The Lord is my physician.
I won’t be sickly.
He helps me to get my rest and much-needed sleep.
He gives me exercises to do;
He makes me stronger.
He instructs me on the best supplements
for my health’s sake.
Even though my food and environment are filled with toxins,
I will feel safe
because I trust in You.
Your wisdom and Your remedies soothe me.
I encounter infections and viruses in many places that I go;
You protect me from Pandemics.
I feel so grateful.
Surely strength and fitness will enhance my well-being
through the days of my life,
and I will be healed by my Physician
evermore.

So much effort
goes into feeling well...Man,
I’m exhausted! There’s nausea
from supplements, the squeak
and throb, Just One More Rep!~ exercising…
Man, I’m exhausted!
As much effort
going into relaxation – rush to get
things done (always a backup of
things); shuffle schedules, get sitters
for the animals – Man, I’m exhausted!
Even love, the chores, the cards,
the gifts, the emotional lifts...honey-does
seeming to have endless reserves,
never running short on pantries of
exhaustion.
Someday, probably, I’ll
wake-up, unpleasantly surprised
and find myself either stoking furnaces,
fluffing angel wings while polishing
the backside of clouds – Man, give me
a break!
Ouch!~ finally something I asked for….

From all walks of life,
near and far,
you lie on a gurney,
your own sustenance flowing out of you,
givers of the red.
Quiet heroes take the iron supplements,
so you can give again and again.
for the injured, the soldiers,
the mothers giving birth,
those with cancer,
who depend on your
generosity.
You repeat the feat
because you're noble,
whole blood, platelets.
An honoring refrain-
givers of the red,
saluting you-
givers of the red. ~

You are challenging to keep up with
Mr. Stone,
Yep??
Was it difficult to lose weight
Since your rolling stone success?
Yep?
Since you came rock bottom in the skimming
Are you feeling bolder in the skipping?
Yep
Does winning mean leaving no stone unturned?
Yep?
Is the public in awe of your success?
Yep
Are you down to earth?
Do you use mineral supplements?
Yep, yep,
Are you petrified?
Are you still friends with paper?
Scissors?
May I call you Skip?
You rock!
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.

How does an old man as old as me
Keep up with the changes in society
Men can be women, old men can be girls
Pronouns can be mx or they, or hers
Abortion is healthcare through faces proud
Is said by the bearer who echoes the crowd
The word “marriage” has changed from the ancients
Is nothing pure? Is nothing sacred?
Positive and negative no longer are compliments
Now we’re the same cos no need for supplements
Sport now reflects the querying of boundaries
Like robots obeying we are and non-binaried
All whites are oppressive without a choice
Everyone else sings in harmonic voice.
The floodgates opened in 2014
Homosexual marriage the new morphine
All institutions now deceitfully captured
So called progressives buoyantly enraptured
The decline of the west has left me behind
But eternal truth is on my side.

Let’s talk about different ways people walk -
They walk with God
They walk in, they walk out
They walk up, they walk down
They walk too fast, they walk too slow
They walk around
They walk away
They walk on by
They walk gracefully
They walk the runway
They walk by faith
They walk in deliverance…
Let’s talk about how it sounds when people complain about walking -
I don’t feel like walking
Why we gotta walk?
That’s too far to walk
You always wanna walk
I’m tired of walking
Don’t be walking in front of me
You better watch where you walking
You be walking too fast
Why we gotta walk everywhere?
It’s too hot to be walking
It’s too late to be walking
Don’t walk that way, that’s the long way…
Please stop complaining and be careful of the words you speak, because there are some people who wish they could walk. There are people born with no legs, people who have had their leg amputated, people who suffer with arthritis in their legs and people in wheelchairs who wish they could walk.
Walking supplements your income, so be grateful and don’t take God’s grace for granted. Just saying…

Two weeks since I began
back on the first of Jan,
my aim, better diet, lose weight,
one more birthday passed
hopefully not my last
so I'm changing before it is too late.
My input of dairy
was really quite scary,
demolishing cheese by the wedge,
my waist getting wider
from real ales and cider,
so time to cut back, eat more veg.
Eating more carbohydrates
cutting back on the phosphates,
ramp up vitamins B6 and B12,
If they've got Niacin and Thiamin
you can bet that I'll buy 'em in,
supplements slowly filling the shelves.
Pantry looks like a garden
as my resolve hardens,
more greens than I've eaten before,
Spinach, Broccoli, Legumes
are now taking up room
from the top shelf right down to the floor.
I'm into week three
for a healthy new me,
there's a few more tweaks I haven't done,
But I think, honestly
I prefer the old me-
this one isn't having much fun.

simply awake
No music lulls
No quiet snoozes
No counting naps
No stretching tires
My clock taunts me
No comfort lullabies
No breathing relaxes
Pajamas strangle me
No coolness soothes
No meditation stupors
No visualization sleeps
No position tranquilizes
No supplements sedate
No aromatherapy calms
or finger painting slumbers
I am insomnia’s vigilant sentry.
Where, oh where's the sandman?

Boosted immunity is an aim for us all
Like most, I have a rattling compartment
Where selection of supplements offer
Ongoing trip, ship of health embarked
My eight year old angel of exuberance
Sidles beside me for her citrus share
When she hears vitamin bottles tinkling
Chasing crisp vitamin C's sparkling flair
Sherbert fizz raphsody rests on her palm
Envelope of appreciation wraps me neatly
" There's lots of of Vitamin L for you," impromptu joke
" Vitamin Love" instant grin returns sweetly

Tended with diligent care and toiling
Prayed for against pest attack so severe
Being nurtured by God’s bountiful grace
Our church gardens* are flourishing indeed.
Abundant green and leafy vegetables
Sway healthily exuding their nutrients:
Camote, alugbati, and sili
Likewise, ampalaya, talong, okra.
Herbarium corner shouts vim and vigor
Since herbs serve with supplements’ readiness
There’s aloe vera; here’s serpentina
Sambong on the right; herbabuena, too.
Hedged with bamboos are ornamental plants
Vines and ivies find solace in their nook
Robust bushes, “fortune” and “welcome” reign
As shrubs of pink petiole and red gold peep.
Blest to be refreshed from these garden sites
I then linger near the acasia tree
Savoring oxygen breathed out freely
Thanking the Creator for flora-wealth.
Such is our Botanical Ministry
Offering sweet replenishment from stress
With greeneries’ beauty of wellness strength
Toward invigorating service-bliss.

Colds, sore throats, Meningitis,
Now I have the flu.
Wondering will this ever stop?
What do I need to do?
Vitamin supplements I’ve taken,
The guilt from work I dread.
All these negative emotions,
Whilst I’m lying down in my bed.
The children they still need me,
I can’t just lie here and be still.
A mother’s job continues,
Regardless of whether she’s ill.
School runs still needs doing,
Meals for the little ones too.
Even with a husband,
There’s still all these jobs to do.
At least I will recover,
In a week I’ll be back on my feet.
I won’t stay feeling down,
I’ll be too busy, there’s jobs to complete.
But while the kids are out at school
I’ll take my chance and rest
This feeling of being ill torments
The weakness I detest.

The most precious thing is breath;
It's the wall between life and death.
A universal and unifying energy
that gives mortal bodies synergy.
More than a mixture of elements,
It is nature's super supplements.
Not a respecter of race or religion;
it spans across realms and regions.
Racists would have been more logical
if breath and skin colour are identical.
What leaves the body at death is vital,
Not race but what makes us mortal.
As long as breath of life has no colour,
Racism will remain a sign of dishonour.
