Untitled - Jackson Pollock 1912-1956

They say a picture may paint a thousand words
but I can't read what he wrote
household paint poured onto a horizontal surface
ain't what I call works of note
splashed with no pre-planned end-result
for art's sake to me does not art make
known for his 'drip technique'
yes he was a drip and no mistake
yet a few of his spills sold for millions
long after his prime
as a fool and his money are soon parted
and you can fool some all of the time
but if we pry the boards from his studio floor
and hang them on the wall
why it would be far more relevant
tho' still takes no skill at all
his splotches are not pictures of poppies
nor pansies petunias or hollyhocks
in fact they're really nothing more
than just a load of Pollocks

I can see:
The pretty blue sky,
with bright sun shinning.
Fall garden sleeping,
flowers are all dead.
Big bees a buzzing.

I can feel:
Cool breeze touching,
my warm dry skin.
Warm lovely sun,
covers me up.

I can hear:
The birds sing,
barking dogs.
Kids on bikes.

I can smell:
Coffee,
donuts.

I can taste:
Cream.

Premium Member The Big Lie Technique is Back

The ‘Big Lie Technique’ is back
designed to throw gullible masses off track

Hamasniks scream: “End the Israeli occupation”
though 2005 was the year of Israel’s Gaza abdication

Gazans shout, “Israelis are starving us alive”
ignoring the 500,000 tons of food Israel’s supplied

'Experts' tout, “Israel's murdered 9,500 Arab women in the war”
though fewer than 5,000 have died if you’re keeping score

Never a word about what caused Israel to fight
     about Hamas' hostage-taking, baby-burning
       about simple wrong from right

And their chests puffed up with antisemitic pride
     Protestors world-over now cry
       “Death to the Jews”
         "Gaza genocide"

From the grave, Hitler and Stalin grin and salute
their ‘Big Lie Technique’ once dormant, newly revived

There dwells a mime

Within me

He speaks

But not a word

Expressing only compliments

The secrets

That he's heard.

A Rare Technique

There once was a young lady from Spain
Who had made love again and again
To a bald little creep
Whose company she'd keep
For his technique in bed was insane

It's coming back, my rhyming technique
Almost broke down, kissed myself on the cheek
Twisted my neck
Off to emerg to check
Docs said, “don't do that, give your arm a peck”

Dawn hurls new light
Sparkling and bright

Dark night makes way
For a sure day

Morn spreads fine tints
As moments mint

Night dreams fling me
Day dreams to see

Birdsong now greet
With mantra sweet

My blur mind feels
A touch that heals

Awake to dawn
Aware of morn

Slow as a snail
Wobbly legs avail

I salute day
Sense words to say

Now come what may
Thank God for play

For all that jazz
And this life fest

Clean Technique

Once there was a man called Clean"the modern"
His philosophy “Catch the new words, you are modern”
Dressing sense, eating etiquette - nonsense
Healthy thoughts, personal hygiene- nonsense
Bloody this modus operandi is very catchy. Modern!
