The Angler and His Worms
The most Compleat Angler that's ever been
A zillion worms he'd gleefully dangled
Lies cold and squirming, and sadly doth glean
He's feast for the worms used while he angled...

Night Lights
Observe the sky
Moon entire pie

Many stars far away
Dare to count? I can not say!

Planets gleaming bright
Sure have light

Zillion things in sky
What view, by the by!...

So Many Sundays To Come
I
I am
So embarrassed
To put this out here
Shame on me shame on me
X a zillion times
I always say there are so
Many Sundays to come
So I've been walking around
Like a chemically injected chicken
Looking fat but with nothing inside...

Premium Member Charming, My Dear
A zillion ways, I think, to charm
Tiny kittens will always me disarm
Children licking on an ice cream cone
An old man sitting on a bench alone
I do not know what charms you, dear
This poem won’t do it, I sorely fear.

Size Doesnt Matter
I never flatter
Size doesn’t matter!

We are so small but we have come this far
Because of our wisdom that knows no bar!

We are so small but we can understand God
Because we can make our mind extremely broad!

We are so small but we can win a zillion of hearts
Because we can be kind regardless of ifs and buts!...

August eighth nineteen thirty-seven her tiny Spirit thus landed on
This distant planet, within a parallel universe her newborne galaxy..
Ancient eyes gazing as yet but another of their own; Celestial's child ?

Dinosaurs
DINOSAURS

Yes, I’m an old dinosaur, she said.
But dinos ruled the world as its head -

For a zillion years, undestroyed,
Long before the asteroid.

So powerful in their kingdom
That only God could stop ‘em.

Alter Ego: (There's Something About Nora)
She wouldn't want to bore ya,
but there's something about Nora.

Things physical, not audi
fly away from her body,

Fail to nail the counter,
hit the deck all around her--

A zillion spills to mop up:
coffee grinds, egg shells, & catsup.

"Magnificent Uncoordinated
Movements," an old boyfriend said,

In and out of bed. Still, There
Was Something About Nora....

Premium Member I Am Not Concerned
Eight degrees currently
I am not concerned
feeding on my sausage corndog
wrapped in syrupy pancake batter
enjoying the warmth of my house
in no hurry to face the bitter winter day
probably a zillion calories in each nibble
do not care in the least
love this marvelous newly found item
found in the frozen Jimmy Dean section
I devour it with gusto
sated, satisfied and unconcerned....

All I Want
All I really, really want...
is a platinum gold star
and a shiny race car
and a couple of bags full of cash
and a great big house where I can splash
in the pool with a swim up bar
with a couple of zillion friends who are
a life of laughs that never ends
and faith that's strong and never bends
and a man who can make me believe
in love and hope and sweet night dreams
and that's about it....

Premium Member First Rose of Summer
Sitting at my thinking spot
Sun is going down
Thoughts of you abounding
No one else around
Birds are singing happily
Joyously in flight
Maybe one of them is you
Who's come to say goodnight

Kiss me so that I can dream
Dreamy dreams of you
Come and land inside my heart
Until my days are through
Then spend part of eternity
A hundred zillion years
Singing for me, that would be
Music to my ears...

Mayflies
ephemeral cloud
zillion life cycles daily
brahma sleeps awhile

.......

Notes:
In Hindu Cosmology Brahma goes to sleep for a period of 4.32
billion years, which is a period of time equal one day (of Brahma)

The Life of the Mayfly (Ephemeroptera) is very short (ephemeral) , typically one day when it has to find food, mate, lay eggs and die.

Premium Member Love Sparks
As their eyes met,
sparks of love
emitted
emotions swelled,
passions surged

like a well
full to the brim
a tear drop
glistened
in her eyes

cutting across
the borders,
it slithered down
her creamy cheek
as a freshly formed
globule of dew.

cracking
into zillion
rays of light,
it created
a zillion wavelets
of joy

suddenly,
she turned
into a forest aflame
he,
a river in spate!...

Faithless Faith
“Bound by banks of time, a zillion years had passed before you and a zillion years yet to come; but in this timeline, we never met a GOD as he is a cup of delusion and so don’t fear the sacrilege, if you decide not to drink from that cup since bustle of civilization thrived without him and will continue.” After the speech I silently retired to my room and bowed.

scuttled the true faith
and celestial opulence -
I beg Your mercy....

Premium Member One Gray Hair
I found it many years ago. In fact, I was not old at all. My future then I could not know, for aging’s toll was still so small! For wrinkles yet I did not fret! But time rushed on – and soon with dread, I saw my gray hairs multiply. A zillion clones assault my head! At 62, I want to cry. Futility! Time’s got to me! 3/10/18 for Broken Wings' "Rhyme Me a Posie" Contest Theme #3: One Gray Hair

And When Those Feet Kiss the Grass
They swayed in ecstasy
With the young wild wind,
They cried in tears of dew drops of joy.

Their roots moaning
To be buried deeper into the land of love,
Their love still seeking to be selfless
Having been trampled over a million times.

In those billion kisses between my bare feet
And the zillion lips of grinning grass,
The dusk rose to a romantic night.
A blushing sky overlooking two lovers,
Immersed in a love ever not so blind....

Dancing In the Rain
Rains of world's zillion drops
Ounces of jubilation and madness
Drains the clouds' teardrops
Bounces in invitation, not sadness

Rains over trees and heads that greets
Medleys in bees and hearts that sing
Pains healed when the sun and moon meets
Chimneys of hearth eject and bring

Rains of summer and misty skies
Skylining like rainbows before twilight
Drops of wonder flitting like dragonflies
Drizzling, soothing the hearts of the night...

Premium Member I Give Them Choices
I give them choices because as a child I wanted them
But did not get many in the sixties, for it was not a child-friendly time.
They are in third grade, and they can do one of these:
make a comic strip
write a song
create a video
write a play
create a poster
or a mini poster ……………………………………………………about bullying

Or rather anti-bullying

They are bamboozled, asking me a zillion questions
Not running with it like I would have at age eight...
