Snubbing Poems | Examples

Excluded

Have you ever been excluded
From a party or event?
Maybe, you might have concluded,
Snubbing wasn’t the intent.

Still, to hear that folks will gather,
For a dinner, I’d presume,
And the hostess said she’d rather,
For a lack of food and room,

That there’d be no invitation
To include us on the list,
I am filled with indignation
And appropriately pissed.

At the moment I’m just chilling
In my cozy little house
And my time here I’ll be filling
By myself or with my spouse.

Guess it’s better I’m not going
To a place where it’s now clear
I would spend the evening knowing
I’ve been bumped to second tier.

Sleuth of Sorrows

The lonely shadow aside from the worldly poles
Wrenching like an unhidden find to hold
And the horrible ink of dreadful poison swiftly mold
Eyes were injurious red like a bleeding bed

Thoughts of frightful threads wrap
and rashly roll the clutching traps
Shadow envelopes like a black door
Tears were tip and tapped one after more

Shadow of shades deeply shallows
Only the gist of suffering and melting melodies
Are fluttering over the sleuth of emotion
God knows the happening in cores of motion

Sometimes, a burial bleed on the surface
Lips bewail like a snubbing scroll
And silence echoes in the cavernous hell
All Alone in the stiff stage of sicks to bell.

A Whole Day Spent Saying Sorry

Can one a whole day spend saying 'sorry':
Can man fill with 'sorry' back of lorry?

Methinks it would make a sight gory
Craving 'longest sorry' for one's glory:
Someone quite like you hairy or furry
To with 'voiced sorry' your favor curry...

It was a full day of it to a boss
By a stretched woman fearing sad job loss;
She had, too, written an apology,
Which had permitted some tautology:
"I'm working singlehandedly alone;
No great help from calls with my handset phone".

Really, alone bearing a most cruel cross
Once, a rolling stone gathering no moss.
Then, work she left for Evangelism,
Lately struck by its rare magnetism;
Preacher's new message Asceticism:
Man should be snubbing all cynicism...

Her boss was shocked that her last name is Ross.
He'd met twelve Ross that tried nothing gross.

Leprechaun Schleprechaun the jealous gnome Ned said.
They will be sorry about snubbing me when I am dead.
St. Patrick’s Day faerie’s emerald eyes rolled around in her head.
The leprechaun will always trump us both, so get over it Ned.

Upon Ones Death Friends Turn Pink

Upon one’s death friends turn pink
While at one another enemies wink;
Always do our sweethearts shrink
Off to some lone spot slink
With their rivulets of tears at their brink.

Means, then, such as I should twice think
And for brooding minutes cease to blink
And try my best to with God link
So that my ship doesn’t early sink
And drowning I salt water drink.

Also, I should to Reality bend,
A great deal snubbing Alcoholic Trend:
Nicely for the sake of my friend
Who might begin to envision his end.

Premium MemberNot Even One

"There is no God," says the fool in his heart:
Dreadful, depraved, nowise good, even part.
The LORD looks down on the children of man,
sees if they seek him, if they understand.
Corrupt, all have turned aside, everyone
there is none who does good, not even one.
Of Him, no knowledge, not even a shred.
They eat up His people as they eat bread,
snubbing their peril, blind to the terror;
God's with the righteous, not those in error.
O man, you who shame the plans of the poor,
do you not perceive? The LORD will restore.

When, LORD, salvation? When will it be had?
Let Jacob rejoice, Israel be glad!

Premium MemberWoke

day one
you woke
everything you thought you were before you closed your eyes and inhaled the dreams of your twisted line is discovered to be a lie
a falsehood, trickery, fabrication
disappearing behind a cloak of aberration
crawling on hands stuck to scarred wrists
pilfering life from dumpsters of deception
avoiding the glares of incandescent veneer
snubbing red streaked orbs within the mirror

you woke
purity of thoughts
not meant to be shifted, changed, sliced, diced, redefined, realigned
altered by a syringe of soiled crystalline
caressing an ignorant conscious
boasting to change God’s perfect design

you woke
celestial spirits scraping scales from your denying eyes
looking down to discover god created you
to look up knowing
One day, you woke
sober

Judging :: Grammarian Sonnet

We are living in an environment
what is indeed driven by cynicism
Everyone questioning each decision
judging others, many lacks pragmatism
frightening views causes embarrassment.

Seeds of judging, grows in mind since childhood
snubbing on acts made them feel they're no-good.

Thoughts come in mind when everyone judging,
there's no reason why she'd not judge others.
We taught her to judge each one, no wonders
she judges starts from her sisters, brothers.
Yet, sadly not teaching about trusting.

Resulting each judges, made them envy
they're unable to love, become friendly.

Words Worth Writing

Sweet hope has taught no truth more fair -
the soul should like a garment wear
divine righteousness; mine, threadbare.
I'm stunned by doubt that passes by
Christ’s majesty… to edify
man's shallow robes. Feet and hands lie
exposed to the world’s suspect eye,
rough clouds obscure and fog love's sky.

Emotions reign; disdain runs deep;
in dogma’s cup, reactions steep.
Snubbing the Spirit’s sway, men sweep...
rejecting virgin birth; their drill
denying Sonship, overkill.
Launching trust as on a treadmill,
rather than reckoning God’s will.
Devotee daydreams his way uphill
leaving his faith at a standstill.

Childhood Memories

Childhood mem'ries, happy childhood mem'ries
When the world was beautiful and sunny
I laid down my head and prayed
For new toys and for good grades
I did not need much for joy and comfort.

Then years later life became much harder
Learning all I could with care and ardor
But my passion scorned my peers
They replied with shoves and jeers
Till my zest for life was near extinguished.

College years, I gained my independence
Shunning all my foes with my transcendence
I had strength and zeal to fight
Working hard both day and night
Hoping to create a world utopia.

When I graduated, I was certain
Comfort and success would be my guerdon
But the world turned me away
Snubbing all I had to say
All my hopes and talents were for nothing.

Now, I'm growing older and more broken
And the sleeping world is still not woken
My beard gets grayer by the years
My eyes get wrinkled by my tears
And I feel less hopeful for tomorrow.

Fortune Works In Stone

 tercets

Forged from absolute luck
housed in pure, pious pluck.
- an ivory iris - It took some work.

Soaked my clay many times
in the juice of sour limes -
snubbing barbs from my peers, "you stupid jerk!"

It stripped the brass from this loon
in the sight of the moon
rubbing sand in blisters, catching my breath.

Now as the grandeur fades
I will, as grace cascades,
fashion an ebony iris for death.

Premium MemberIs Verse Dying

Captive of creative-writing programs,
It is specialized job of small groups,
Handy to a few these frantic anagrams
Poetry sadly belongs to sub groups.

We have credited professional poets,
Creative writing teachers at all stage
Composing computer- created poems
Creating illusion of the Golden Age.

These professional poets have secured
Their own niches in academic world,
Like jackals, cry over the milk allured
Over dried-up well they uselessly snarled.

Success assured by work quantitative
Snubbing the work if not qualitative.

Premium MemberMy Life

Duties abound
Pursued throughout
Golden years of
My life,
Concerned for all
Couldn't care less,

Solicitude is not
The reward,
Emotions betrayed
Snubbing now is
Not acceptable,

The realisation that
It's just me,
Free to live
My own way,
My own decisions
My life,
Nobody else
Would decide.

A winsome situation
Living to
Nobody's appeasement,
Frankly my dear,
I don't give
A damn !!

Rain Returs

RAIN RETURNS

Rain showering
Offering affluent tribulations
On the feet of barren tree
Blushing and springing life .

Cajoling rain anoint
Holy oil on burnt out soul,
Caressing rain smear
Heavenly bliss on temples ,
Murmuring rain
Horripilate espousing
Garden fresh love .

Rain grunts
Slashing violently
Deporting love to landslides
A henchman sleeps at the bell mouth .

Rain mourns
The untimely death
Of love and silence.

Rain sneakes off
Snubbing of burning chest
Rain sneaks off
To unreachable reaches.

Rain knuckles
Fleeing to terrains ahead
Making us heavy hearted .

I'M Turning Into Mother

I’m turning into mother
Eyebrows, nose, and lips.
Bosoms hanging, almost, to
my child bearing hips.

She’s grumpy and forgetful
And I’m growing much the same.
Tables now are turning
In the parent child game.

It’s me that does the cleaning,
Feeds and dresses too
Who always asks before we go
‘have you been to the loo’?

Her childlike ways increasing
throwing tantrums, snubbing food,
and me left to be patient
understanding, kind, and good

I’m turning into mother.
But the future I can see.
‘cos they tell me life’s a circle,
and soon, that child will be me.
