Amazed by each demonstration
of the illusionist's innovation
More than mere prestidigitation
Worthy of a standing ovation
“Chad deserves a round of applause!”
And more applause!
And more applause!
And a standing ovation!
And giggles get passed around!
I play the organ to a standing ovation~
and my hymns are gifts

Bright sun and cool breeze
Through green branches of tall trees
Along the park's trail
Reveal whitest clouds
And birds in flight and song as
We walked hand in hand
Bawdy limerick
An actor who’s called Tu Hung Lo
Starred naked in a seedy show
At his standing ovation
Couldn’t hide his elation -
Came back on stage in dickie bow!

And the Oscar goes to………..
your performance was brilliant.
But don't think for a second that
I will give you a standing ovation.

Congratulation
winners,
Poets
Saints
And sinners.
I reached the semi's
Now read in awe,
Inspired hands
Who beat my claw.
Have not met
All of you
Or said hello,
Allow
standing ovation
While enjoying your show!
Cascading into the abyss
With a roar of a thousand lions
Echoing down craggy canyon walls,
Plunging and carving solid rock
Into a mad torrent;
Yet the finer misty droplets
Billow above like a standing ovation
To God for a creation
Only his hands could craft.
I want to be heard
I want to be listened to
But not if I have to compete for attention
If it's my turn
Let me hold the microphone
Let the spotlight shine on me
I don't ask for much
No standing ovation required
Just a nod to show you heard

At the pitcher’s mound, for the Arkansas Razorbacks,
The scarecrow faces the crowd and sings, “Bring Him Home”
From the Broadway Musical, “Les Miserable”
Then, he receives a standing ovation from a flock of
Black crows chatting and eating buttered popcorn,
In the front row box seats, just behind home plate
There once was a great politician
Who was also an outstanding magician
His act was first class
As he disappeared up his own ass
It always brought a standing ovation.
*This limerick is dedicated to all those fine representatives of the people who say one thing and do the exact opposite whilst holding their constituents in contempt.
J-ust like a happy tune,
O-pening the big occasion;
E-vent that's so special,
L-isteners in standing ovation.
A-n upbeat dance song
L-ets all attendees smile;
M-elodious twirl on the floor,
O-ne joyful moment for a while.
N-ight even is much better,
T-wenty-fifth day in June;
E-vening either is brighter, just like a happy tune.
In one of her melodies of sundresses,
Heavenly Light erupts in full blaze,
well dressed in yellow, orange, and caramel.
The audience is passionately waiting
to bathe in her extraordinary performance,
of her golden rays.
With the evening coming to an end
creation cannot hold back with a standing ovation.

I have never wanted to give someone a standing ovation until I met you, until I heard the six-string orchestra that is the spirit of your backbone, until I investigated the fingerprints others had left under your eyelids, until I met the ghosts you were sleeping with, until I discovered the scars in places you can't even talk about, yes, you make me feel like applause.
What if each of us are the Avatar
of a reason to be.
A type of firmament principality.
Of what is, in expression of personified- inalienality.
A manifestation, of a kiss, bliss, a smile,
pregnancy, fomentation.
A certain romantic look to the sea.
What I feel is, everyone has a reason to be.
That, is a beautiful thing,
in standing, ovation.
Stand.
Deliver.
This musical quiver
from the ceiling tip top
of the high stratosphere-
Wait.
Ignition.
A fluid revision
like lightning in notes
we can taste as we hear-
Breathe.
Composing.
sounds for supposing
a dream blown explosion
to tether each psyche unique-
Rise.
Finale.
While hands to clap rally
a standing ovation
the height of these lungs at their peak-
Blue green beach
nature's sweet symphony
sand dollars thrown like roses on stage
the eyes of the audience in a captive trance
always a unanimous standing ovation
each mouth slightly parted and in awe
as the curtain sets on a
Dreamy Sea.
I started flirting with fire,
so intoxicated by incense.
This heart’s hell on wheels,
these shoes demand I dance.
So intoxicated by incense,
breath snuffed and passed.
Eradicated with your graze.
This heart’s hell on wheels,
receiving that standing ovation.
A core memory for my mantle.
These shoes demand I dance,
succumb to bared emotion.
My body and soul turned out.

A show well done
Broadway theory among.
Sweat drips backstage, mouth parched, heart beating at a sprinter's pace.
All eyes on me, as lights dim with spotlight honing on mic and lips.
Words flow to a standing ovation - I soak it all in.
One of the highlights for me in 2023 was performing spoken word for the first time on stage in front of a packed auditorium. It was a memorable experience and probably the greatest in my creative pursuits.
The greatness of a country
lies in its fortified unity:
one soul, one mind, one ideal;
woe to him if truth
does not honor his promised words,
they'll strip his title of all
dignity and pride...
many before him have sworn
an oath of true infamy.
He salutes his flag
in a military pose;
silence fills the hall,
the voters give him
a long standing ovation:
he's their President.

artistic crocodile refused to wear clothes right away
I will paint a camouflage instead, he used to say
his mother gave up, but his dad pouted a bit.
Thinking his son looked kind of like a nitwit.
Someone new to the Everglades made Artistic a movie star.
He was given a standing ovation, and that was just in the car.
His parents were given their own huge swamp in which to live.
His artistic soul and lovely talents continued to give.
Caught By Surprise
Not writing a poem for years is crazy work,
But she is my motivation.
Standing ovation.
Demanding no replacement of her kindness,
Her energy caught me by surprise,
But not blind sided.
I see HER.
She sees me freely with no judgment.
I love it.
I mean I love HER...
My thoughts of her are poems picked from the most loving poetry book in this section called "Kim". Not sold in stores.
Happy Sigh
Standing ovation
Tired situation
Overbearing aggravation
Complications of
Tired conversations
Multifaceted contemplations
Of overdramatic
Accusations poured
Constantly into dire
Straits of manipulations
Churning round in
My mind, never going
To be defined only
Rhymed over time
Line after line constantly
Being refined only to
Find that back again
They come words always
Being undone over
Again in my head.
