Flowers On the Tree

Vibrant flowers bloom
Across the old mango tree
Teaches a lesson
That youth blossoms from the old
Yet the old are the sweetest

Please Do It Again

"Ucle," Joe said: "did you feel no pain
Falling from that mango tree?
Would you do it, please, again,
'Cos my brother here didn't see."

Without Any Regret

When I turn to dust,
I don't wish to cry or be angry
I desire to fertilize the mango tree
                 going to fruit mango...!

Parrots In a Mango Tree

Parrots on a branch up in mango tree

Red rose Julie hangs behind green leaves

Eyes on the prize beaks and tongues adore

Who’ll taste it first before it ripes and fall

Patient Love

watching
the eyes of
wisdom
through
blind alley of
warm love
we are under
the
mango tree
sore tissues of
contractility
rain drops
are
honey coated
crystals
fundamental
of everlasting
love is
patience

Hillbilly Poet

On top of old mango tree
Climbing high, wild and free
High above the mountain top
Wishing signal would not flop

Writing my poetry
On top of old mango tree
While the skies up above
Lauding the courage I have

Love Is Near Most

leaves of the mango tree
blow the breeze

leaves of the rose tree
blow the fragrance

passerby
going and coming
with fragrant lee

a flower
smiling with its beauty

as if a love
is near most the heart
only

The Goatherd

Under the old mango tree
The goatherd is a young lady
Holding cane with her right
The sun is shining very bright

Herds of goats, she got plenty
Eating grasses, wild and free
Grasses young, grasses old
To the goats, they are gold

Dog Two

My dog just spoke of a land he knew
But feared he'd never see
He spoke of things that made him laugh
We were under a mango tree
He got up real quick to do a jig
With a tiger who was his friend
They spun around and jumped a lot
But the dance it had to end.

Weather Forecasters

The Sun ruling the regions,

A set of Pigeons-

Resting on my mango tree,

Investing time,two,three,

On wings fast like a Jet,Pigeons,

Before my eyes opening,

Leaving surprise at me,

Dark clouds came soon,

It rained and rained without telling noon!

Cicada Rendezvous

the
cacophony
of cicada chirpings
dies down into the stillness of the night.

as
yonder
the giant mango tree
sits still on its own dark-green shadow.

now
a silhouette
of a scarf, white, waving
from an unseen hand assures him...

... she has kept her word!

On Top of a Mango Tree

Upon a hill, on top of a mango tree
There I wrote my poetry
Under the scorching sun that pierces the leaves
Trying to dig the thoughts under my sleeves

Sky was blue and wind was high
All around, the wild bees fly
The birds sang a melody
Like a sublime rhapsody

Cicada Tryst

..the cacophony
of cicada chirpings
died down into the silent
stillness of this
sultry night

..and over there
where the giant mango tree
sat still on its own
vast, dark-green
shadow

..a silken silhouette
of a white scarf slowly waving
from an unseen hand,
at long last, assured me
..she had kept her word.

The West Indies

I am from the West Indies

where we always have frest

breeze coming from the cool

blue seas. I am from the West

Indies, where fruits are free you

can get lots to eat under

the mango tree.
I am from the West Indies where

people do not freeze, so if you like

you can come, you will have, so much fun.

   In The West I NDIES.

The Mango Tree

I'm proud of my life,
and all what iam,
the friend of every one.

I just stand on the way,
and attract every thing,
the birds and the flies.

Really am the boss,
who can't struggle a lot
to get what to eat.

When rain falls,
all the flying birds,
use me as a shade.

I'm proud of my life,
i can't get sick,
years and years.

Slip of Tongue

I keep secrets
like other old people
always do

In my brown eyes, they borne
the stirs and sighs of all the things
I was entrusted, yet today…

this great excitement I felt
betrays my eyes, revealing
the discrepancies of my shadow

as I tried to snatch the trust
of a bird, playing “love me or love me not”
‘neath the healing mango tree

Not Laughable

A king had all the food at his table
somewhere in modern Africa
power to feed kingdom he had
red hunger came flying in as vampire
subjects wept calling for rescue
children were little flesh-less cartoons
but the king laughed and told them
“Go, eat mangoes in bushes if hungry”
An obedient pregnant mother of five
climbed mango tree to pick food
Lo! she fell down dying instantly!

A Visit To the Garden

Rustling leaves whispers something
Grasses on the ground kiss my foot
The cool breeze hastens the buds to bloom
Buds adore it and bloom earlier
Flowers shake their heads,smile blissfully,
Spread fragrances to gather my attention
The mango tree vigorously waggles branches,
tries to shower the ripened mango fruits
Seem they are all happy about one thing
. My visit to the old home garden

Mango Love

Come to me,
My mango,
Darling!
My love,
Sweet are your juices,
Deliciously good,
Taste!
From your valentine,
Savoring divine,
Ripe and yellowish,
Your flesh!
Passionate,
Our times!
Kisses like wine,
Symbolizing,
Healing!
Sacred my tree,
King of all fruits!
Flowering
Beauty to me,
Take me!
To the garden’s edge,
Feasting!
Desiring to eat,
There I will dance,
My darling!
Mango tree!

Summertime

Sitting in the shade of a mango tree
Under ripe and full fragrant fruits
Mellow breezes willow and gentle
Make the skirts on the line scuttle
Every soul in the forest is alive in glee
Rifling leaves fall onto the grassy ground
The sun is brilliant gaily shinning on smiling faces
Inside the shade taking in cool fragrant wind
My body lay in the grassy field gently
Entering stasis in the ambience of the gods

A Reason For What To Write

Today, the weather seems composed and swifts have a reason to drift
Leaves have fallen from yesterday's rains but brought less disgust
There is a green slowly clothing the earth,
A hive of sweet-minty little thoughts and a reason for what to write...
Love and life are buds grafted from the same bark
Your love is but a mango tree that flowers twice a year
Thank you for stepping into my eyes
I love you Luche.

Sullivan

Sullivan, my pet ghost
Lives in my mango tree
Loves cottage cheese
Plays chess with me
Always loses game

He loves my cat Betty
A Felix parabolus
Who has long ears
Hears distant sounds of rats
She also loves Sullivan

One day they vanished

I have no mango tree any more
We take neither fish nor dairy products

A spook and a cat
strange bedfellows

Dr, Ashfalt has invited me
To write a thesis on Katzegeistung
At Hogwarts University.

I Lay Myslef Down

I lay myself down on a mat tired
under a cool mango tree shade
watching birds up in the branches
whispering to one another
sweet words of love
singing heart-breaking melodies.
Lost in a forest of imaginations,
sleep came and took me away
to her beautiful home of flowers
A young boy came playing
and placed his doll on my chest.
Up into the air I jumped-
yelling and scratching my chest,
thinking it was a big reptile
that had kissed my chest
with a cool tickling tongue
