Love On Fire

Each beat resounds your precious name,
this heart it bears nowt' but a flame.
A single glint like candlelight
burns alone morning to night.
My wish, our flames to burn united,
a fire of passion soon ignited.
My world it burns the fires doth rise
through the sparks set in your eyes.
I stay alight for you in sorrow,
burning bright for our tomorrow.

Early morning reading to get the mind buzzing. Thank you for sharing your excellent poetry Stephen. Have a fabulous weekend and I hope to see more of your poetry when I get back to the Soup Monday. Usually pretty busy on the weekends with family so don't get to read much. Love, Carol
