For those who want to travel throughout the sparkling magic of space,
to see meteors crashing on planets,
Icy comets passing by and dead moons revolving…
Just where do you think you are now?
This is not A.I.
Up there in the darken sky
Where astronauts fly
Accomplishing a heavenly ride
Pictures they took
Perfect for the global Instagram scrapbook
Allowing everyone a peek
Admiring the skyrocketing pecking cheek
Isn’t that sweet?
Reflecting upon the spaceship heat
Duet rekindling a romance
And dance
Expressing galactic vows
Circulating the day end bow
Performing a musical tune
Artemis waltzes around the illuminating moon
Ready to depart
Softening the international diplomatic heart
Exclaiming ‘gee’
Both stating ‘do you love me’
Heading home and everybody will see
Sporting Saturn rings
Showing off souvenir bling
Fore who completed a mission
Proving someone’s scientific vision
Life does exist throughout the stars
And we are proud to know who they are
Hey, let’s go to the moon
Opportunity will be departing soon
Count is descending down
Orbit will be bound
Hear the roaring engines sound
Amazing adventure maybe found
Playing lunar,’ ring around’
Shooting off into the night’s air
Like a candlelight flare
Nothing can compare
Accepting this trusting dare
Lasting ten days
Going both ways
Checking neighboring planet’s backside
During the fly
Bye
Without a tourist guide
Bringing home souvenir data and results
Empowered using many energy volts
Time to take the darken path
And invade the heavenly wrath
Hiking a darken road
Being very bold
Artemus two mission easily sold
We have been told
Sun agreed wearing blinging gold
Shining bright
Heating our exploring knights
With illuminating light
Assisting them in this successful flight
We’ll hitchhike to mars
on a rocket not a car,
so say your au revoirs.
We’ll steer towards Polaris, the north star
right through the center of the milky-way-bar.
See, the universe is dark and chocolatey.
Stars that glitter like multi-faceted gems,
are just shiny, yellow, peanut M&Ms,
take a handful, if you’d like, they’re free.
We’ll dodge the silhouetted moon,
which is made of enough coconut macaroon,
to make a French confectioner swoon.
As we go streaking, like a comet’s tail,
drag a finger through Saturn’s rings as well,
those are made of marshmallow.
We’ll pass nebulae made of cotton-kandi,
and here’s a fact Einstein would have found handy,
the speed of light doesn’t apply to candy.

Ramble on by Toni Jevicky
Redlight One to Mission Control!
Can you read me, Can you read me?
Are you there?
Has the comet hit you yet?
Did the 'Nuke it Baby' missile work?
Can you read me? Can you read me?
Perhaps not!
Oh well, here we all are,
in our tin can spaceship,
with our tin can robots driving the show.
With all our tin can things on board.
Tin can demountables for our homes.
Tin can of food on board stored.
Tin cans of water and all else we need.
Bit like camping in our teens.
For our colonization of Mars,
needs all these tin cans to succeed,
for a life live'n forever in,
and outta a tin can.
Hide the can opener from Elon!
Please!
Exposing rays from leaves, dense forest
Over and above with idle flow, riverine raft
None, still numerous belongs my closest
Melodies out the tropical denses,
Spreading vibes in everyone's hymn,
Fueling the bonfire with all poor instances,
Join all and let's ride good times.
spaceman come knocking on my door
said he gonna tell the night
said he gonna tell the star
I said one day soon
he’ll be far
his eyes were bright
but mine were too
and he
most distant man I’d ever see
boots were wide
padded suit
to see him through the galaxy
yet I’ll be here
spaceman there
opposite points in history
with every life in between
spaceman come knocking space’s door
said he gonna be blood of earth
said he gonna go explore
and off
bleed
carry our torch
Space travel
When I can't sleep
in the night
I close my eyes
see a myriad
of stars
some of them are red
but mostly blue
I continue my odyssey
through the galaxy
when stars
are a rarity
and further away
a wall of nothing
a space that has
no ending
a fear of a vacuum
ghostly immobility
where nothing matters
never did
Balloons fill with helium, soar in the sky
What strange gases burst politicians’ bellies
~ Perhaps Saturn will see them fly by
my line of work
is space travel
those distances between stars
that's me
arranging all the loungers
around the hyper-pool
although
I'm only filling in
August spider webs become thick as February snow wisps
Accumulating on our window sills
If each of us
All eight billion
Could stand in line in gardens and beside the sea
And wait our turn
To blast far up in outer space
And spend two minutes
Gazing down to our primate planet Earth
Through a little window
Perfectly fit to the size of all our faces
I think
The wonder
Of smallness and largeness and its great indifference
Could make it so that no human being
Would dare think of themselves as alone
Or desperate
Or insignificant
Ever again
We’d all believe
And killing would end.
I'm joining Elon Musk
It's Mars or bust
If we don't make it
we become space dust
But no way that's in the cards
We'll get there, we try hard
As for the trip back ~
Er, perhaps you've a tip?
I wouldn't like to live on Pluto
though you gave me a box full of gin,
a thousand woolly blankets
and loads of oxygen.
I wouldn't like Mercury either
for there I'd freeze or bake.
And where on Mars or Venus
is there beer, for Heaven's sake?
I have to accept I'm an earthling,
where I may have to suffer a lot.
Happiness lies in contentment
asking little more than what you have got.
Elon’s SpaceX will be such a boon,
as we jet to the far reaches soon.
This coil won’t contain us;
get a tan on Uranus,
ski the slopes on Pluto by moon.
Now it’s not that I mean to be crass,
but I mustn’t let one detail pass.
Don’t be caught unawares
by the spike solar flares;
those waivers don’t cover your ass.
When I take flight and head toward Pluto
I shall take optimism and enthusiasm
My hopes and dreams will be intact.
Positivity will lead the way.
As I bounce among the stars like a ping pong ball
I will retain my initial joy and excitement
There will be laughter and appreciation.
I will show the universe my joyful face.
The suns and moons of other planets will smile
Alerting the universe that a kindred soul is near.
They will be kind and generous with me.
Providing me with extra super optimism.
You can do this! They will encourage me.
You are on your way! They will cheer.
I will become one with the cosmos.
Fearless and excited to be me!
