The Starlet
A starlet on show at the Globes
encouraged provocative probes
her cleavage surrounded
by pinkness unbounded
and exes who're now homophobes....

Where met a cute, winsome young harlot
Smiling, he took it in stride

Back-Up Plan
The starlet wore a cutaway gown
The bodice somewhat non-existent
When asked who she was wearing
She said, "Myself, for I am preparing,
Should this acting gig turn out minor
I plan to be a world-class designer.

Metropolitan
Times Square
Intersects the television screen.
At the crescendo of the scene
A starlet sings a melancholy song,
Hiding in a costume that disguises
The method she employs
To hypnotize the audience.

Darlings
As we breathed, we stood apart,
Rocks fall, our world crumbling...
I feel trapped like a conjuring charm...
Loving you is an existence...
Losing you is a solicitous ardent.
A prick in my breath is our amulet,
Inlet borders our souls, my starlet...
As we died, we stood in cahoots....

Orange Roses
Orange roses
A lonesome starlet
And a lusty lover-moon
Scarlet thoughts of tides
Of deep passion and romance
I dream of orange roses.
Roses fresh and rare
Covering you all over
And I flick them one
By one to find my love bites
Wherever the roses were.

Favorite Shoes
A rising, young starlet named Ruth,
Unaware that it was uncouth,
Wore sneakers and socks
With her formal frocks,
‘Til Miss Manners taught her the truth.
Designers now over their shocks,
Are thinking quite out of the box.
Though they are annoyed,
They are duly employed
Sewing diamonds on argyle socks.

Wet Spot
You're gone
I like to think your soul wears an aurora
like a starlet dons full length mink
sashaying across the galaxy
just like when you were living
so dazzling-right in front of me
flashing that pink pearl between two fangs
knowing that kissing it would surely mean my death.
I'm still waiting for a sign from the other side,
that wet spot in my dream...could that be you?...

Her Eyes
Her Eyes
Her eyes bore the sorrow of a sadness she had known,
But her smile was bright for those who came her way.
That her heart had suffered, see she bore it all alone,
But her eyes this inner secret would betray.
Her eyes become misty as the tender memories stir,
Her lovely eyes are wounded with the pain,
Beautiful her starlet yet had fallen to the earth,
Like autumn leaves are crushed after the rain....

Violin Ritournelles
crystals and moonlight
dreams mystic and lunatic
drenched in lusciousness
of tinsel rains scattering
inebriating hues and tints
mindboggling silences
lead the way for
violin ritournelles
drawn and conjured
meditations and illusions
starlet laughter and
subliminal transcendent
luminescence

Candle Starlet
playful and flirtatious flame
twinkling and glimmering
candle dancing flickering
casting a myriad of midnight shadows
scintillating and wavering
mesmerizing and hypnotizing
fluttering and quivering
in the dead stillness of dark night hours
suddenly yikes! it dawns on me
that your flame may really be a captive
struggling with despair to free itself
to join its brethren stars up in the sky

Today's Extended Metaphor
The young starlet is sacrificed.
She is stark naked on a 20 foot
crucifix.
Piss streams
run down her thighs
and the wood.
Nails thick as cigarette lighters
are pounded through the bone.
Blood seeps to the surface
and stains her pasty, chalky skin.
Once vital hair
drapes down
over a low head.
Ecstatic apes,
also naked,
ranging in all ages, from the youngest
to the senior,
dance a mad dance in a circle
around the crucified dame
in a ceremony of grounding....

Truth of Old Oak Trees
Underneath the crescent moon,
I spy the eyes watching me –
no expression in the dark, just
glowing in the tree.
As the whispers ride the breeze
telling me their stories
A calming silence fills the trees
standing in their glory.
Who are you to question us
on why we love this valley
nowhere else can we be free
love is in this place only.
Underneath the starlet sky
the crescent moon is watching me
helping me to find the path
of truth through old oak trees....

Devil Dog
She rolls her eyes
and the Devil Dog
knows a subordinate
a savory dish
for her eyes
they deviate
Jackals are gathered
to howl at Sirius
like satellites
they are called up
below it
under its occult rising
The cohort is hoisted
the dole is allocated
immaculate coercion
a spree of offerings
and favors are granted
torches are lit for burning
The ascendent is gifted
the starlet branded
abiding attendants are delighted
under her heliacal rising
Canicula is blazing....

Perfect 10
Nadia Comaneci
Gymnastic Queen
Olympic starlet
Romania's dream
Montreal summer
As this young girl bloomed
Three Gold Medals
Young boys swooned
Moscow 1980
Another two Golds won
For this Romanian girl
The darling one
America bound via Montreal
This young gymnast stool so tall
Her dance routines, amazing and hip
From her somersaults, to her back flips
She was one of my idols
When i was in my teens
Her Perfect 10
Has to be seen
" Dedicated to Nadia Comaneci "...
