It's a Chick Thing
We are crafters,I know,
We do things row by row,
We'll do housework at the end of this row,
We said that several hours ago!...

On Being Untidy
The more I let go of
these tiresome soul struggles,
the should haves,
the should bes,
the more it is possible,
to be messy and
alive....

Round the Bend
housework drives me round the bend
there is never an end in sight
I'd get stuck in to get it finished
but I'd be up half the bloody night!...

I shirk
house work

my spouse
cleans house

I try
she sighs

get out
she shouts

I smirk
no work

I leave
well pleased

all day
I play

Doing chores in the buff on my mind
apron strings dangling down my behind
I hope he keeps mum

'coz my window cleaner's just resigned!...

Housework
Dripping Dry
It’s fun not
to lie,
Dishes are done
let’s have some
Fun!
Friday Night
At last
Time for a Blast
Take it all in
Like a Dolphin
that swims...

Chores
suck,
laundry,
dishes too.
All of this to do.
I would hire a maid for it if I could afford to,
but that is impossible, and even with housework, in God all things are possible....

His little silhouette
follows me from room to room
the curiosity kills him
and he takes the vacumn
from my hand
trying to help with housework
one day he will be a good helper
and little chef...

Fragment of Life
One fragment of life,
I became a wife,
Nice day for a black wedding,
I 'achieved' a golden ring,
Did I marry for housework?
Is divorce all it's worth?
Way back when I was a wife,
One fragment of my life....

If I am forced to relinquish ten things, these are the things I will abdicate:
Politics

Rat poison
Cars without chrome

Mean people

People who don’t like dogs...

Domestic Order
The kitchen's disinfected, the worktops squeaky clean,
The laundry's in the wardrobe and nothing's left in the machine.
The crockery is washed and dry, it's stacked in cupboards, looking neat.
There's just one nagging problem, I've got nothing left to eat!...

Premium Member Just My Luck
My wife rudely says that at housework I suck
and yelled “it’s your turn, here’s the broom”. Just my luck!
  But babe, sweepin and dustin
  cramps my drinkin and lustin
but she warned “no dustin, no lustin!”…WTF!

Bride handed broom to her new groom
Got a laugh from the other side of the room
And a few laughs from those looking on through Zoom

He has gone from one aggressive woman to another
Stated his all-knowing well-aware brother
They had done all the housework at the home of their mother...

Decision-making often is quite daunting.
Uncertainty pervades my thoughts this morning.
Two worthy causes prove persistent—haunting
my fevered mind. The one will I be scorning,
for now, is housework. Rhymes, I will be penning.
Preferring words to cleansers is not sinning!

Housework
Can't shirk

Dust dirt
Desert

Dusting
Busting

In hand
Disband

Move forth
With cloth

Wipe clean
Shine sheen

Wash clothes
Dirt goes

Hang out
Line route

Switch on
Iron

Decrease
Each crease

Vacuum
Bedroom

Wash floors
And doors

No fun
Jobs done.

*Route pronounced rowt for rhyme purpose*

Premium Member Nature Cleans
It was a moody day
rain fell slowly and steadily
not wanting to stop
green tree leaves
hung heavily
laden with moisture
puddles became larger
covering the streets
hiding pot holes
the start of a small stream
runs along the sidewalk
washing the dirt
to the nearest drain hole
cleaning city streets
mother nature
refreshing and rejuvenating
doing her housework....

''Myself As a Whole''
Lost at times.I feel movement but, mind is still.Haunted by memories of my mother.God rest
her soul.Longing for my little sister Nicole.Where have you gone?I miss you so much.I wake
up to baby, his soft skin I touch.Housework, and books most of my day.I can't stop writing,I
can't put my pen away.Passion in my heart floods, like a river rising.Every day is
new,always surprising....

Premium Member Tired of Princesses
If you are going to swarf, swelt, black out or swoon
Please do it outside under Dracula’s moon
Too many drama queens are in this house already
Thanks to the eight daughters of Arlene and Freddy

But if you are going to help with the housework
Then come on down, and join me, for you do not irk
I am tired of princesses who will not lift a finger
They are the ones who never leave, perpetually linger...

Woman's Hands
Simple hands are working hands
Of women all across vast lands
                        Wipe tears and feed man
                                     For some their life plan

                                  Tired eyes mend the clothes
Celebrate life as your child grows
Women customs passed down to girls
Housework chores stored liked squirrels...

The Iron
Sits there and judges.
How dare you mock me!
Do you think I have time
to perfect smocked sleeves?
Turned down collars
Frilly blouses
Pleats wrinkle-free.

You are redundant
No longer of use
Except as a doorstop
Or in self-defence.

I will not be cowed
By your flat, grey face.
I glory in chaos,
Crumpled cottons and lace.
I shy from the conservative
Perfectly straight
We will not have flatness
Except on our plates.

Premium Member Housework Never Begun
There is a teensy tiny bit of hope in the recesses of my mind
That this house will clean itself.
That I will wake up and it will be done.
The pages and piles and boxes and bags will
Have miraculously disappeared overnight.

There is another part of me that
Simply does not care.
I will tap into that part today.
It is a Saturday, my day off.
More snow tonight. Makes sense.
We just paid to have the snow removed from the driveway....
