Snoring
Saturated, each
labored breath
holds the weight of
a jet plane,
rumbling through
closed bedroom doors,
booming with echos
down the hallway's
extension, unfaltering to
continuous clock ticks,
rattling with shouts
above the pounding rain,
penetrating through
cork canal barricades,
brazen and relentless
in the hour of rest.
