When Mothering Day comes on Sunday
We all want to make it a fun day.
We all love our mum,
She's who we came from,
Though she sends us to school on a Monday!...

Mothering Sunday
Mothering Sunday
old men weeping, daffodils
at the graveyard gate
sons and daughters, motherless
everyone somebody's child

Mother's love
Studying her children attentively,
mothering comes at ease
navigating each day
like a hot knife through soft butter,
strict discipline,
boundaries, nurture

Mothering bull
Is finally over and the

We will all be living in cyberspace
And I will work
As a spaceship pilot

Jesus To His Mother
There stood by the cross Mary his mother,
the disciple he loved, standing beside her.
“Mother here is your son.”
“John, please care for my Mum.”
So Jesus commended each to the other.
For Mothering Sunday
John 19.25-27...

Mother -Ever She Embraces Us
Mother -Ever She Embraces Us
My Mother I love
Care taking and mothering
Two calm hands She has
And two quiet arms as well
She embraces us

The Lingering of Longing and Life
'Neath nocturnal bloom
the essence of self
dwindles in a pillowed horizon
twilight dies a whisper -
your voice in my ear…
the pale goddess rises
mothering angel’s tears
tending till dawn
a moon garden vigil
bearing witness to your visit...

Chin Taken
Salt
flavours
the
stench
of death
Light speaks
with the spaces
lets define the light of speed
Taste the air
as smoke and mist mate
Listen listless lists the list
The sound mothering words
in the echo caverns of within
Screaming from the unheard din
of flesh parcelled bone
each must call his own...

Precious Principalites
Rejoice
Rejoice
REJOICE
Furiously French Kissing
therapeutic telescopes
with overly open eyes
Dance
Dance
DANCE
Helplessly hip thrusting
Music Made by Mothering instincts
And eccentric emotions
Restrain
Restain
RESTRAIN
How sweet to see the sun
In glory freshly learned
But precious potential pleasure
Leaves every eye burned...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
(Apropos Of Mother, Aunts, And Our Sister)
God not only gave us Mother,
He also gave us her Sisters, too:-
All praises be to God for giving us
Mother Dear, her Mothering Sisters,
And our beloved elder Sister, too:
Happy Mother’s day to them all;
Resting together with dear God
In Mothering peace and love:-

Mother Day
Many a tears for your children you've shed
Only you fully understand that love is yours
Tears are not only for sadness but for joy
Healing the pains and wiping their tears
Everything that you do can be unrewarding
Remember nothing can replace your love
Death cannot break that mothering bond
Anyone can be a mother but you are mines
Yes I am proud to have you for my mother...

Impersonal
Whey faced and ashen
Trouser leg rolled up
Jagged shinbone jutting
With a ragged grin.
Words tumbling
From a mouth
Shocked and numb
Sitting stiffbacked
In the dentist's window
Facing the street
Two women busy
Mothering the casualty
Until the ambulance.
Outside unrelenting
Lay the pavement
On a freezing Friday
Ice glinting coldly
And unconcerned.
Inside an old soldier
Never before
Brought low in battle....

Breaking Away
Blue,
Cold,
and Wet crashes against Stone.
smooth,
strong,
unmoving Stone cradles Blue in its mothering bosom.
Cloud,
independent in its constant transition,
mocks Cold from above a cliff.
Cold,
defiant, yet afraid,
whispers desire to Stone.
Voice cracks Stone’s beautiful exterior;
threatening lingering stains like a blackberry against a pristine white sheet.
Wet licks Stone’s cracks promising it will never leave....

Winging- a Duo-Rhyme
I feel so blessed to view the sky,
To watch God’s majestic birds fly;
To hear them wake, begin to sing,
Then leave their tree limbs on the wing.
As winter season turns to spring
Mating birds hunt for twigs and string
To build a nest for mothering.
Soon what joy little eggs will bring
When these new fledglings learn to fly
And leave their wing prints in the sky.
*The Duo-rhyme was created by the late Mary L. Ports...

Mothering
Listen to poem:
Chaos reigned in our house
when the girls were small.
Daddy worked long hours and
was often not there at all.
When their cantankerous hour
arrived between six and seven.
One on my back, one on my front,
praying to heaven.
As I tripped over toys
left after bath time joys.
Now all is sane,
I have my house back again.
No tears, no tantrums,
hair extensions or scattered clothing.
What I miss most
I must admit is mothering.

Mama Put 3
From buka to butry to batcher to barrow
Mothering many they will never know
Feeding the ever growing population
Even men have joined to meet the need
They site at points easy to reach
They are even mobile to reach all
To sustain humanity they can reach
Playing Vishnu in the theatre of fun
Some grow to restaurants and lounges
Available to all social classes of human
Serving the same function to always support
Feeding humanity as an obligation chosen...

Mothering
Mothering
A small piece that builds up a past
Past residency that creates anger and vexation
True example of free independence and love
Belonging to genuine DNA to distant relatives
Caring for a companion, words, and faith
Desperate for a better tomorrow because the fear of no more days
No heir to take up empty places
Just wanting to see a self portrait of an ideal person
Stuck in a world of full of spring poppies
Warm weather is what kept a whole hearted me...
