The Lingering of Longing and Life

'Neath nocturnal bloom
the essence of self
dwindles in a pillowed horizon
twilight dies a whisper -
your voice in my ear…

the pale goddess rises
mothering angel’s tears
tending till dawn 
a moon garden vigil
bearing witness to your visit
