Premium Member Misfit Figurine

Marvelous ancient music box,
prim guitarist on pointe shoes rocks;
A misfit figurine
not concerned how she’s seen;
Her erratic tempo is not Bach’s.

Premium Member She Danced

The flowers danced within the breeze
The music box dancer danced with ease
She danced and danced within his heart
For he loved her from the very start

Premium Member Music Box

A music box
is an angelic machine
that brings forth lyrical hope
slowly turning its golden key
among the darkness
enabling all to walk in it without fear

Premium Member Music Box Dancer

Piano softly played
Strokes the pain away
Tapping of the drum
Makes my heart young

Into the world of fantasy
Lay the inner dreams
Of my young heart
Play that song for me

Pirouettes

porcelain smile
painted red
ballerina pirouettes
sequined tutu glitters
as she twirls
to the tinkling

Premium Member Music Box Pops

Baby blue balloon,
     looks like a globe,
          topped
with a girly, pink bow.
       It’s floating up
   with pop music;
          with key tines,
     our hearts dropped.
The dulcet drum spins;
     the lyrics heat up.

Doll House

Doll house

Smoke came from the attic
the doll house was aflame.
Burnt down to ashes
as were the small figurine
that lived noiselessly
in childhood memories.
A casket
tiny music box had a dancer
buried
at the bottom of the garden.
Ashes to ashes.
Even memories will vanish.

Premium Member Music Box In the Rain

Sitting under a tree
while it's dark at three

Alone in the rainy storm with this music box
waiting for the sun to shine so opportunity knocks

Cranking the key to commence a soft song
in order to stay strong

Hours pass and the sun comes out
finally gaining the chance to wander about

Music Box

I have a music box,
Plays tunes of heaven,
Specially made box,
Decorated with fairies from Devon.

In my music box,
Lives a ballerina,
she spins and twirls,
Dancing to the magical sound.

My box is my magic,
Where an angels cry,
Is no more heard,
Then silence in the dark.

Music Box Love

I used to think that love happened in slow motion
With all the happy moments suspended in time
Then one day I realized the bad moments play even slower
A camera with shutter speed on its lowest setting
I wondered
Why do we watch out lives go by like this
Ballerinas dancing in a music box whose record is long broken

The Gift That I Give You Inspiration

The gift that I give you
is delicate and fine,
Miniature though marvellous
tinkering in time...

For you to dance,
For you to sing...

-Magic interlocks-

To surprise for ears and eyes
Wee little music box.

Remember if you're ever sad
Wind it up with care,
Enjoy the tune of sun and moon
With your teddy bear.

Tuned Strings

Guitar strings pluck tears
A pondering tune brings sorrow
My dandy tears fly
This tune attacks the morrow
When will the music box die?
I fly endlessly and confidently
I fear you what will happen tomorrow
I breathe in and out... grace showers upon me!
My sadness turns bright
Tune my gladness... I don't borrow
Your glorified might

A Matchbox In the Rain

Unprotected piece of a house
exposed to fierce drops of water
prone to melt away in mud
like a music box in a matchbox,
unbelievable and unnecessary
and yet there,
a dwelling of husband and wife
to nest and breed
their young
willing to go away
and build their own music matchboxes,
stronger and safer
yet still
exposed to the ruthless transparency
of falling water.

Should Have Said No

I locked the door
Spent couple of hours
Kept myself crying
Watching the night.

Played the music box
All lights were off
I felt the pain inside
It was beating me long.

Why would tears fall
For someone who is worst?
The world is too small
To find my half soul.

If I only knew
I should have said no
Heart won’t be miserable
If I didn’t choose you.

As the Light Faded

as the light faded
there stood I
there laid she
as the light faded
here we were
together fused
by love
fueled by lust
as the light faded
tempo slowed due to
sensual sounds
from the music box
everything to be very simple
bodies detailed totally
desires ached for
soothed internally
exotic explosions dreamt of
came to pass finally
as the light faded

Lullaby Music Box

Tender aged and very afraid of the dark,
Mom would comfort me with her soothing remarks,
night light bright,
still having fright,
she invested in a lullaby music box,

Lullaby lulls my grandson to sleep today,
helps him fall asleep after he prays,
the beautiful tune,
fills his bedroom,
feeling like Mom never went away.

Premium Member The Distracted Walking Law

Listen to poem:
No walking while distracted - that's the law
Don't leave the kerb and step under a bus
Don't oggle that hulk, nor admire that chick
Keep all eyes on the road
No rocking along to music box
No whistling or humming allowed
No eating a burger while strolling
No admiring the view or star gazing
No distracting thoughts either
Why Oh Why is it chicken now,
   to cross the road!

Praying in the Golden Temple

The slots spin,
the casino’s siren song
bellows its flashy music-box tune.

Click, click, click….

O so close!

“It’s not gambling,” she says,
“it’s just a half-assed prayer
we ritually repeat to a sleeping deity.
one that doesn’t like germy fingers
poking at her all night.

Don’t forget to wash your hands,
they provide restrooms,
for when we are tired
of crapping out
on the craps tables.”

Music Box

Ballerina prisoner figurine
Such beauty locked away
Only dances
When she sees the light of day

But, in my mind
Her twirls are reminiscent
Of forgotten memories, round and round
Stirring music weighs

So, I hide her still
Under key
And silence
Hoping she is forgiving

Until a fondness of providence is found
That soon soul will awaken
Her gracefulness hopes of ironies
O' may she dance her way back among my living

Spirit Dancer

An artiste gently touching
In windswept circles

Painting
Imaginary wet pictures

Further, hearts afire
Sets free

A swan's grace
Life's caricature
An eagle higher soaring
A floating feather to be

Above the worlds
Of dancer's floors

Where in envy
Spirits follow
Soft subtle breezes

Unto whirlwind
Into afterglow
You lead the body

All other worlds
Are left behind

And Pandora's
Music box
Resurrected...
Comes to life

Ocean Beauty

The soundly splash of water
Sprinkled waters under the sun
The taste of saltwater
Huge waves spoke its depth
The voice of abyss
Seems to be a music box
Gradually changes it color
Deep blue till it’s green
Warm turns to cold
Changes temperature every time
But the beauty remains
Gives a safe sound each time
The wind from the sea
Corals at the seashore
The ocean deep scenario
Scented with God’s love and grace
