Jack Horne Poet Rhyme

Retina Picture

The surgeons took a photograph
And saw her killer pictured there,
Imprinted on her retina:
The Ripper’s face upon her stare.

*People used to believe that the last thing a person saw before death was imprinted on the retina and this was tried in the Jack the Ripper case – I just imagined if it had worked…
