Deep down in the Wild Wood
An empyty mansion stood-
Stoats & weasels squatted there for nowt,
Ratty,Mole & Badger with a loud shout
Helped careless Toad to kick them out....

The Flares
I'm done. Again.
But this time it's true,
release the life raft,
there's no hope of rescue.
Though I see the flares shot
to beckon me home,
nowt seems more becoming
than sailing alone....

No night iz, under moons that drip,
in too rotten boxes, and scurrying bones
that trip blind rats, the spilt wine Red,
reflects the centuries,
you rise, immortal again,
yet the shadow dissolves at dawn ....

Sitting On the Staircase
I'm sitting on the staircase waiting here,
just waiting hoping time will pass by me,
until your key unlocks my heart with cheer.
I'm sat here watching spaces with nowt to see,
and dream that you will come and hold me near,
for with my darling close then I am free,
in love that sings your name I long to hear....

Premium Member Do Nowt Till Later Date
Earth’s future is at stake
So meet at Sharm-el-Sheikh,
Where details we debate
About warming climate.
Vague promises some make
On action they may take
Some time at later date
To control climate fate.
Past agreements some break
And their figures seem fake.
So much for world debate.
Do nowt till later date....

Positively negative
Casts nowt, but gloom
No matter how bright the sun
Gave her some sunshades
And told her the world was black
Her black became white
Where then she surprised us all
With a huge smile on her face

Dyed In the Wool
There’s nowt so canny and nowt so deep
As the musings of the highland sheep
They’ll talk of this and talk of that
Of what they ate and where they shat
Or ponder on life’s mysteries
Like, is the grass beneath the trees
Much finer than the one that grows
Down beside the old hedgerows

If I Could
If I could write a poem I would
but I doubt if it would be much good.
I can’t wax lyrical and shout
of virtues I feel nowt about.
I need to have something to say
regarding love,
or in some way
on need and longing
or want and wronging.
Things about a heart’s complaint
and there ain’t
a lot of rhymes
for sorry....

Sheep In Thought
There’s nowt so canny and nowt so deep
As the musings of the highland sheep
They’ll talk of this and talk of that
Of what they ate and where they shat
Or ponder on life’s mysteries
Like, is the grass beneath the trees
Much finer than the stuff that grows
Down beside the old hedgerows

Love On Fire
Each beat resounds your precious name,
this heart it bears nowt' but a flame.
A single glint like candlelight
burns alone morning to night.
My wish, our flames to burn united,
a fire of passion soon ignited.
My world it burns the fires doth rise
through the sparks set in your eyes.
I stay alight for you in sorrow,
burning bright for our tomorrow....

A MILLION YEARS ON

Can you imagine in another million years, core drillers examining the earth crust,
and teaching that this was the 21st century, as we can see from the remains of plastic debris found within these layers of the earth's crust . . .

Self-worth was lacking
No silver or gold was found
Nowt' but cheap plastic

Smile for me

Premium Member Yes Minister
Time after time
He cooks pork pies.
Beneath each crust
Much fake meat lies.

Some folk believe
And ne'er get wise,
So know not what
He synthesise.

Others say nowt
But they suspect,
For their leader
They must respect.

And some have jobs
They must to protect,
So they pretend
That all's perfect,

Staying silent
On what they know.
Don't rock the boat
Or spoil the show....

Demise
They dwell
In regions dark beneath the surface of the Earth.
Where nowt of Adam walk or venture breath for fear
Of Satan and his ghastly peers.
The same who with delight had raised a million cheers
When Eve our source had sorely sought her pleasure
From that fatal tree
And on her ears fell stern cries of God
Be gone with ye.

They watch Earths
Faltering pallbearers of mediocrity and wait to strike....

The Worthy Engineer
They stormed the enemies gate, over hill and ditch they went,
Their valiant attacks made the enemy quake with fear,
Nowt was said of how they got there with all their gear,
No way could they have done it without the brave engineers,
Under withering fire they built bridges and roads,
So they could move fast, to win, with valiant cheer,
But nowt was said of the Royal Engineer.

I Am Dumb Perhaps Dumber
Lloyd and Harry, two dim witted men
they made me laugh, laugh, then laugh again
with their innocent acts
slapstick, gags and wisecracks
I love this movie, well now and then.

Nowt funnier than dumb and dumber
this great film makes me laugh and blubber
so fills my mind with glee
because they are like me
I'm stupid, but a lot chubbier.

One For Missy Aka Hungering
Streets are dead in many ways
as ever looms the reapers snare.
Those asleep have now arisen,
that vacant swarm with deathly glare.
A deadly tide of hungering souls,
for whom the church bell gloomingly tolls.
A windswept scape engulfed by death
and patrolled by corpse with stifled breath.
Tomorrow has nowt' but a bite,
an endless plight of fight or flight.
With future plagued my final sigh
succumbs to fates cold lullaby....

Help
Seriously contemplating calling it quits
Wanted to leave a mark to show I exist
(Not existed)
Have no (zip, nil nowt) ability to sell
Think there's a making of a novel in
combining stories written
Am brash enough to think a collection
(selection) of my works
Would be a profitable endeavor
Seriously contemplating calling it quits
Just an ol' dawg that won't turn a trick
Was that a bat or a late swallow
Pour me another...

Phrases
Phrases.

Well I never.
Eee by gum.
Well I go to the foot of our stairs.
Gan away wi yu.
And many more.

Are said, out door.
Quite a bore.
Up North.
Spoken with relish.
And verbosity.
Resound in the closetry.

Maybe they have nowt to say.
And these phrases make their day.
Maybe they never went to school.
Or learned what to say.
When you say them.
They make your day.

Boggle
Blow down the snozzle
this windy wild world
is nowt but a hornswoggle.

Giddy are the blue birds
in head and heart,
blithered are the bush-beating
snit-shifters.

A good day to die and live again,
a day for tripping a bright bombastic.
A yet better day
for some nonsensical boggle
that wags words in a
beery muddle.

Fluffy are the puffy footloose
that skip well over a plushy clover,
great the laughter of children
that dance in the minding eye
of an everlasting God today....
