Pushy Broad
She was a mean pushy broad
Who thought bullying was a reward
Until she met her match
When she was slapped then snatch
On-lookers then stood and applauded...

In Love
In Love

Gushy mushy sexy face
Pushy pully silky lace.

Hints droppin, questions poppin

Ooey, gooey time flew by
Munchin slurpin warm apple pie.

Willy nilly wander gone
Warm and fuzzy web is spun....

Donald was born with life cushy
It’s known that he can be pushy
Expect this bully
To grab for things wooly
Like a fine pussy that’s bushy

Premium Member Here Comes Mrs Delightful
She is pushy and wants her own way; not delightful at all.
She wears peacock feathers and dresses up like a distorted doll.
She is critical of others when they have any kind of ball.
We run from her swiftly when we see her come down the hall....

Mind murky mists
Gain grumpy gist

Waltz welcomes walk
Trite tempers talk

Limping loads loud
Petty points proud

Dizzy day drowns
Feel fancy frown

Fleeing first flight
Pushy play plights

Pushy people-person, little silver fish
Inspiring idealist, with an iridescent swish
Swimming up the river, flowing all the way back down
Colour loving creature, too deep and you will drown
Ever-seeking others, happy in the shoal
Stop and think, when on the brink, are you happy in your goal

My Cori-O
There is a rodeo and
there are cheerios,
my dog is a corgi-o.

He is always wanting
something and I say,
o what do you
want now, so I let him out.

He will be outside
and he barks to come
back in, I say o Murphy
make up your mind.

He will paw me
once again I say
listen here you
little o corgi
stop being o so pushy.

Premium Member Mud Daubers Unwelcome
Hornets came flying in from all directions
Skidding to a stop, showing no kinds of affections.

They filled the kitchen, they filled the hall.
The wasps joined them and had a ball.

The mud daubers heard and tried to crash.
Which was truly pushy and rather rash.

A fight ensued, they stung each other almost to death.
I heard this account from my curious cousin Beth....

Premium Member Make Up New Words Without a Care
Thunder gas pushy pals.
Wonder mass cushy gals.
Under crass gushy owls.
Sunder lass mushy fowls.

Yes poetry is a play of words.
Sometimes funny, other times absurd.
Whispered sweetly, gently overheard.
On wings of faeries or tiny birds.

Gobbly wobbly grizzly bear.
Sobbily dobbily crizzly share.
Making up new words without a care.
Creating a missive, easy to share....

I Ask You, Sir
Apr 2012
Chennai

I ask you, sir!
Of late, inanimate
Toothless, tethered
Can’t jump turnstiles

     "Agree, align"
     "Ask, but smile"
Mute, asinine

     "Uncalled, unnice"
     "Pushy, out-of-style"
You know, I’m fine

      "A wish, undone"
      "Exit, condone"
      "Look back, smile"

      "Unearth, sift"
      "Write," but why?
Unbonded, servile

Alive, a life
…Sad, demise...

Premium Member Each Poem a Gateway
Wind can be a bit pushy
at times
Though I would be first
to admit
of needing nudges in different
directions

inclined to linger too long
under shady canopy

or at the seashore
gazing off into dreamy
horizon

my mind inclined toward
repainting sunsets
rearranging stars into
unique constellations

or writing poetry
strictly for sojourners

each poem a gateway
to ports further unknown...

Mrs Broccoli
The broccoli was quite bushy,
and always pretty pushy.

At times she became mushy
with her friend Mr. Sushi.

She always felt lonely,
missed her one and only.

They used to be quite the bunch,
when they gathered at lunch.

He suddenly wilted and died
for many days she had cried.

She now found her only squeeze
for she had met Mr. Cheese.

She always loved to be tossed
in his very special sauce....

Premium Member Talked Into Watching Drag Races
Drag racing is fun my pushy neighbor said, pleading.
I did not dare go, myself always caught speeding.
I could picture myself in one of those bashed up cars.
Smashed up and injured, later maybe behind jail bars.

She coaxed and persuaded, and took me any way.
Watching three red Ferraris wreck kind of made my day.
I have no idea why, but this wild drag racing madness is fun.
Please tell me why you think this is if you ever go to one....

Premium Member Joe Where Have You Gone
Joe, where have you gone?
Why?
What are you doing?
With whom?

I have to quit kicking myself.
I am sure it is nothing I did.
Except…..
I start making a list of my faults now.

I am too pushy
Too needy
Too assertive
Too opinionated

Stop me! I scream to my inner knowing.
She laughs; understanding where we are going.
Full circle back to the beginning of course.

Joe, where have you gone?
Why?
What are you doing?
With whom?...

She Came In Life, Bend I Had To
It’s not my wont ever to yield,
To understand her I had to.

A few things are not in one’s hand,
Spoil this pushy friend I had to.

She came as if from nowhere-land,
My set ways to bend I had to.

I had always walked my own ways,
But the way she wend I had to.

I never liked cats in my life,
On seeing her mend I had to.

First Spring Eulogy
They flocked into town.
Loud, Pushy, Laughing
They left their Tropics
To celebrate the Great Fest,
Banqueted by Instinct.
Mashing and gulping sour
Red and Purple bits,
Juice dribbling sticky
Down their Breasts,
They stumble about,
From one hung over bar,
      To
             Another.
Each drink Drives them
                                       Farther until,
One
    By
       One
They drunkenly Crash to their Deaths
In the Windows we use
To View Them....

Draining the Reserves
I used to be much nicer.
I once was really sweet.
I’d smile at every stranger
I’d cross paths with on the street.

But as I’ve aged, I’ve noticed
All that charm in my reserves
Has evaporated, since so many
Folks get on my nerves.

Like the pushy, the obnoxious,
Those too loud or dense or rude –
They’ve demolished my demeanor
And displaced my attitude.

There’s a reason older people
Turn cantankerous and cross
For experience drains patience,
Which is everybody’s loss....
