Wife has picked a fight.
No holds barred! Man, she's a sight,
            screaming through the night.

            Warlike wife's wild words:
            "You vile, vicious, cranky cur!"
            He growled and bit her!

Imaginary Monster
It bared its teeth
and growled its growl
and knocked over the vase.

I saw it!
I saw it!
It also pushed over the lamp!

Down crashed all
the plates!
It was a huge disgrace!
I saw it!
Yes, I saw it
smash all of the plates!

Then it trashed my room,
broke the vacuum,
and left without a trace....

Immortally Dead
i knelt for his scythe
much to his surprise
bowed my head
nothing said
why don't you beg
his boney teeth sprayed
all fear
when i am near
answer me
i was made to die
now tell me that i lie
raise your eyes to mine
he chimed
head still bowed
just do it i growled
but don't miss
or your name
will make my list...

I'D Rather Be a Bunny
A bunny and his honey went to shop
Then danced all night doing the bunny hop
With so much fun
A contest was won
Then tired to bed the bunnies had to flop!

That night two wolves were in a ballyhoo
They howled and fought and growled till they were blue
Both tired and so hurt
They slept in the dirt
I'd rather be a bunny wouldn't you?...

Tom Waits encountered the devil at a crossroads. "Well hello Tom, what do you want most in this world?" And Tom said, "A shot of whiskey." The devil said, "Don't you want to be a great singer? And join me in a singing contest?" "Whiskey," Tom reiterated. "But I can give you anything, anything you want." "F**k you, I'll get my own whiskey," growled Tom, and continued on his way....

Premium Member Trying for a Better Daughter
Their daughter was not nice
She was a mean girl
They had mis-parented her
By allowing her to be in charge

It was too much for her
She was spoiled, disappointed and angry.
She growled and snarled at them
They were the enemy – her parents.

So they built a robot.
This daughter will be perfect they said.
But they spoiled their daughter robot too
She poisoned their food...

Fox Paulistinha
He grabbed and tore my jeans as I came in
Then raced over, pretty much, everything
Then showed me his teeth as I sat down
And growled hard, I wouldn’t even frown.
So he placed his toys on my feet
Brought his bowl and pretended to eat
Then jumped to my side
Placed his head on my thigh
Closing his eyes with a sigh
After a long attempt to bite his tail,
And since everything else had failed....

Premium Member Mission Impossible - the Prequel
I bet they laughed, I bet they howled
I bet Winston Churchill growled
Where’d you get this loony from
He’s talking ’bout a bouncing bomb

All the drawings all the plans
All the notes and telegrams
Tell what happens when one slams
Barrels into concrete dams

Laden heavy for the flight
Nineteen bombers in the night
A secret plan too mad to warrant?

First a trickle then a torrent...

A Cup of Rain
I put my hands together
And make for me a cup,
And when it's cloudy weather
I go to fill it up.

"Oh big big clouds,
Won't you fill it for me?
I love to drink raindrops
And they love to kiss me."

And sometimes they hear me,
And sometimes they don't,
And once they were near me,
But growled out, 'We won't'.

But if my cup is empty,
And nothing they will give,
I still will love raindrops
As long as I live....

Peeked over the edge of Monday
Weary…eyes blinking, birds chirping
Spoke to the Keurig: “black, no sugar”
It growled back, slowly.
It seemed to be saying:
“Never go jogging with a 2 year old”
How can someone with legs that short
Be that quick….and curious…
Every stone a mystery
Every flower an invitation
Every moment an inspiration.
When he shouts: “PAPA!!”
The kid inside me starts dancing.

Its My Couch
I pissed my dog off today
He wouldn't listen to what I had to say
He didn't have to be such a grouch
I just wanted him off my couch

Why is he so mad, I didn't even holler
I just pulled on his collar
He was being such a jerk and wanted to fight
Snarled and growled and gave me a bite

We had one hell of a brawl
Across the floor and half way up the wall
I don't think I can take it anymore
He's on my couch while I'm sleeping on the floor!...

Premium Member Yanks
(World War II)

"Bloody Yanks," he said.
"Crawling in like cockroaches,
                       gobbling up our women."
His words hung heavy
                       in the thick smoke.

"Aye," said the bartender.
"Overpaid, overfed, oversexed."

"And over here!" the old man growled.

The young couple danced snug,
barely noticing
as he slammed his glass down
                       on the counter,
slid off his stool,
and stomped out the door....

That Kind of Day

The cat just hissed and slunk away
the dog low growled and hid,
squirrels sat teary eyed in tails,
sparrows still on ‘lectric rails.
Oil skin clouds sailing past
billowing dark pirates bones
sun, as hostage, tied to mast
moon in slivered shiver tones.
Cold steel shrapnel’s stinging touch
reddened cheeks unwanted blush.
The cat just hissed and slunk away,
it was just that kind of day.

Geez, that’s not fair! Stop growling so viciously you monster; whoa! I’ve got to get out of here…it’s got Mom’s arm! I jump and run for dear life and shout, “Go pick on somebody else’s cat!” It growled, ate part of the carpet and died instantly. Mom calls it a, “Cheap vacuum”, as she pulls her hand from its’ mouth. I’m terrified and relieved; it didn’t chew her hand off but, it obviously tried to swallow her whole… it got what it deserved!
