doesn't know

The noise of pounding
Will keep the neighbours awake
Iyán funfun báláwú is on the menu today

The Town Crier
Miracle Man

A life long friend passed this past week,
life didn’t offer much making his life bleak.
Ignored by some, many others were empathetic,
unable to do much his problems were genetic.

He never had a job and he was known by all,
not many days passed without this man’s call.
But he was known as our small town crier,
and he knew Jesus, as his daily supplier.

He was always at church each time we met,
many counted his friendship to be an asset.
He loved his phone and if it happened he knew,
He lived a solitary life and now it’s through.

Town Criers No More Needed

Young man, just try a glass of sangria,
Now, we all can see you are angrier.
Audience is not a ‘a must’ for Town Criers;
Their job can now be discharged by flyers...

One cries too long and one lips get drier,
More pacing about the legs look sorrier.
In some circles you become a pariah,
For being of all things Hollow Wood Carrier.

Yes, you keep that in mind, Prepared Crier:
A town crier’s voice might go higher
But to his critics “A Hopeless Liar”
Or in short, he is the no more needed,
His colleagues in other towns fast weeded.

Quote: The ability to harness fire lives in all humans.
Explore it, and you will understand its importance
Nourish its flame and it will always keep you alive.

The fire that burns within me is my soul's town crier
like the stars and the moon hungering for night's pyre
I too hunger for the flames of love's passionate desire

I am a blaze of light sparking like a matchstick to a fire
when I'm at the steeple I cannot climb any higher
I become an eternal flame, a majestic vast empire.

Premium Member No More Do Birds Chirp

No more do birds chirp
  No longer does grass grow
Leaves turn bright colors
  Then cover Earth's floor

Rains well up in puddles of mud and mire
A dog's plaintive bark, a lone town crier
Windows close; shutters tightly shut
Street surfaces soon will sprout ruts

November is here, its air so bracing, so clear
Cushions the shock ~ Winter is near

I stand on top of a box and cry out
In a world of plastic faces, I find
No one will listen, so I have to shout
And speak to those souls who have lost their mind
They hold anger like trees in a forest
Gave their hearts to a leader of fool's gold
They've become no more than a staged chorus
While given the signs, they march with and hold
They have sold their souls to an illusion
A mirage that glimmers on the landscape
They're told that reason is an intrusion
While the truth is chained and forcibly raped
On the steps where war and blood gave consent
Our flag was torn from the lies they invent

Blocking calls

I have personal thoughts I oft share each day,
From these, deep discussions, often come into play.
These give off good vibes, causing me to feel strong,
And differing opinions makes neither one wrong.

But there’s a man on our town I call the town crier,
He proliferates gossip when calling to inquire.
He feels its imperative that he spread all news,
Which necessitates always doing a mental peruse.

Hell-bound in Spellbound Fire

If my desire;
Were to be on fire;
Then my desire;
To be hell bound;
Now if I'm the town crier;
Hope-in to be in dire;
Straight to hell bound encased;
In the sins from my beginnings until the final death;
Final destination not...
To be Hell bound on fire spending eternity in Hades

If the eyes can find sleep
when the left hand in battle
hacks to bits, a right at peace

Indulges our parched earth
that can never drink her fill
of human blood libations

And the town crier never cries
at his gong's discordant tunes
with the plight of the people

Then, power is only an ear plug
wealth, a virtual reality camera
and the people, jesters at court.
