A bullfrog jumped into my eye socket today.
Pushed my retina aside, and was clearly on his way.
I can feel him jumping around. My sight is blurry.
Doctor, please come quick, as if you are in a hurry....

War Kills
War kills

Retina less windows
Bodies were strewn on foul streets
A photo of Grozny
Summary execution
Death sways from unlit lampposts
Friend or foe
Who knows?
Conspiracy of peace
Both sides declare victory
The truth is debris...

violent trembling earth
laughing at the joke

spilling glasses giggle
red stained miracle

a quake in the
empty womb
erected flags of passion
half mast sorrow
of vanishing youth

a giant eyeball
flashes
'cross the sky

I fly
to its retina

it blinks
I am trapped
my bed
is soaking wet
my libido
dies

I stand
I fall
to my knees
dragging
what is left of me
gazing
at my oppressor as

a giant eyeball
flashes
'cross the sky...

Premium Member As Eye See It
Beauty,
what is it,
how can it be
so fragile;
Will o' the wisp,
here today
gone tomorrow,
ethereal;
And yet..
is it skin deep,
mirror made
reflections;
Deeper
in the glass,
the eye tells more..
reveals;
Appeals
to the beholder,
a unique view
ever new;
Enduring
and indelible,
etched upon
love's retina...

Premium Member Upside Down World Is What Our Eyes See
Just like a pin-hole camera's image
The image formed on our eye's retina
Is upside down and cock-eyed
But our brain's used to that,
And tricks us with reversion version
So what we think we see is flipped downside up reality
Our view is an illusion flipped up and flopped over
Sunny side up to go....

Her Lurid Eyes
A token flash from your azure eyes so fair
The snapshot did my ingratiated lids snare
Your sharpened stare did my focus pair
My singed cornea was left in state of disrepair
Your beaming irises cast a searing flare
My dilated pupils your steam did not spare
Reflecting lenses as mirrors cast lurid glare
My glowing retina could not the intense flame bear...

Premium Member I See Dots - Lots
Close your eyes, what do you see?
Excuse me!
See with closed eyes
What rubbish, such lies!
But I see Coloured dots dancing around
Changing colour, falling to the ground
Others see them when they rub their eyes
It's Strange but no big surprise
Do you even know why?
An active retina or a lie?
Do your research, do it right
Hopefully you too will see the light...

Retina Picture
The surgeons took a photograph
And saw her killer pictured there,
Imprinted on her retina:
The Ripper’s face upon her stare.

*People used to believe that the last thing a person saw before death was imprinted on the retina and this was tried in the Jack the Ripper case – I just imagined if it had worked…

For Deb’s ‘What do you make of this?’ contest (the eye picture)...

Mystic Mood Metamorphosed
wet warden whirring
like lusty figs
tainted passions puking
ignited by breaches
bounty break dance
then leery lance

rusty retina smirking
elated by blushes
birthed per pulses

felon fingers fiddling
hoisted hands filled:
rusty retina's ripped

mystic mood metamorphosed
pupiled-retina gulped gore.

Traveling Light
Unburdened by mass,
star born
photons
hurtle
through vacuum voids.

They reach a planet
where green continents swim
in blue oceans.
It is night. A woman
looks up at the sky.

The photons travel
through the gelatinous matter
of her eye and die
on her retina,
sparking electric pulses
that race
along the optic nerve,
and her miraculous brain
translates:
I see a star....

Luxurious Life Dries the Humane Tears
rain lives
in the womb of clouds

black and white clouds
flying over the sky crowd

the sun
on its orbital path as usual

but parched bone
feels the sun hottest

I, the cruel people
kill thousands flora and fauna

luxurious life
dries fully the humane tears

now there is no coolness
in retina, visual cortex, optic nerve of the earth...

Always On My Mind
Time runs through the routine
day and night ordinary happens
my useless memory proceeds
your presence on my retina

You were always pilgrim and distant
my uncertain steps sans hope
dream of you beside is my fate
eternal dream dweller persistent

How many papers written in vain
unconfessed times paralyzed
memory of moments of pain

your eyes, lips, were glorified
my senses now deadened
portion are dry, portion strong rain...

A Pearl
Circular and square. And a little glimmer
Of peace -
Or agony.

Cool beneath the waters. A small touch
Of green -
Or sunny coral.

Clanking in mine ears -
But beauty in these eyes -
Through cornea and through
…Retina.

A painfully perfect tube is drilled - the long days
Pierced as if a sharp stare of a swordfish
Glare.

And a breath-taking fibre passes through the
Scar…and the blood covered by a glistening
Price sign....

My Love
I've found someone to be with
Not knowing much about her desire
My retina and lens get weak when I saw her

I'm distracted when she's staring at me
Her voice defeats my utricus
I always feel loved at her smile

I uttered my love to her
She shunned all my intended feelings
When I confront my love to her

She makes me feel grief and animosity
And my love to her will never vanished
Until she realized the fact and feel sympathy...
