Pie-Faced

I've oft been offered but not tempted by
large helpings of pie in the sky
from too many crooks
who indeed the broth did spoil
and so as not to be sullied
by such greasy oil
I stay out of their kitchen
not because I can't stand the heat
but what's on their menu
ain't my cup of meat
apple or cherry by the slice

Tasty Morsels

Tasty morsels may swim by 
I’ll just duck down and check it out 
Instead, a big fish I do spy 
Tasty morsels.

Although this looks like a brown trout 
Or maybe it is a walleye 
They’re far to big I have no doubt.

I’ll take a breath and then retry 
If nothing’s there, I’ll go without 
I

Tasty Trouble

I munched on some brownies with cheer

But soon things became unclear

I fell to the ground

And laughter reduced me to tears

Chocolate And Vanilla Melt And Merge In To One

A hot sweltering sticky humid evening
Heat clings and hangs in the stagnant air
Almost too hot and stifling to bear
Floods of silver wet ovaline beads
Perspire and exude from every opened pore
Trickle and slide in small ravines
Skin soaked and shines and glistens
Under subdued ambient lamp light
Darker varied shades and tones

Tea and Other Such Things

Have you ever had a Christmas Tea?
I used to say, "It's not for me"
'Til recently, I tried it, see
Turns out it's the best I've had

See, I never liked hot drinks at all
I much prefer cold, in the fall
I order iced, in sizes tall
But this one isn't bad

It smells like citrus in the house

The Best Soup

Start with potatoes, skinned and scoured
Add onion and cream that has soured
Season with pepper, stirring well
Sprinkle in some salt and just smell!

Potatoes should cook until done
This is tastiness that’s homespun!
Fill a bowl with soup, sit a spell

A Buck Dreams of Tasty Spring Treats

Oh, for the taste of a sweet, juicy berry,
some sweet rose petals would make me happy;
I'm so tired of woody browse and acorns,
my throat gets dry and my teeth are worn.
For an aging buck needs good sustenance;
I hate the browse cracking, such dissonance!

her taste makes me happy all day long

A goal may be damn tough
If efforts are wisely increased

The Refrigerator

The refrigerator helps us 
To store food fresh 
And keep them longer 
We  don't have to go to market everyday
But finally we find that 
We store a lot of extra food 
We forget to use food in time
After long time of storage
The food may change its  best quality
And we are eating less tasty

The Tasty Bits

Initially, I was convinced
that she barked madly at the moon,
enraged to find that tasty bit
of cheese was out of reach again,
diurnal pantomime played out,
quixotic tiltings of the mind,
quotidian, unfiltered thoughts
best left to unrecorded dreams.

But unbeknownst to me, there lay
hidden within those stranger lines,
contagion or a viral code,
a stowaway that slipped through the
defenses of my mind

Tasty Democracy

Tasty democratic roots
are made of trusted vines

Healthy democracy
does not chronically debate
to derail indigenous theocracy
nor diminish pursuit of individual liberty
to co-invest in political
and religious
and sexual powers
of cooperatively focused light
bright polyphonic harmony

But does compassionately refine
individual human freedoms
to do whatever successful private investors
and elite asset owners 
can easily afford to self-define
as destiny anthro-divine

To monoculturally become
whomever the almighty 
supremely
