In the Rain

by Michael J Falotico

                                                 I cry in the rain..
tasting the salt on my lips..
                                             no one sees the pain..

Your Haiku reminds me of a dialogue in a movie: This beautiful woman says: "I am sad when it rains..." He answers: " It rains Because you are sad..." It's so refreshing to see a man so sensitive and expressive. (I mean You, Michael)

what a very sad write, Michael-- but yes I think a lot of people can relate to this, although I would like to think that heaven sees that pain...that's why it's crying in the first place, to cry with you? Very moving entry for the contest, really like this one & I sure do appreciate your enthusiasm over my baby pics ^_~ -- thank you!! & another set of thank you's & hugs for my wonderful placement in your contest :D honored to be among your winners :)

Good one...Reads like a winner if entered in the contest about tears..Thinking that one is hidden but there is Friend Who Stickest Closer than a brother who bottles those tears..Thanks for letting me know of my place in your contest...I know that it is not easy to chose winners for the contest when so many good entries are placed in the contests..Sara

This reminds me of 'Cryin in the Rain' by Whitesnake. In cry emotional drown. It's powerful for a short piece Michael. Nice one my friend. Music resonates through my poetry, as I feel your words do also. Have a lovely weekend....:) smiles

Most of us do choose to hide our feelings, Michael, and this is a very touching haiku. Sometimes the sun comes out and your eyes are still red. Best wishes in the "tear" contest with your heartfelt and poignant poem. Love, Carolyn

Another week has come and gone and I haven't been able to read as much this week as I had wanted. I am glad I was able to read your poetry today Michael. Keep your pen scrolling don't let the ink dry up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend of sunshine and joy and find lots of inspiration along the way. Love, Carol
