Let There Be Light
God, in the time before time,
Jittery, alone and bored,
Made this poor world in the dark,

And with these four words infused it with life.

Premium Member June Waves
June sound waves are breathtakingly glittery. Waves build avid foam on sandy coasts till blistery. Avian creatures while they slumber, are still jittery   While the blossoming flora spreads its mystery. Anemones and coral reefs show Earth's history.

Premium Member Turbulence
Listen to poem:
It’s time to sleep
and yet
my hyper mind races
refusing to settle
a whistling pressure cooker
a jittery volcano
ready to explode
I take a deep breath
and then another
and another
turbulent seas
finally settle
finding their way
to serenity

I Want To Write
I want to write
And I cannot in the daytime

I find myself confused
As if my mind has been bruised

I stutter in the night
And I am jittery when I fight

Yet I try to write
When everything is bright

I find myself in the night
Even if it takes all my might

I’m at peace in the dark
Within sight of my mark.....

Why Cry
Why cry?

An overwhelming urge to cry,
The reason? I’ve no idea why
Jittery fluttering in my gut
A tension building inside, but
What is the reason? still no clue
Am I losing control? what to do?
Just let it out, the tension will go
It came and went, why? I don’t know
Could it simply be just me?
Or is it caused by PMT?...

Jove's Jumpy Jets
purpl'd eyes heaven
with tongue cloven
met mystic malady
embroidered ensconced epilepsy
dripping damped desires
jittery earth admires

saline liquid loitering
deflowered dusts damping
scrunched sans spooky

moistened mists melt
Jove's jumpy jets
twain trailed crest

dull disease dances
later lost traces

Premium Member Auntie Ruth
Jittery and panicky is her truth.
A spinster who laughs harder than mothers,
She is my father’s cousin, Auntie Ruth.
Much more dazzling than lots of others.

Some say she is peculiar and can say-sooth.
She is insane, laughs some of my brothers.
She is hilarious to me, most uncouth!
I love her better than pretty much all of the others....

Love's Dominance
A shiver down the spine,
Stomach squirming in jittery nerves,
It lives.

With a mind of its own,
You feel the burn, white hot,
Racing through your blood.

Frightened of being consumed,
How can one withstand,
Unbearable magic meant for the hands of the gifted when we are not?

Say words, cast your spell,
And watch as all attempts at alteration fail,
For love is boundless....

The Flattered Is the Battered
I hold it quite tattered
To have someone flattered,
All the time, some John mattered:
Such Johns are soon scattered!

Many still call me 'Prof',
Thank God some would just cough,
Saying it in a voice rough
Shows of being The Gruff...

Then failed is flattery
And charged my battery
While I dare mystery
Far from the jittery...

Then, the oft flattered
Is the oft battered....

Premium Member The Mind
(Written on 3/31/93, age 12)

It was the strangest thing,
But still quite extraordinary.
I faintly heard an eerie sound
Somewhere hidden
In the shimmering stars,
By the glistening moonlight.

Spinning and jittery,
Getting higher and higher,
I peer through my imagination.
There I feel strange and awkward
Between the sunbeam.

Polished like silver
I get swept away
To an enchanted land....

Premium Member Everyone Wanted Morganna For Their Updo
Morganna was the quintessential beautician for sure
every bride wanted her on their wedding day
she was booked in advance, her motives were pure
the trick is to make their updo a bit messy, a fly away

the other beauticians did not know what she meant
She showed them how to do wedding day hair
They did not work on brides, worked on Lee and Kent
happy to not be involved in bridal jittery feelings that flair...

Spring Panorama
Azure streams silted with cotton bows
Green, svelte carpet spreads below
Silken florets on tawny branches glow
Yellow daffodils cloak the meadow row
Purple violets' royal fabric vaunted hills hallow
On servile plain, feathery dandelions spread umbrella
Along hedge rows, creamy honeysuckles with sweet dew flow
In dense, brown brush; fledgling chicks from saffron gapes bellow
On the forest floor; jittery, gray squirrels deplete nutty escrow...

Premium Member Footprints In Time
Two taps in an oval, ceramic mold
(time pause of my playful, jittery tot)
were set to dry and decorated bold,
placed with care in a rustling garden plot.

Fresh blooms surround, abounding with vigor
like children's laughter, sunshine's pulse and rain.
His feet fast extend, toes growing bigger,
yet small remain his precious footprints twain.

I Am the Caterpillar of the World
I am caterpillar of the world
fat, jittery, itchy and feared
I have eaten all green leaves
crops, grass, foliage I chew

Wasteland weeps behind me
people curse wherever I go
but they have no business
interfering with my dining gardens

Things they claim are theirs
the rain my loyal servant
tells me it is still held up
beyond the skies

This makes me extra happy
let the deaf world shudder
Let the caterpillar be great
whether hated or loved I am...

Premium Member 'hello Chris' - Dash Or No Dash
Anxious looks and sweaty palms I am sure there is no need for qualms This man might be a mystery Surely there is no need to feel so jittery Eventually he showed up I was staring at him over my coffee cup Nowhere near to what I imagined My mom always said it’s wrong to sit and examine So tell me Chris, should I remove those dashes? Premium Member In the Moment
The plot thickens in a whodunit thriller
As I try to figure out who's the killer
Which character will be on the hook
As I turn the pages of my book

Each page turned unravels the mystery
Some of the suspects are getting jittery
Was it the butler of whom they were afraid
Or was it the beautiful buxom maid
I'm on the last chapter, but it's still not clear
But I'm in the moment, it's as if I'm there!

During War
During war folks don’t breathe with ease,
Kids don’t keep frolicking; they cease,
Haters of blood shed soldiers seize;
There’s caging in a once free breeze.

During war most men jittery,
Eyes on the doors of Eatery,
In hands spoons in mind butchery
Some granted favours Trickery
Easily seen Debauchery
Yet some actors for Bravery…

During war Hard Principles bend,
Murder and Rape some kind of trend
No new Robes; The old one you mend
One for oneself prefers to fend....

Trekking the Lane
Upward,high,I move.
Treading the weedy and filthy path.
Jittery,fear,have I at stake.
Stumps,rocky stones grace the way.
Sore feet,but I trek on.
Scorpions and serpents hate,
As their territory, I invade.
Tendrils, wild hemps lay as traps.
Fear not,say I to self.
Cracking toes weep for the heated earthen mud.
Fried, made crispy by the scorching sun.
Close by,is a cold stream,
there to calm my nerves.
Bejeweled with life's great tidings.
Now,dominate,enjoy,say I to self....
