Slipping
there is this
continuous ruckus
surrounding us-
broken balance
faltered- permanently
startled- rattled
chandelier spirit-
the epic unforgettable
lyric that keeps
slipping my mind...

She

The street light shined dimly
Its shallow shadows slithered
The icy covering now bearded
In a five o’clock shadow

His hand faltered
The easel rattled
His brush refocused
On the edge of the wind...

Premium Member The Brothers
The brothers coil around each other
Like make-believe children.
They dance in their fantasies
While it gets darker still in the morning,
When none of them faltered, felt tired,
When the memory of when and where one soul ends and another begins unglues....

World's End
The world as we know it
Has not come to an end.
It has just faltered,
Because, my friend,
We have altered
The world's living organisms.
It was predicted that
We would one day die,
But, many of us look upon that day
And sigh.
Others panic for they don't know
The true meaning of this.
We all die
on our own time....

Premium Member Self Love Is In the Air Bob and Wheel
I'm back;
Self love is in the air;
Fire up now I'm on track;
Boy test me if you dare
but I found that life hack;

Shining.
inner light with no bounds;
That's what you see lifting
me into the storm clouds;
Any doubts left dying;

Inside
I have faltered before;
Uncontrollable tide
raging inside my core;
Never again backslide....

Said Shea Marriage Its the Law But
marriage –It’s the Law -- but
Don’t marry a man you think you love
marry a man who loves
and sell drugs
that way you can get real high
and not know what he does
because honey!
believe me
you never know
what he really does
I have had a 1000 years
looking into what men does
and I only found one good one and even he faltered....

Half Left
I feared you would forget me
You often said my name
Not always the right person
But remembered all the same

Though your memory faltered
Your spirit shined within
You loved to laugh and joke
And your smile became a grin

You had your little sayings
Maybe this one was your best
I ask, are you alright Mum?
And you say no, I'm half left...

His audience floated while shadowed in umber darkness of the concert hall Upon his dusty piano, a spotlight glowed as his musical notes cascaded in a waterfall He faltered then stopped near the end his wispy presence slowly faded away I've given up the pretense of trying to pretend I still hear him as he sits near me to play

Sleep!
Sleep , sleep
I would have you sleep
Like the faltered rose
Reflected in hour glass
The pouring sand
Keeping the time alive.

The wind you are
The face in the sea
A blossom in thorns
A perfume under trees.

Wake , wake
I would have you awake
In the arms of sun
Where you lean
Behind the clouds
To accumulate riches
Shimmering rooftops
Of the rain in stitches....

Iron
Sunday did not pan out,
an iron faith faltered.
It was a wane wobble.
it was cellular rust,
it was not enough iron.

Iron pills rattle in me like BB pellets,
my stools are obsidian artifacts.
More red wine, less whine.

The day got no better,
anemic confusions swirled.
I sucked upon nuts and bolts,
listened to Metallica,
had to iron-out yet more
non-ferrous unpleasantness....

Doves Faltered
When doves faltered

   and babies cried,

hence blood was shed

in the name of the Father,

as every mother's bosom

  was purged of her child

grown to a man, only to die

  defending his brother's religion,

whilst no human was spared the

    wrath of wartime communion amid

    contradictions of holy water's delusions

Premium Member When Harmony Faltered
Enamored with desire
Genuine tug she felt
Cuddling sensual love

Till knock on the door
Startled her vision.

Reluctantly she awoke
Knowing why he came
As familiar vibrations
Announced his name

Sounding a warning
When harmony faltered
As the songbird missed
Its rhythm on purpose

Alerting her sanctity
To resume her dream
Opting veritable fantasy
Over spurious reality.

Bounce
I awoke one day,
high in spirit,
with a bounce in my step.
I flew above the clouds,
above the sky,
bouncing throughout the abyss.
But as time dragged me through
this eternal eternity,
my bounce faltered, and I began to sink.
No longer could I touch the sky and stars,
instead settling for the feeling
of grainy dirt and hard wood planks
that encompassed my body,
a body that could bounce
no more....

The day poetry stops
  words inept
    rigid strokes
      faltered attempts
A hand floats
  amputated
    over paper white
      virgin
A blank mind
  untuned dissonants
    lonely tones
      blank bars
Dance halts
  legs cannot carry
    strangled sounds
      lost steps
And tears form
  small lakes
    round pools
      failed chances

Faltered Words
His words falter and flail
They shatter across the pavement
Fear raises itself and resolves itself
To see itself as only foolish hope
Confusion’s fetters clamp on to him
And pride impales itself to quickly march
With his complex morality into battle
The mind follows the crippling chaos
And reaches for falling shelves of memory
And each loses itself in the spiralling floods of life
While soldiering on into the night...

Premium Member Trump Is Falling
He's our savior
a man of utmost principals

He stands up against the deep state
and speaks his mind concisely

But he has faltered
and hoarded sensitive information

Now silver bars may bind his home
for several years to come

What can we do to help
how can we save the man we love

There may be no protection against his crimes
he tallied them up so much

All we can do is watch
Watch as a giant falls...

Flesh Encounter
When I saw her in the flesh I knew she was real,
My eyes winked just to confirm that she was no freak
Took a step forward physically overwhelmed;
And fragile soft fingers busted my burning left cheek.

Two steps backwards with the third I faltered and fell,
Bright stared lightening jolted the daylight from my toils,
Sweet aroma in stunt attacks, lips try and quell;
Dejected, I know photos never bounce on recoil....

Premium Member Hmmm
Alright, someone erred
Stole a moment of glory
Occupied centre stage
Through means unethical
To which most took umbrage

This is a time for reflection
Do we hesitate to forgive
Instead condemning the soul
Who momentarily went astray
Is not love and light our goal

Let us mindfully gentle touch
In each and every situation
As we leap forward to embrace
Assisting those who faltered
Leaving of past wounds no trace...

I think I’ve faltered again I crossed that line The one I promised Never to cross again Under my skin, You seem to be again How did you get there? Do you even know? That you are there again? Maybe you are not even aware That you faltered again - You got me, in that confused space Where I know what I feel, But I am so not sure if I want to feel it again
