My sky

My sky
Sadia Sultana shoshi

My sky, let me whisper
Into thy ears to tell,
How I saw losing myself
How I jumped and I fell.

If you hear,tell thy clouds
Tell them to rain,
To hide my tears, hide my story
To hide the raw stain.

If you hear,tell thy sun
Under him I'm all alone,
If he cries through your eyes
Please hide what I've begun.

If you ask, why I share
I got no answer neither help,
If you wanna go,you are unbounded
But those whispers, keep to yourself.

The sound of breaking

The sound of breaking is late.
Thunder shatters gray clouds after
lightning strikes the damp soil.
When pieces of sky pierce flesh,
the scream is slow to rise—
The sound of breaking follows pain’s echo.

The sound of breaking is gentle.
Raindrops tiptoe on my eyelids—
each sting a secret pressed down.
Earth's unbridled tears fall for my dried irises
like a mother weeping for her daughter’s sorrow.
The sound of breaking soothes the broken.

The sound of breaking is silent.
Breaking is walking beside the light,
but too dim to cast a shadow.
I watch as the sun clears the post-rain sky,
dyes its silk blue with the arc of a rainbow—
the sound of breaking
mutes even the birdsong at dawn.

Born yonder east flickering behind the rolling sky.
Majestic birth of light governs wonders for new and old eyes.

Though northern winds crash and whistle around walking legs under hooded collar of wet yet thick, warm, heavy coat.
Screwed up eyes know light shines bright between the lines of driving rain causing splash on tarmac roads.

Heavy sway of branch and leaf rustling all around. Faced down onwards walk - no run as pointless now the weather found.

At the first sign of the morning light
I hear the thunder roar!
It woke me from my sleep as the bed grappled my body
Not to be scared, I laid there motionless
The lighting flashes through the window
I closed my eyes while I was listening
Waiting for that moment to come - then all of a sudden
Ka Boom!!!
Oh, what a sound!!!! It drops your heart to the floor
While you are so scared, but be wanting to hear that sound some more.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Extraordinary people hide,
The beauty they most treasure inside,
Instead, they pay attention around,
To a wonderful world rich with sound.

Hide and seek can be fun for awhile,
Inside the mind, magicians beguile,
Around the world challenges the brain,
Sound manifests around us like rain.

Great, good, most always misunderstood.

Bogeyman, Bogeyman you come again
My night of hope screams for crumbs to eat,
I’m just a boy needing a few coins
Offering old tin cup to rich men on the lane.
Cold my body wrapped like soiled paper, trash
Echoing my plea for mercy or grace
Yet, I’m bypassed like a rag, a nameless tag.

While you laugh at my dingy fate, mocking
A young life’s poverty… I bellow of angst
Instead of helping me learn in school,
Your trace of arrogance maims my bones,

Do you know how hard it is to sleep in the rain?

Bogeyman. Bogeyman… one day, you just might
Take my place, and hear not the echo
Of kindness reverberating from heaven's call.

Plip! Plop!
Plip! Plop!
Rain drops
In puddle, pool, and pond.
When well spaced out
The drops can play
A pleasant rhythmic tune.

Premium MemberThe Gentle Flow

A song fades into the dark night
Song of wonder in mourning light
Breath of grace weeping silent tears
God’s love can still the flow of fears

Melodies, rich with softest notes
Gentle wings who the wind promotes
Birds praising until the storm clears
God’s love can still the flow of fears

Rhythms of desire, humble rising
Music flows through each baptizing
Harmony that the heart reveres
God’s love can still the flow of fears

Feeling grows wild as summer fades
Chorus trembles as rain cascades
It feels like music to the ears
God’s love can still the flow of fears

the sound of life

we breath in new
   the air is fresh
we breathe out stale
     the air is old
it's the circle of life
that keeps
                    all alive

as the machine of existence
drives forward
         along the road to mystery
and into the unknown light
but sometimes that once bright light
                                                        fades

the road becomes dark
                      and leads to purgatory
the darkness feeds and feeds
                           to satisfy its hunger
an hunger that lurks in the dark

then the road leads to blue skies
       sunny days of no rain
palm trees on a sunny beach
      tranquillity in the golden rays
while sitting on golden sand
looking out to waters blue
                                         and deep

        as we breath in
                 and
       we breathe out

The Sound of Rain

The sound of rain
Acts as a balm to my overtaxed brain
Is a sweet lullaby
Relaxes my bewildered mind
The soothing downpour
Washes all my worries away
Induces me to be in the arms of Morpheus
In a peaceful repose.

Premium Memberthe nights the lights went out

A terrorizing bang had my heart take a giant gulp.
I sat for a second, waiting for the next bang.
Is the word ending?
I ran outside to see

All the lights in the neighborhood went out
With a whistle and a whizzing sound
We saw them flip off all at once
It was dark now, no stars or street lights

What would happen next?
I expected stormtroopers to march up to me
I figured we would all be shot in the dark
No witnesses because none of us could see anything

There was a bit of rain, but it was not loud any more.
Sat in a porch chair, feeling alone and compromised.
We did not have electricity for four hours.
Discovered later that lightning had struck a transformer.

It is like the rain on a summer day
Each drop restoring, keeping heat at bay

If not for this I'd burn in hot sun rays
Bringing the rainbow, not blue sky to gray

It is like music, hearing holds you still
Goosebumps testifying to the thrill

If I couldn't hear, heart and soul would feel
this melody like medicine that heals

It is like magic, spells in each exhale
wrapping me in arms of love, all is well

So, let the rain fall cool, let music swell
Let your magic ring out like chiming bells

Let me be the reason, it will abound
For to hear you laugh, there's no sweeter sound
