Premium MemberA MOTHER'S LOVE EVEN IN DEATH

Lillies placed upon your chest,
beneath the earth you're laid to rest.

I visit with tears to heal my soul,
they water the soil that's black as coal.

The earth is moving beneath my feet,
Your lillies have popped up from beneath.

I smile and take a refreshing breath,
The lillies have grown from your chest.

Straight from the womb and your heart,
You gave the lillies a good start.

We are strong and bold and beautiful,
My tears reached your soul it's undisputable.

In thy untroubled ashes may our distance be light.
We live in one another still.

Premium MemberMy Family: Like a Garden

Like a garden is my family - mostly sisters, for I and they grew up without our father. The oldest, I’m September’s aster, gathering words like rain as in wind’s rhythm I sway. After me is Jen, a gracious geranium, abloom with generosity. Third in line is charming Mel, a marigold smiling in the sun. Fourth is Dori, a hardy diligent daylily enduring many a storm. Last is Thea. A delicate Mimosa, she gives and requires tenderness. At garden’s center is our mother, our ever-loving spiritual rose. Surrounding us all are beautiful friends, our sister flowers.

With all the love in my heart, I wonder how can I carry on.
I wish we were together again and I am glad all your pain is gone,
I see your sweet smile, still encouraging me some how.
I looked up to you, in everything we did, just as I am doing now.
My beautiful sister, wrap your wings around me so we won’t be apart.
I wonder how I can carry on, with all the love in my heart.

For My Darling Little Sister, My Punky
I gave Him all thanks when she was born, my sweet event, my newborn, babe sis. All that she did, did my heart adorn. Loving her when seven was valued bliss. I brought Mom warm wash cloths each change time, and told her when new bottles were prime. Joy was snuggling her in bed or a chair. My Elizabeth Jane's skin was fair, with a cute button nose and eyes sky blue. Five ten's have passed and my sis' love stays true.

Premium MemberMy Three Sisters

How blessed I am to have three,
My beautiful siblings be!
They have traits of our mother
Yet unique to each other

All gifted beyond compare.
Of music and wit and care
Compassionate, loving too.
All have virtue, through and through.

While they are away, I pray
That soon I will come their way
And embrace them once again,
And fondly remember when-

In childhood or later years
In laughter or heart-felt tears
Our lives are forever one,
Of love, eternally spun.

Suzanne received the disturbing news
while arranging her sister’s wedding bouquet
her sister had been killed in an auto accident
she got busy, changing these bouquets
into a beautiful funeral wreath

unpredictable or surprising...
Nonetheless my heart was touched

Sister

You are a gift.
You are a brilliant,
beautiful flower.
You are a rose in the garden.
You are a vivid,
and intense color,
unique among all others.
I see you.

You are a presence...
an emotion moving like music.
You are a perfume.

My new sister...
You make me laugh,
you hold me up.
You give me so much more,
then you take. (or accept)
I can never give back...
half of the kindness,
thoughtfulness,
and love...
you have so readily
given.

I look forward to our life...
Your brother is a good man,
and I have gained,
a family.
A real...
family.

Premium MemberMeeting Her Orange and Pink Sister

She was exquisite, dainty, beautiful, surreal in her gorgeousness.
We were astounded, in awe, intimidated, imagining her worthiness.
The prettiest faerie by far, we told each other, and we meant it.
Then her sister arrived -orange and pink the best color combo ever.

Lavender Massage Oil, Lavender Sheets

The snowstorm doing its very best,
To sneak through the window panes
to our night of play and rest.
The almost musical crackling of our
grand fireplace.
Casting an amber-like glow on your chiseled,
beautiful face.
The armoire with lighting divinely glamorous,
A setting for lovers forever, truly, amorous!

Flickering candles add to our lovers' nest
ambiance.
The piece de resistance is warmed Lavender Oil
making our hearts swirl and dance.

Those magnificent,silken Lavender sheets.
So inviting and what a great and wondrous
Christmas treat!

Good-night, dear world~ here is where
this poem must conclude.
We wish all those in love, a very close,
warm, winter's eve, interlude!

Premium Member-soul Sister-

There was a woman from Chicago, who loved playing
loud music once too often, outside!

Her neighbors, no friends, locked her in her brown
shed, with no food at all to survive.

Poor thing, she passed away, dreaming of her favorite
tunes, to her very end.

A beautiful funeral procession was held, playing those
same tunes they so vehemently condemned.

And into heaven' s gate she did glide, where she and
her tunes gloriously, to this very day, abide!

Oh delight, joy and bliss,
it is SPRING and it is raining outside;
and like a child all I want to do is go play,
I remember the drip drop, tinkling of snow melting.
Little rivers going down the street that I had to investigate,
sometimes, I would take my little brother and he dressed the part;
in his yellow slicker, big boots and too big hat, he had to probe sidewalks,
it is a beautiful and sweet memory of big sister and little bro in a spring shower.

Premium MemberWaiting On Cassie

Before you arrived,
there were things to do,
so many things,
just for you.

Tiny baby clothes,
folded and stored,
a brand new bed,
and dresser drawers.

Teddy bears waiting,
In your tiny bed,
little bonnets,
for your fuzzy head.

Diapers neatly stacked,
In every corner,
Grandma's knitted blanket,
to keep you warmer.

Your sister kissed you,
through my belly,
then trying to share,
her peanut butter and jelly.

We couldn't wait,
to meet you,
on the special day,
that you had decided.

The time drew close,
then you were here,
your mother's dark hair,
and her nose.

Your sister's fingers,
your father's crooked toes,
your smile so beautiful,
It's all your own.

My heart beats forever,
right next to yours,
my beautiful child,
welcome home.

Premium MemberI Felt Her Presence At Three a M

I felt her presence at three o'clock a.m.
She was in the hallway. I knew it before I looked up,
because she exudes a feeling I recognize.
I typed to the end of the sentence,
then I saw her materialize.
She gave me that cocky confident happy "I love you" smile.
The back of my neck prickled, as it always does upon her arrival.
Diane visits each year on her death date. For some odd reason,
her birthday visits are a bit more sporadic.
I watched her disappear as fast as she had arrived.

beautiful sister
my hair is standing on end
her spirit loves me
