In the Daze of the Dance Craze

I’d never seen a Fox Trot
      nor a Jittery Bug
   Though whenever I’d Twist
      in agony I’d Shout

But when a Hully became a Gully
and Monsters like Potatoes were Mashed
This Jerk got on his Pony ~
and Loco Motioned those Stoned Phonies

Lovely memories recalled. Especially the Locomotion. You’ve got to swing those hips now. Cheers, SuZ

Memories of old songs still alive within us. High school dances were the best. Too timid to ask girls to dance. Enjoyed this entertaining poem. Don
