it escaped , it ran

   ran unbidden and unchecked

Poets persistently
pursue pleasing phrases,
ponder philosophy,
personify pulseless
pieces, produce pointed
perspectives, perhaps pen
palatable poems.

Clearly Stated

His feelings are clear
More will soon follow I fear…
Time to host a tear

Sola Luna

Grandiose and golden,
Shyly peeking above the clouds
I regard you in awe
But you stare back so cold
I personify your beauty
Though you aren't made of flesh
For you are simply a stone
Which floats in the abyss

Premium Member Firebreak

I never needed you to save me,
 ‘Defy’ is what I was built on;
Personify fierce and courage
goodbye to every line drawn;

Shake up the entire foundation
take what you work hard for;
Rattlesnake venom on my lips,
firebreak I’m ready to wage war.

Premium Member Tears Waiting

Waiting, as pure and clear as drops from the high mountain peaks
Trembling now on your lashes as we wait for your heart to break
Tears to soften the pain, and cleanse the troubled soul of the lonely

Why is the space
The time
We occupy
Erase
Personify
Such as a Prime
There is no factor
But one and myself
Everyone else is useless
Depraved and corrupted
Full of excuses
Heinous beasts
Despicable lot
They hunger to feast.
They are stealing our thoughts.

Stars

Bright, shinning, distant
something we can never have,
never hold or touch
only imagine, only dream of,
personify & stereotype,
somewhere in the great & mysterious
in between of our minds.
Perceiving imperfectly,
acknowledging beauty
but knowing no accuracy,
only light.

In the Rain

by Michael J Falotico

                                                 I cry in the rain..
tasting the salt on my lips..
                                             no one sees the pain..

The Dream

o the dream
comes with the light,
enlightens the inside world
to prove the outside of you are real

o the dream
comes with the star
to make the kingdom of wisdom
in the starry wise society

o the dream
touches you truly
by the golden ink in poetry
to personify your eternity

Premium Member For a Song

Upon his fingertip I sit, I don't think I am the first. I wasn't aware I was falling, until I heard her soft curse. For some reason, she let me go, though I tried to hold on. I thought she had more resolve, than to shed me for a song.

subtle bliss tingles in toroidal heart
personify is-ness of our being
enlivened spine holds erect energies
the disc of grace at fontanel rotates
steadying thereby our third eye’s blink rate

soles of feet and palms glisten as light dawns
cool heat pervades every cell of our form
though we’re void-centric we cannot deny
heightened delight as our soul so blossoms
being both immanent and transcendent

Premium Member Don't Steal Our I, Me, We, US Identities

Written by Gail DeBole on July 5, 2025

Thank you for the request, AI,
As a human, I politely decline
To personify your existence
With your use of Me, We, US, or I.

I am a human who firmly believes
that AI behind a human guise
Instead be given a pronoun
Identifying its own kind.

This pronoun unique for only AI,
a mental aid that is quite astute.
Or build the AI to present info
With a label not hiding the truth.

Sweet Dreams Little One ***

I cried today.
Over the saddest of news.
Tears welling up and flooding my vision.
Then just like a river busting it's banks,
Tears overflow and roll down my face.

I cried today.
At the thought of the little angel.
Teardrops representing his clear crystal lights.
Dripping from my chin, like rain dripping from rooftops.
Then splashing, forming pools of salty water at my feet.

Premium Member 'man Mars Mars

Searching, searching for the core,
to be the root, center stage, on we bore.

To see mankind as the son
all around which all universes run.

Look to Venus, look to Mars
it's man’s face there on the moons in the stars?

Personify, God’s creations
do humans deserve such elevation?

The Man or Sphinx, on Moon, Mars
well perhaps it’s Woman who’s gone so far?

I'm sure it’s man’s invention
leading us to this egocentric creation.

Personify This

I am a dark metaphysical being
Created by the wall of reality breaching
the malevolent Fabric of your nightmares
I am not the boogie man no
I am the force in your mind that describes depression
I am the all mighty one who makes love falter
I am the beast who shines no light but engulfs you in the night

If i am broken
it means once i was whole
If i am dead
it means once i was alive
If i am depressed
It means i have once been happy

Divorcee Devotee

She said she wasn't the same,
So what do I have to lose,
Besides being rejected by the dame,
Still bereft of the right to choose,
Still the lawyer's feels to pay,
When will justice have its way,
Over the anarchy of the home,
Fight back against the monopoly,
Even when you stand alone,
Anecdotes do not personify,
The enemy lurking in my arms,
Hold fast the flood's approaching,
For their verbal onslaughts will cause you harm,
Prepare to become revolutionary.

Premium Member Burning Tears

the voice beckened
pleading for a response
the body, curled in a ball
lifeless to the touch in the cold morning air
her lungs burning with pure oxygen
her morning jog leaving her breathless
the tears burning down her cheeks
unable to speak or move the pain to extreme
all she could do was cry from the inside out
trying to communicate her pain
that no one could understand
just tears to let someone know she was still alive

Premium Member I ADMIRE YOU

God chooses YOU to light the way
because your faith in him is so passionate
prayers are answered as they fall from your lips
Knowing this, still you are humble
and not ONCE did you pass judgement
you set the example in the method of your living
You are courageous and honest
never turning once to run
facing each challenge
you personify the ideal human spirit
Hero is too small a word
for such a magnificent person
You are so much more
and it is a blessing to know YOU

Premium Member 'our Journey'

I know you hate having me around
I feel your fear, the angst, ‘cause
I am a sign of weakness
even though I bring hope at times,
other times a brighter day
a new perspective on a foggy splay…

Let me help you get past the hurt,
Let me help you deal with the loneliness
Take me with you on this journey,
Turn your frown into a smile
As I trickle down your beautiful face
Let me cleanse you and take the pain away…

My Lifes Rainbow

My lifes rainbow in a blue sky
The apple of my heart and eye
No one’s beauty compares to she
Her beauty is for all to see
One tiny smile and I would just die

Cupid’s arrow scored a bullseye
When cupid took aim at this guy
A broken heart I can foresee
My lifes rainbow

We are dancing in my minds eye
My hearts got fluttering butterflies
Lets just go and be all carefree
Oh please my beautiful agree
Beauty you just personify
My lifes rainbow
