blue jay’s blundering
Keeps the birds stirred up today
Blue jay rejection
Heart feels his loneliness
A social outcast myself
bold and beautiful
with loud shrills raising its crest
blue jay fights defends

He had an endearing, waggish way
Mischievous was my cousin Jay
Played tricks on me and my friend Kay
She is still smitten to this day
Jay’s jargon is jammed with jerky jammer
jiggery-pokery and jocundity. Jiggling joyous
joviality and jubilance, justifying Jay’s jollity.
Eurasian Jay says
much food in the right and left
Upthere so sweet fruits,
and neat pure water downthere
Thank you very much my God!
strident blazonry
sapphire plumage dipped in snow ~
blue jay on the wing

I'm big and bold and mostly blue
I can be heard from a mile or two.
I'll screech and yell and tell the tale
If you leave peanuts on the rail.
vibrant blue jay trills
of notes like jazzy rhythm--
amidst winter blues

Jay Leno is known for telling jokes
And gets applause from many folks
They always smile, they always grin
When he jokes about his massive chin
blue and white plume bird
black collar sumac shrieker
layer of green eggs

blue jay lands, perches,
tilt, rotate its head, scans round,
foraging; flies off.
hops upon wet grass,
finds wriggling earthworm, it pulls~
alert behavior
eyes squawk shadows deep
wings like blue water splashing
its rest seems fleeting

what stunning sight you are,
beautiful blue jay!
your wings carry you so far
you called but couldn't stay;
sad seeing you fly away.
pack of greedy jays
enjoy a feeding frenzy
thunder clouds gather

skilled blue jay at work
delicately weaves safe nest...
hidden acorns sprout
with wings on south wind
flies in azure sky with dreams…
empty nest crumbles
the jay
a crisp call
seeks the water
drinks fill in one sip drops
bluejay
each day
a crisp call
until today
has he gone away now
blue blue
stately blue jay waits
calmly swoops down from tree limb-
squirrel loses nut

Red lights flashed a bird named Jay
who laughed at the crosswalk and had to pay
Let that be a lesson to all you big talkers
~ lest you end up broke, like poor Jaywalker
