Dear Jack, just read the Dickinson poem and my interpretation of the message is "Look forward, don't be alarmed by ghosts (memories) of the past." I didn't get the feeling she meant a ghost literally, but it's all up to the reader's intepretation. Much love, Carolyn

Ah, how clever to pick the joker -- they're always wild and I love getting them when playing poker, Jack. Great entry for Paula's contest! Wishing you success. Also plan to mail that novel today if I can get out of here before the post office closes. I haven't forgotten. Needed to buy an envelope yesterday. Just been busy getting ready for my trip and with the health issues. You have a winner here, dear friend! Love, Carolyn
