An Insomniac

              An insomniac awake,
        with nights in a real mess !
             Oh, one can try many things;
    music, meditation, baths,
                   writing poetry, praying,
          with minds astir and racing.
          Or give up and do housework !

Dear Constance, This one made me smile and wince in recognition. Oh, that restless, racing-mind feeling. It’s funny, a little tragic, and totally true. Thank you for turning sleeplessness into something poetic and relatable. Autumn Blessings, Dear Constance, Daniel

Though we may not be able to sleep, lying quiet on bed will give us rest and doctors say it will compensate for our lack of sleep. Not quite sure. I feel what you suggest may be fruitful. All the best, dear Constance. The image chosen is so suggestive.
