Poverty's not the man who suffers.
Poverty's not his life.
Poverty's just an empty wallet
that hugs his azz too light.
He stands out there all day
Strums the guitar for his pay
Your portfolio's grown fat
Put a couple bucks in his hat
It is in one's poverty of mind, heart, spirit and soul that one finds true wealth and a clarity of vision for the future.

The man who lost his money
got a horrible nasty shock
When the government called him homeless
and his money got to talk
Shri Lal Bahdur Shasthri,
Not only one time Prime Minister of India,
But also a PM since his birth,
PM,poor man,I mean!

The fork goes on the left.
The poor go on the streets.
And the crock sits on the table
when the date has blessed defeat.
Givers have many path ways
To walk a long
Holding the hands of recipients
To find more treasures
To make more payments
The fork goes on the left.
The poor go on the streets.
And the crock sits on the table
when the grape is pressed to treat.
THE UNTOUCHABLES
devalued dignity, dirty rags and odours
poverty driven humbled begging
Jesus touched and healed a leper
The habit mind
Is the holocaust
Of technology automating
Rational enlightenment
For the slavery of time
And poverty of creation
And don’t kill your children for fear of poverty
I give them and yourselves what you need
Killing them is a great sin indeed.
We get older
we learn more
we had enough of masked phases
true men are few
How ugly is poverty!
of humanity!!
Am I right?
Some keen to keep
The hunger
At the house
As their business
Hunger based
entrench

War-weary world
Sad, silent, suffering
Poverty, People perish
Destruction Despair, Death
Peace perfect peace
Live, love life!
Money slipping
Fast as sand
Where did it go?
Do not know!
Spend, spend, spend some more!
And to lend? Below poverty poor!

An albertine goodbye
a delicate petalled rose
flutters slowly from on high,
upon the green sward,to lie-
dying without a sigh
My Yuletide joy is
To feed poor and hungry ones
Come in from the sleet
The parents humbly thank God
Children sing the song Noel
Flour and oil are running out
So are bread and butter
It’s been one pestilence of drought
Which causes wizened grass to flutter.
Miniature Edens. Regularly insular
but small hopes can't be
everything in poverty.
Big brains flee from atrophy.
