Autumn

Autumn flew in on a jet plane Unusually prompt and precise Turning back the heat of summer Under September's sky My reminder winter is nigh November brings snow and ice. written September 2, 2021 entered "Autumn Acrostic" Poetry Contest sponsored by Caren Krutsinger

Oh, well, I can wait, Delice. I do love the warm weather and autumn portends winter. I suppose we all like different times of the year, but give me spring! Thanks so much for your read and your thoughtful comment.

You can borrow it if you want. I won't mind. I know it is circling around in your brain!

I like this type of poetry. I often do it with my grandchildren's full names. Actually, quite fun. I enjoyed this one of yours in particular.

Thank you so much, Virginia. I like word play, and so, when I am searching for ideas, I will often turn to diamante or acrostics, although I really don't see them as genuine poetry. I know some would dispute that with me.
