Singing While Wearing Sandals
Singing While Wearing Sandals

What I wonder is who will be one who handles,
Some more problems that do involve scandals;
Frequent shopper,
And show stopper;
Singing Star Spangle Banner wearing sandals?

Through the Fire
I've been through many fires
Some were hot some were warm,
It got rough sometimes
But I came out unharmed,
See I belong to the flame stopper
Who supplies my fire proof uniform.

Remember you're either going into a storm
You're in a storm
Or you just came out of a storm...

Rear Admiral “Amazing Grace” Hopper
To her colleagues quite the show stopper
She turned computers to household items
And now humans know how to control them

A counter-clockwise clock hung on her wall
To prove man’s mind is not so small
Always looking beyond and above
Her vision and efforts a labor of love...

Shorelines toss her sweet sensation with saucy flair, sealing fresh soil of a season’s shape, so divine; where songs submit to a bird notes' smiles. Poor Julius Fred
Poor Julius Fred,
No longer anxious to wed;
A celebratory life once led,
Now, a mixer with the ill-bred,
His eyes, a darker red!

Home goes back to the queerest bed:
Stopper of good use of the best head;
A drift to fatal coma he’d dread,
His life’s yoke heavier than lead.
From his table vanished, the true bread.
And from his memory, the times he truly fed....

Love From My Ancestors
The love you receive
Is the love that you meant to receive
Paddle with me,keep up with the pace
Through struggles and challenges
Comes growth
Move with the waves
Feel the movement
The anointment has begun
Do not hold yourself back
Be a show stopper
Do not ask,why me
Be grateful you have encountered that challenge
As that challenge will be your victory....

Hot Water Heater Woes
My faucets run cold, what IS this about?
My hot-water-heater-tank pilot light's out!
Press down that red button and click 'til I pout
Then spew out a string (my religion in doubt)

My stove-top still lights, I can still take a bath!
Boil three piping pots full (I HOPE that will pass)
Teeter and totter like I'm walkin' through glass----
The stopper ain't stoppin', you STUPID dumb-ass!!...

Premium Member Tumbleweed
I was drifting through life resembling a tumbleweed,
Encountering life's challenges at each unseen bend.
Just tumbling along paying things little heed
Propulsion provided by each day's prevailing wind.

My vision was clouded and I had a misplaced trust
My thoughts became consumed by things past tense.
My armor, never shiny, was now devoured by rust
Cancer was my stopper, not some barbwire fence....

Stopper
how many times whiplash before neck
broken we fall before thee, prostrate,
dead.

crawling through backways,
squirming, recoiling,
is it a prayer or a deathwish. can it be
both. or, maybe, it is a leaking faucet
drip
into a sink with a stopper.
drip
                we have
                so much
drip
                potential....

Inherited In Love
Passion filled envelope
passed from generations
stuffed with revelations
sealed with gar gum glue
Pockets emptied in it
trinkets, pendant copper
the shell encrusted stopper
to a flask of slow gin fizz
Secrets buried deeper
lipstick kissed and minted
songs of icy winter
echo crystal cracked
Gift to son or daughter
love alive from ancients
they'll pass it down if patient
and willing to fall in kind......

One Time At the Beach
I went to a nude beach one time
Where tanning was filling their needs
Ronald MacDonald in his prime
Showed his buns of sesame seeds

That's a crazy way to see a clown
But that wasn't the show stopper
Heads turned around and jaws fell down
When burger King showed his whopper!

The Dairy Queen's milk containers
Really caused most of the uproar
They looked the same, but twice the size
No one saw jugs that large before!...

Copper Instead of Gold
People now walk up to copper,
Where Gold isn't for the hoper
And silver starves seekers proper:
Every single eager shopper...

Then go for the waiting copper,
Gold bound to be a Heart Stopper;
From behind bullets The Dropper
Your shooter off with his chopper.
Also, with your Gold - Changed Pauper;
You as dead as the grasshopper
That manure secures for a cropper...

Only go for precious Gold,
When it isn't hot to hold...

Beguiling Spirits
Beguiling Spirits

I know of their enchantments
The longings they inspire
Of promised inhibitions
And kindling desire.

Constrained by walls which glimmer
Opaque or dim or clear
Sweet barely muted whispers
Succumb the naked ear.

A hand upon the vessel
The stopper freed at last
A casual undulation
Poured neat into the glass.

Embracing sips then swallows
Well finished is the fight
Enveloped by the liquor
Of amber, red, or white....

Premium Member Mermaid
we met in glass jars
on the Beagle in the Pacific
I'd never seen anything
like you before, your hair, your smile,
your huggable eyes, thrown together
by beards and tankards
grabbed from every sun, but
you reflected curves onto my glass
and maimed my stopper for oceans
now we sit on different shelves
but I can still hear you sing
in the darkened storages
and that's more or less
how it was between us
for hundreds
if not thousands
of years...

This One Is For Keeps
Her presence fills the room with an aroma
Ease is within her body language
There is no words to describe how the feeling is
Her beautiful soul captures my inner thoughts

The man above must have taken his time for this one
Intelligence was born with her
Love is hidden in her heart
Those eyes that leaves nakedness on the body

Her soft voice leaves you trembling
She is not a show stopper
Yet she is indeed the show
I could not take my eyes off her...

Did You Knock
At the beginning you're easy to manage
Then slowly I push you away
As others fill your space
Time is gone so fast each day
Justified
I just want to rest now
I will finish later this chore
That obligation
So easy to glide out the door
Past you...did you knock?
Twice?
I didn't really forget you
A nagging presence. Notes left
Behind
The deadlines are always down the street
Fear is a stopper. The procrastinator
Such relief when you are all done
Just knock...

My Childhood
My childhood
Limicolous nomic but limpid or propper,
Hard lines limb, non violent and passage stopper,
Vegetarian, nonchalant, compliance or observant,
Prepotent prepositor, jannock jangler and importunate copper.
Metoposcopist, mettled, nonplus politer or politic,
Demonstrator, protagonist, receiver or a fair way to chopper.
My childhood, credible, conceivable or appreciator,
Sagacious, replenish, reprobator and republished hocker.
My childhood was a joker....

Premium Member Dead Drunk and Pickled
From the dark vaults of Nottinghamshire's rich history
Full of intrigue folklaw and mystery
Comes a rather gruesome tale
About a unlucky drunkard who drank too much ale
While frequenting a local drinking inn
In a drunken stopper
The man fell down the stairs
And landed head first into a barrel that he fell in
And drowned.

What a way to go
Was it ale or gin we may never know
Proof that drink kills
A grizzly tale
To give you a chill.
