I Give Them Choices

I give them choices because as a child I wanted them But did not get many in the sixties, for it was not a child-friendly time. They are in third grade, and they can do one of these: make a comic strip write a song create a video write a play create a poster or a mini poster ……………………………………………………about bullying Or rather anti-bullying They are bamboozled, asking me a zillion questions Not running with it like I would have at age eight

You know, sometimes I think the bullies don't realize that they are bullying. And, sometimes I wonder if they are bullied by someone, too. I think so. Else, how did they learn bullying behaviors?

I always tell my little ones that in every single instance the bullies are being bullied by a bigger bully, and that is why we have to know, so we can help them. I also call them "chicken bullies" and when I start getting glares, I know who the chicken bullies are.
