As with all things it began small,
As a whisper, a glint, a glimmer
A distant chickadee giving voice
To a sun that rose ever silently
And a morn that seemed ever,
And ever more promising of wonder
Fleeting westward the veil’d stars
And rolling thunder
Dappling tears
That shed their gladness
The growing light abate the fears
Wrought, the wet groaning night.
And it seemed a slow standing ovation
A clatter of chirps, cars and school children
Beginning their ritual’d day
A smattering of clouds forming and deforming
As the orchestra began to play
And my window became a ringing call
Beckoning me to my door,
To turn the knob that had secured me before
Symbolizing a threshold—of a freedom
That lay beyond—
And more.
Straining, yearning for a glimpse
of the magnificent personage
when shoved forward by the crowd’s energy
he found himself face-to-face
with the object of the crowd’s adoration
What else could the ten-year-old lad do
but kiss Mr. Kennedy on the cheek
~ for which he earned a standing ovation

His act was first class
As he disappeared up his own ass
It always brought a standing ovation.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the Lord
As I stand here in worship, hands held high
Angels above singing, a standing ovation
A testament before all of creation.
I enter his court with thanksgiving
Unworthy, yet here I stand before him
He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings
Hosanna in the highest, creation sings
This night here in wondrous Yosemite,
I sing praises to my God and Savior
In glory the stars rejoice, so profound
And upon the rock, his hallowed ground
For this is the day that the Lord has made,
I will rejoice and be glad in it
Let the moon and heavens above cry out
Until his return with trumpet’s shout!

So the world without borders was a foolish idea
Poor authorities suffered from disrespect
Our sovereignty we have violated, my dear
Without taking notice we did that
The military industrial complex
Is being revived to standing ovation
Hard times have come, and it’ll be worse
Good job we’re free from further frustration
What a blessed fate, love, to go in due time
Free from their peasant nationalisms
From inane competitions, controlled decline
From taxation of the air we breathe
Back to the garden, as it has been sung
Back to our room with vase on the table
We’re remembered by trees, as forever young
Resting in peace within our fable.
artistic crocodile refused to wear clothes right away

his mother gave up, but his dad pouted a bit.
Thinking his son looked kind of like a nitwit.
Someone new to the Everglades made Artistic a movie star.
He was given a standing ovation, and that was just in the car.
His parents were given their own huge swamp in which to live.
His artistic soul and lovely talents continued to give.
Celebrate
Clap clap
Standing ovation
Look at what God is placing
Placing you in positions
With people who have similar visions
Visions to look through the lense
Let the positive ?? energy begin
Celebrating whether its something big or something small
It's time to celebrate it all
Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat1x)
You get up everyday
Put on your clothes
And then you step out the door
Do you know
What you hold
You hold the control
The control of your day
You can stop, rewind, fast forward or replay
Look at you
You doing great
No matter whats on your plate
Appreciate
Elevation and all of the dedication
Clap your hands
It's not to late
For you to celebrate
Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat 1x)
Celebrate big or small
You really deserve it all
(Repeat 1x)
Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat until chorus fades)

Love and marriage
Baby daughter, canopied carriage
Anniversaries come along
A schoolgirl now, can do no wrong
At college graduation
Daughter speaks, standing ovation...
Doting grandparents now
Time to renew our vows ...
.Anniversary number fifty
Our secret to longevity ~
Staying hip, now we’re ‘Swifties’
I started flirting with fire,
so intoxicated by incense.
This heart’s hell on wheels,
these shoes demand I dance.
So intoxicated by incense,
breath snuffed and passed.
Eradicated with your graze.
This heart’s hell on wheels,
receiving that standing ovation.
A core memory for my mantle.
These shoes demand I dance,
succumb to bared emotion.
My body and soul turned out.
Caught By Surprise
Not writing a poem for years is crazy work,
But she is my motivation.
Standing ovation.
Demanding no replacement of her kindness,
Her energy caught me by surprise,
But not blind sided.
I see HER.
She sees me freely with no judgment.
I love it.
I mean I love HER...
My thoughts of her are poems picked from the most loving poetry book in this section called "Kim". Not sold in stores.
Happy Sigh
I want to be heard
I want to be listened to
But not if I have to compete for attention
If it's my turn
Let me hold the microphone
Let the spotlight shine on me
I don't ask for much
No standing ovation required
Just a nod to show you heard
AP: Honorable Mention 2025
Final Applause
Velvet drapery in the dusk back-ground
A turntable goes around in sound
Baffled from the scenery
On stage imaginary
A final applause
Voices echo
The crowd lowered in the shadows
Blue lights array smoke
A late night show
The dark curtains open
Music in the back-ground travel
Across the floor
Dancing sway amused
Put on a play
Live performance shadowy
A pleasant evening
A poem live compelling
The final applause
Standing ovation
A play greatly appreciated
Midnight's zero hour draws ever near,
With bated breath, we await the cheer for new year .
Unfazed by cold, our spirits run high,
As nostalgia whispers sweet and bitter sighs.
Everyone hustles for parties, friends, and family
Gathering to cherish moments, dancing to music's melody.
The celebration euphoric, a grand adieu to the past,
Honoring 2024, as it leaves us at last.
Bonfires blaze, cheering the new year's entry, with glee,
firecrackers' burst ,a spectacle to behold in wild spree
Revellers fill the streets, a cacophony of delight,
A standing ovation for 2025, shining bright.
With promises renewed, we solicit blessings divine
For peace and happiness in the world to refine .
As the Sun rises above the horizon with radiant light,
We embark on a fresh journey, filled with delight.
