Mommy, I have something I want to say
About the things you give to me everyday
You shower and give me all your love
So, I give thanks for you to God above
You feed me and clothe me with such great care
And if I need something else, you’re always there
You cover me with love, whenever I’m sad
And when it doesn’t help, you hand me to Dad
You teach me the things I need to know
Helping me to learn what I need as I grow
I’m sorry Mommy when I’m being bad
And I’m sorry Mommy if it makes you sad
And if I’m sick, and up all night with fever
You stay with me and don’t sleep either
You say and do things to make me glad
You make me happy and so does Dad
Thank you, Mommy, for the great big hug
Your arms around me is what I love
Thank you, Mommy, in every way
Thank you, Mommy, on this Mother’s Day!
Thank you dad
For your wisdom
And all the things we learned from you
Thank you for your knowledge
And so much more too
We thank you for showing
us the way
We saw faith and you showed us nothing is impossible
You always said you carnt please everyone
So please yourself
Its true some are not happy when they dont get their own way
And am thankful i have learned to put myself first today
God is always first but we still have to think of ourselves
Not being selfish but sometimes we can only do
what we are able to do.
If they dont like it
They will have to lump it haha
People can not save us
So walking in faith is the place thats
Always best.
Thank you dad
For planting seeds of faith from a young age
R.I.P.
Loved forever
Dad you were beside us,
You guided us in every manner and ways
I write this, from my heart
Since you thought us from your heart
You acted like a compass,
That activated the magnet's of curiosity
You moulded us to be perfect
You tool your hand, Opened our minds and touched our heart
You are an angel, who use your wands
To make our life easier,
You are a candle in our life's
Since you have enlightened us
With the knowledge
You forgave us, corrected our mistake,
Just like a Mather with love
You are the true hero in our lives
I thank you for your love, care, guidance, blessings
And all that you have done to us,
You erased our worries away
Sharpen us with knowledge,
Correct all our mistakes
So that we are perfect.
Thank you for guiding us in every way,
And in our heart, you will always stay.
Always subject to my teenager whims and complaints
Subject to my harsh words so casually thrown,
At blame for things for things you truly couldn't help
I say I can't express my emotions to you
But it is only half true,
the blame not actually on you
My perception of myself as a protective wall,
you merely a net to trust if I crumble
In fact, you're the wall
Some cracks you were unable to fix in time
Yet you stuff it with shards of glass,
trying your best to protect me,
at least from the heat accompanying the light that squishes its way through
I have not yet said a simple thank you
I know not why gratefulness arrives with a companion in the form of shame
Yet in the same coach of these two passengers,
my heart welled in gratitude when you declared your dream
The dream, so simply spoken, that I succeed in whatever I desire
And that you never force your desires onto mine
Just that you serve as a force so I may stand tall
I wished I hugged you then, said a sweet thank you and a love you
Instead of doing that in the kitchen
I write this in my room
Just a simple note
"Thank you dad."
To Our Father
Thank you for being our hero, and giving us all pride!
Thank you for always having our backs, and making sure we thrive,
Thank you for the lessons, and teaching us everyday,
Thank you for making the word ‘father’ actually mean something to me!
Thank you for never giving up, and always putting us first,
Thank you for the endless memories and showering us with love,
Thank you for the DIY, we always need you for,
Thank you for the simple things, like showing us we’re worth more!
Thank you for being our father,
Thank you for being our friend,
Thank you for being our supporter,
Thank you for being the best!
Thank you for being everything,
to all of us and more,
Thank you for being the first man we loved,
And the one we now love more.
Thank you to our father,
Thank you to them all,
Thank you for the honour,
Thank you for it all.
If it weren't for you, where would I be?
............Thank God for our family tree!
“Thank you” is always good to say
first to God Who wakes us up each day
praising Him with joy as we do pray
then happily play under sun’s ray…
“Thank you” makes our hearts very glad
when we so tell such to Mom and Dad
loving us with great caring they add
while we are feeling sick, bad or sad…
“Thank you*” keeps our family bright
as dear brothers and sisters do right
in sharing and giving with delight
living together under the light.
*Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Strong arms, to lift our children.
Strong arms, to hug me tight.
Strong feet, stable mind.
Ginormous patience,
kind words.
Hours late working for us.
How tough must be a father,
brave and taking good care of us,
the protector the provider,
in our hearts you are our hero.
Thank you times the stars of the universe.
Oh how I think of the meals
you have missed,
so your kids could sit proud
at the table.
The holes in your clothes
and sweat on your brow, so
we could stand tall
in our name.
I've heard all the stories
of you back in your day,
and the doubt that
circled your heart.
When it came time to settle
and raise up your kids,
you're ten times the
man you once knew.
To show us the value
in everyday life
is a lesson that
gold could not buy.
You will leave me with
more than a billionaire's son
as we, too, are rich
in our own way.
Thank you for our special gift
My boy has had a baby dad, a father just like you
He’s stepped into that special role with pride and honour too
We broke the news to you last year as you lay in your bed
Although your mind had let you down “beautiful” you said
I hoped that you’d still be around to welcome their new son
But sadly that was not to be, your time on earth was done
I’m sure you helped the angels choose their very special gift
And you’ll be helping them to keep him safe through every shift
You’ve sent a little part of you back down for us to love
And you will be watching over him from your new home up above
They’ll both be perfect parents, they’ll protect and they’ll provide
They’ll shower him with so much love, they’re both so qualified
You’ve taught us lots of lessons that will help us guide him right
And we are all very grateful for our wonderful delight
The love for him so special, we all could burst with pride
He’s our little miracle, our feelings we can’t hide
I know that he can do the job, already you can tell
My boy has taken on the role that you dad, did so well

Thank you Dad:
My father in the eyes of God, helped me for nine years
I remember my bedroom, as young as being in the crib
I remember the toys, the spinning top, and the ball with stars on it
I had a place to visit where I could ride my red tricycle
I was free to be me, as I played with joy!
He taught me how to write the letters of the alphabet
He was a well-known story teller himself
He gave me small special gifts, I held close to me
He even gave me a peacock feather that fell from his peacock
My best friend lived nearby, we ran the fields together, so fun!
His brother was a poet too and his other relative painted like I do
I forgive the abandonment after a crisis happened,
Because, he didn’t stand a chance against the Sands family
Who took me away with all their control, and made me live a lie
But, I will always remember what he told his sister:
That I would be mighty in whatever I do!
He had that confidence in me that no-one else did!
- I have held onto that my entire life -
I wouldn’t trade the first 9 years of time with him for anything!
- Thank you Dad -

You came into my life and were kind
You didn't have too
You tried my first meal when you didn't know me well,
You didn't have too
You spoke for hours about my life giving little time to speak about yours,
You didn't have too
You drove me to college with hours of stories about boys,
You didn't have too
You selflessly gave to everyone I brought home, you time, kind words, a meal
You didn't have too
You let me honor my dad and had him walk me down the aisle, it was your honor too, but
You didn't have too
You held Dylan and Daniel as grnadsons
You didn't have too
You taught me how to forgive and say I am sorry,
You didn't have too
You drove around day and night,
You didn't have too
You made me feel like a Princess but the photo that you took
You didn't have too
Because you chose to, even though you didn't have too
I get to be a daughter and you get to be my dad
Thank you for all the didn't have too's you chose to do
I remember all and am grateful for you
You are more than a sperm donor;
You're co-creator with God first and mother;
You know who you are;
And you know whose you are;
protector
male nurturer
provider
earthly daddy
I'm so gladly
You're a follower of Christ;
And that you try to show me the light;
Some call you mister;
Some call you Joe
My siblings and I
love you pa,her daddy, pappy, dad
I'm so glad;
Thank-you earthen father;
You're a follower of Christ;
And that you try to show me the light;
You know who you are;
And you know whose you are;
HAPPY
FATHER
DAY
written words by James Edward Lee Sr.
Father, I admire your faith-anchored fortitude
Asserting your love-braced tenacity as the home’s pillar
Training me to face life’s challenges
Hoisting me up to where I am today…
Ever grateful am I to God for having you as my Dad*
Rejoicing for your legacy in my life!

Everyday I miss you guys more and more
I always recall all things we did before
I left you and became a man
I said I wanted to go far and get out of Dallas
I didn't want to cause any discord or malice
I just wanted to grow and become that man
I've taken steps in adulthood
leaps in responsibility
I use your lessons that could
defeat all hostility
You've helped me get where i am
Mom and Dad I know it was a scary last day
you didn't want to cry you had to go away
and leave me alone in a world full of mystery
Mom and Dad You know that I'm prepared for this
There will always be bumps but I can't miss
this chance to change my history
I've taken steps in adulthood
leaps in responsibility
I use your lesson that could
defeat all hostility
You've helped me get where I am
And I try to be a mirror of you guys
but I still have to be myself not a disguise
And I try to be the perfect son
but there was only one who was that
just know that I'm always trying
I've taken steps in adulthood
leaps in responsibility
I use your lesson that could
defeat all hostility
You've helped me get where i am today
