A few dead geese too...

Price On a Jet Plane
Price On A Jet Plane

Sure wish we all could remain sane;
Price again was on a private jet plane;
Are cheaper ways,
They would amaze;
He should have taken a bus or a train.

Peter, Paul and -
She waves from the window of her plane
My sweet songbird takes her last flight
She will not come back to me again
My nightingale flies to the Light

Roosters squawk
Birds kee who
Jet plane roars overhead
Temporarily taking the stage
Tomorrow rain will come
Today it is just me and the outside
Almost silent
Roosters squawk
A lone car horn
Hilarious for no good reason....

Premium Member Autumn
Autumn flew in on a jet plane
Unusually prompt and precise
Turning back the heat of summer
Under September's sky
My reminder winter is nigh
November brings snow and ice.

Premium Member Lazy Porch Sitting On a Summers Day
jet plane
drills past
rambling sound

enjoying vegetation
I am tempted to jet nowhere
dog at my feet agrees
we are content

a lazy day
the only other sound is
a window air conditioner

helps my husband
keep the house
perpetually on freeze

why do you think
the dog and I are
out on the porch?

We are trying to warm up....

From a Distance
FROM A DISTANCE

Mighty engines are reduced to noiseless up high:

Jet plane like zipper across the blue evening sky,

The expanding contrail splits the violet canvas.

And night rushes into the black gap and the divas

Of the void of space, silent flecks of glory,

Vast nuclear furnaces, are reduced to pinpoints ivory....

Saturated, each
labored breath
holds the weight of
a jet plane,
rumbling through
closed bedroom doors,
booming with echos
down the hallway's
extension, unfaltering to
continuous clock ticks,
rattling with shouts
above the pounding rain,
penetrating through
cork canal barricades,
brazen and relentless
in the hour of rest.

Premium Member Autumns Cold Gray Sky
Sky as gray as fresh concrete. Cold like her too. Jet plane noise permeates
atmosphere, but we cannot see it yet. Plants are brown except for red sumac.
A flaming reddish blue, high class red. Winter is waiting in the clouds to be
summoned. Autumn sighs, not ready to relinquish her season.

			         autumns cold gray sky
		          her browning up is complete
		                  jet plane noise ahead...

A jet plane roars overhead.
People are in it but they are not talking.
Steadfuly perfecting the abnormal practice of
Ignoring each other.

Sure if there is a baby some are
Pretending to like it,
Others are irritated because
Hysterical crying may begin

The passengers are distant to each other,
Worse, pretending to be alone
Barely passing a drink, and certainly
Unhappy passing the debris back
After the snack.

Jet travel.
Not for me....

Premium Member The Wake
that balmy sky did everything it could
to try and draw our attention
clouds were discarded, rain postponed
we were busy with our final goodbyes

fine spirits melded with the past
revealing a serious lapse in character
the exhaust from a jet plane parted the heavens
sending thoughts and eyes skyward

personal conflicts nearly eclipsed
the sparkle of this one particular star
a celestial headstone that on this night
shined brighter than the rest...

A Mother's Love
Mum's love is brighter than the brightest star,
fuller than the local bar.
Longer than the world and back,
even bigger than a running track.
Much more faster than a big jet plane,
even clearer than the drops of rain.
Stronger than the strongest man,
wanted more than a summers tan.
Higher than the willow trees,
As helpful as your apartment keys.
More loving than a teddy bear,
Fresher than a juicy pear.
Deeper than the deep blue sea,
I know she'll love me for eternity....
