Each Poem a Gateway

Wind can be a bit pushy
at times
Though I would be first
to admit
of needing nudges in different
directions

inclined to linger too long
under shady canopy

or at the seashore
gazing off into dreamy
horizon

my mind inclined toward
repainting sunsets
rearranging stars into
unique constellations

or writing poetry
strictly for sojourners

each poem a gateway
to ports further unknown

- A new poem often turns out to be different from what you had in mind ... the path is unknown before you take the first step :) - A wonderful poem :) - Nice to see you back, Joe :) - hugs

Hi Lisa; miss all of you and your fine poetry. I will try to pop in from time to time, but I have another project, a novel going on, and it takes most all my writing and reading attention, not leaving me much left for anything else. It's an emotional story I need to tell. Thank you, Anne; blessings!

Hi SV. Sorry I missed this comment. I am working on a novel and it is taking all of my concentration, a different frame of mind than that needed for poetry I find. I've tried...but I can't seem to do the two together. Thank you my friend. Blessings.

Thank you, Joe: In case it has not become obvious about me by now, spirit is the only real I recognize -- the body-physical just a vehicle one uses to get around in this earth dimension. Blessings my friend.

We are having intense summer now. The very thought of sea breeze and shady canopy are so cooling. In such soothing ambiance, you are inclined to writing poetry. Each poem is a gateway opening to ports unknown. Lovely poem giving a beautiful glimpse of sunsets and starry skies

Thank you so much, Wen; I was younger, running a solo trunking business, I did not have time for lounging...now I don't miss any opportunity, though I do find myself feeling antsy -- difficult to break old habits.
