Always On My Mind

Time runs through the routine
day and night ordinary happens
my useless memory proceeds
your presence on my retina

You were always pilgrim and distant
my uncertain steps sans hope
dream of you beside is my fate
eternal dream dweller persistent

How many papers written in vain
unconfessed times paralyzed
memory of moments of pain

your eyes, lips, were glorified
my senses now deadened
portion are dry, portion strong rain

Hello Alaka, always on your mind. These must have been special memories, that you ponder. Your last verse for me is sad. Salute Darlene
